"They have a free campsite here which is brilliant. Good flat pitches and a toilet with shower that you can use. We had a meal in the pub which for the most part was ok but one of the meals was not very good, nuked new potatoes which were quite inedible and Hunters Chicken which was just a butterflied chicken breast smothered in bottled barbecue sauce with a strange cheese topping! To be fair the staff were very helpful and understanding and took the price of this meal off the bill. It was probably just a one-off as they seemed to be having staffing issues. It is a quaint pub with a good atmosphere."

"When we celebrated our son's 6th birthday, we visited Hilltop Farm for breakfast. This place is truly a gem—warm and inviting, with the kindest staff you could ask for. The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. The staff made beautiful gestures, such as writing a lovely birthday message on Oliver's pancake and lighting the candles on his birthday cake. They made our son's birthday breakfast feel very special. Thank you so much!"

"Blink and you may miss it. But you definitely don't want to! A small shop on a little strip with a limited amount of parking outside. There were people queued outside 10 mins before opening. The shop uses a clever system that allows for pre-ordered food, a couple of touch screens with card payments and the traditional order at the counter. The front counter is organised into sections for efficiency, and they are a well oiled machine. The bit you are probably waiting for.... The food. We ordered chicken pieces (x8), chips and a homemade curry sauce. Steak pie, chips and curry sauce. The chicken was excellent, the pie was exactly what you would want, and the chips were as good as I have ever had. They say you can judge a chip shop by their fish and chips. Although I didn't try the fish this time, I would be confident it was very good and will no doubt try that next time. The curry sauce was fantastic. Easily one of the best I have had. You can tell it's homemade. Although this chip shop is at least 20 mins from my home, it has now become the only place I would buy from. In short, wonderful food, fast turnaround, and pleasant staff who are extremely efficient. Oh, almost forgot. Reasonably priced too! 5 stars. "We stopped in for lunch and I had the pie couldn’t fault it and it was filled to the brim with the tastiest beef. My husband had the soup and sandwich and was not disappointed. I managed to have dessert and on their recommendation, I had the chocolate delice and it was incredible and the nicest dessert I’ve ever had the homemade stout I’ve cream made the dish. The food was so good that we went back again on our second visit, I had the croque Monsieur and my husband the beef brisket open sandwich. Again, the quality and taste was fantastic. These guys do not skimp on portions! My husband also loved their stout. We were in Tintagel for a week and these two lunches were by far the best. The restaurant is very pretty, the food incredible, friendly staff and I feel the price is very fair for the high quality of food. We will 100% go back next time we are in the area."

"What a gem! Walked past this pub whilst away on holiday with friends... they had the sweetest Xmas window display. So warm and inviting. We called the following day and reserved a table for the Saturday evening. 4 Adults and a Toddler with allergies. The waiter was very accommodating and explained the menu. Not at all hesitant about speaking with the chef to double check ingredients for us. Food was delicious and the log burner next to our table made it all warm and cosy. Would return if and when we are in the area without a shadow of a doubt."
