"The worst restaurant in Windsor. I came here on my birthday last year and had the worst experience in a restaurant in my life. We had to wait for ages for our table, even though we had pre-booked one. Then we had to wait over twenty minutes for them to come over and ask us for our drinks orders. We were ready to order at that time so ordered our starters and mains. Our drinks came with our starters, nearly half hour after we had ordered. The drinks were watered down and the starters were not terrible, but not incredible either. We then waited for another half hour for our mains to arrive, but grew tired and hungry waiting, so in the end I had to chase up our waitress to demand where our food was because we were being ignored after waiting for ages. She told us it was going to be another twenty-thirty minutes. All she had to do was come over and explain to us in the first place that it was extra busy tonight so the food was going to take longer, but she had zero customer service skills. I asked to speak to the manager and was given the head waitress instead. We told her we were going because we could not wait any longer and we had already been seated for an hour and a half and not even received our main meals yet. She took the starters off our receipt and only charged us for the drinks. This could have been avoided if someone had the decency to explain to us what was going on. We could have then decided whether we wanted to stay and order a few more drinks while we waited for our meal, or chosen to go somewhere else. By the time this ordeal was over, it was after 10pm and too late to get into any other restaurant. In the end, we decided to go home and order Dominos. My 29th birthday was spent in a foul mood, in the worst restaurant ever without even eating there. Thanks for ruining my birthday, Charley's Horse. And thanks for retrieving it, Dominos."

"We booked in for Christmas Eve late lunch early tea booked in for the adult dining area to the right which we were seated in but lots of family’s in there kids running around it was very noisy, the food was delicious we had chicken goujons...to start followed by Lasagna, gammon Top brink burger the food was delicious, and the service was good, didn’t order puddings as the wild noisy children in there had drove us mad, parents letting there children run around,so we couldn’t wait to get out, last time we were there they told us that the adult dining area had gone for now due to covid but I mentioned when paying and the young lady said it was due to room for families? I understand it’s a family pub but these parents had no consideration for anyone else. Please bring the adult dining area back when it’s a table of adults only eating you don’t want to sit where kids are shouting screaming and running around."

"Yesterday, I visited this restaurant with a group of 7 cyclists. We were warmly welcomed and the food was excellent. I highly recommend the smoked salmon and rucola on roasted bagels (£5.95). We visit cafes all over Hertfordshire and Essex, and this one was just as good as anywhere else we've been!"

"After wanting to try this cafe for a while I wasn't disappointed in the food I ate, my company weren't as keen but they were fussy kids. We ordered a bbq chicken wrap but it was to spicy for the young girl. My club sandwich was yummy though. Only thing I would say is the price of diluting juice was a bit high as for 5 glasses i was charged £7.50. The kids meal was supposed to come with a mini cake but wasn't offered or given it. Other than that everything was great, I would recommend to others and I'd visit again but make sure things were more suited for the kids."

"Went for lunch today with my other half, ordered 2 steak burgers with sweet potato fries and normal chips, my fries were completely burnt physically couldn’t eat them and my partners chips were undercooked, overall £48 including 2 cokes and onion rings, left feeling sick and now have dodgy stomachs after the dodgy meat burger. Not one to leave bad reviews but really disappointed and not cheap either. Service: Dine in"

"I had a great experience during happy hour at the bar. I highly recommend trying the clams, empanadas, and olives. The Spanish wines were delicious. Be sure to order the paella upon arrival, even though it takes 45 minutes to prepare, it is definitely worth the wait. The yuca cake was outstanding. However, I did not enjoy the almond flan as it was too gritty for my taste."

"We stopped by for lunch on a weekday with our dog and felt comfortable right away. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the pint was great. The service was outstanding, as they even helped me when I lost my purse. We can't wait to dine here again the next time we're in Croyde."

"Will start by saying how hospitable the staff were and how good it was to offer a cheesecake as we had a group birthday. Overall however I’d say the food was only okay and not really authentic. Considering it is a Mexican restaurant, I requested my food to be very spicy so was expecting that and I asked for only a little sour cream on the food. So I was a little disappointed when receiving my food that it tasted rather under seasoned and I didn’t really taste any spice at all, the salsa although requested hot tasted like a mild one. The food had what I’d say is excessive sour cream on top which made eating the burrito particularly more difficult. Considering prior to the meal also I saw someone bringing a tub of what looked like the cooked rice I had I wasn’t surprised to find that felt very dry and bland. Despite quite a few flaws there were good points such as the cocktails we tried, wedges, guac and meatballs. As mentioned despite the food being under seasoned and not spicy it was still cooked properly in the taco and burrito. Overall I’d say there are better restaurant options in the area for the price but this place is somewhere which is maybe worth a try for someone if you don’t mind that the food is more of an imitation of Mexican food. Mainly due to the atmosphere and staff friendliness/ hospitality. Service: Dine in Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

"There’s something about this bar restaurant with its wooden floors and vintage black-and-white photographs adorning the walls that always pulls us in whenever we’re in Chepstow. The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the food is excellent. The music softly complements the atmosphere, allowing for easy conversation without raising your voice. Plus, the mostly pedestrianized street outside makes it a lovely spot to sit and enjoy your meal."

"- Donner Kebab: 10/10. Absolutely fantastic, whether it's the dipped donner or stir fry. I would definitely order this again. - Chips: 10/10. Even after traveling back, they were still crispy and tasty. The red salt is amazing. - Chicken Tikka: 4/10. Very dry and lacking in flavor. It could be due to eating it long after collection, but the flavor is still missing. - Honey Sauce: 2/10. Not sure what the intention is here. I had a few people try it with different items, but it didn't quite work. It might be better if it was thicker and spicier to pair beautifully with chicken. - Pizza: 5/10. The Margherita pizza was okay, but it could use more tomato. It was a bit hard for us, probably due to the travel time. Maybe reducing the time under the grill would help. Overall, I would rate the restaurant 6.5/10. I would order again, but I would lean more towards the donner options."

"So I have been to this place maybe 15 times already and that in itself says how satisfied I am. Mainly I eat the mangos burger and time to time the kebab. I love the girls who serve. All friendly but I have two issues....1. I think that when you’re eating they should pop by at least once to ask how your getting on. This almost never happens. 2. They never clear your table when done. It piles up as your eating. Even get desert and old plates are not taken. This is criminal. I have also had to fetch my own drink from the fridge as nobody ever came by. So other than that. They’re great and food is good and it’s better than all their previous names were."

"Wow, what an experience! We phoned late in the evening unsure if the Google timings were accurate (they were) After a quick friendly chat we made our way down. Had an easy conversation with the proprietor whilst she prepped food and assisted us in our choices. Food was ready 10 mins later. Food was simply amazing, loads of flavours that all worked well, just enough heat to make it interesting but not uncomfortable. Absolutely try them out, you will not be disappointed. Wheelchair accessibility: Flat path from carpark to serving window and kitchen door."

"...we made it to a Mexican and Cuban restaurant with a brilliant cocktail bar too. It was a little place in Royal Oak called Loco Mexicano'. The best thing amount small places that aren't a part of a franchise is you get amazing quality food for your money and a reasonable price. After a lot of choosing, we went started off our meal with a starter. We ordered spicy chicken nachos, which were the best nachos I have ever had. The salsa was handmade, not something that did not come in a bottle. It was covered beautifully in cheese and the chicken was covered in a dry roasted spicy sauce. After starters, we decided to mix things up for the main course. I have not had a good steak in a...read more"

"Restaurant is colourful and has typical Mexican vibe decor. The restaurant has a couple of tables on the street, they appear to be following guidelines on covid so staff wear masks, sanitiser and taking log of customer name and number. There is no plastic frames as in other restaurants but they have separated tables and I assume serve less customers now. It was a Friday night that was a girls night. The restaurant was full but it seemed to be that they where short of staff as the food and drinks took time to come. Even though we waited for food and drinks but when it came the food was so tasty but the cocktails was the best. We enjoyed all the cocktails. The bar where the cocktails was being made all the empty glasses was just piling up all night. Again I think due to minimal serving staff. Even though they appeared short staff the staff was still very friendly and welcoming, the last cocktails of the night was in plastic cups due to the 10pm closing time and they gave lids for the cups so easily able to take away the cocktails. Overall a good night."
