"The speed of service was fantastic, food arrived quickly to table. Was a tiny bit disappointed with my soup and thought it lacked a bit of flavour but it’s hit and miss with chicken noodle anywhere you go. The sechaun chicken delicious and and the...chicken curry too. Good sized portions. If it was more socially acceptable I would have licked the plate clean! Next time I’m in the city centre I’ll definitely be back."

"I went here with my gf for mum, I really enjoyed it and it seems dona good trade supply food to all the demand I saw to eat a series of chaps. the dimme sum was freshly tasting, it was very tasty and I sometimes underestimated how temperature hot it would be and I had to wait until I had to cool down. I'm from hongkong and I was impressed with the food. the ribs had a beautiful sauce they had in their mouth tender flesh. the siu mai well made and freshly made. the crispy pork bauchnabel bao was beautiful because the skin was so delicious and crispy in a white bao. the sweet fish cakes were so pleasant I ordered two plates. the dizzying dumplings were very well filled. they had nothing sweet, which I would recommend, because the fried milk bars were not on camp. excellent service the ladies there were so beautiful and polite. they made sure we were good at lunch. "Lots of options but none of them tasted great. Dishes were like something one could knock up quickly at home using roughly cut vegetables which had been in the fridge for a while. Dishes using vegan bits made a nice change! As well as the food in the photos, we had vegan satay sticks and a lime leaf stir fry. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-13"

"the firefighter offers a spicy alternative to the otherwise bare and blanching alternatives in and around milbank towers. I just tried the food offers. the idea was to try every combination. now, I find the meal offers the best value for money in the restaurant. just letting was the huh teriyaki it was sweeter than usual. food 3.5/5 service 4/5 ambiente 3/5 the seat is comfortable, but the interiors are too dark for my pleasure. I recommend this place"

"Had a lovely meal with the family today at Mr Basrai's. Many choices. Tasty food. Friendly and helpful servers. Great value too. Would certainly recommend. The Mrs and I went back to Mr Basrais for a meal yesterday, first time after it reopened after lockdown and it was lovely! Staff friendly and caring as before. Food delicious as always. Received 50% off as well on food and soft drinks due to the #eatouttohelpout scheme. Loved it! Will visit again towards the end of this month."

"This was our second visit to the restaurant and it will definitely not be our last. The atmosphere was great and we had lots of fun celebrating my wife's Birthday. After the meal, everyone sang Happy Birthday, and then a confetti bomb went off. The kids were given silly string to spray all over, especially my wife and me. Everyone came out laughing and talking about the experience. The food was authentic and well priced. Overall, I would give it a perfect 10 out of 10."

If you belong to the group of people that went over to Grandma's house and had her chicken soup you will love this place. "Great café serving a variety of breakfasts, wraps, burgers etc. Dined in to have a breakfast around lunchtime on a Saturday. Service came with a smile and a friendly helpful manner and food was great. Unpretentious surroundings, obviously popular with the locals by the trade it was receiving whilst we were eating. "Overall, this restaurant was mediocre. The service was great, but the food was not good. However, this is not entirely their fault as the dishes are basically just quick preparations thrown together in a minute. The flavors were not bland, but they were not good either, mostly coming from the sauce rather than quality ingredients. I prefer actual beef over minced beef, and the lack of quality ingredients was disappointing. Information about the dish's ingredients should be provided on the menu. The menu was limited, but this is understandable. I probably would not return to this restaurant, but the availability of pre-made kimchi could attract some customers."

"I recently had dinner at this restaurant and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The price per person was over £100 but it was well worth it. The food was exceptional, I would rate it a 5, and the service was top-notch as well. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also a 5, creating a very enjoyable dining experience. "They have quite a few vegan/vegetarian options here, which is pretty great. Had one of the veg sushi sets (with vegetarian gyozas inside). It was pretty decently priced for the amount that you get, and considering sushi in other places would cost you probably twice or three times as much. The sushi pieces were okay, I guess. Nothing amazing, and not the worst sushi you will ever have. But avoid the gyozas! The skin is... not the best. Very, very tough and dry when I had it (doesn't help that they were cold as well) and it completely lacked flavour. Itsu is worth going only if it's after evening when they slash their prices down for their boxes, or if you fancy a quick, relatively cheap eat around the city. The place is pretty nice though, I'll have to say x"

"I reserved the function room for a party of about 25 people. The space was perfect, beautifully arranged with its own private bar, and we were able to decorate and play our own music through the sound system. The staff were fantastic, the drink prices were very reasonable, and everyone had a fantastic time. However, there were a few issues that I want to mention for anyone else planning to book. With better communication before the event, I believe these could have been easily resolved. The venue was very helpful and responsive during the booking process, but after I confirmed my reservation, I had trouble getting responses to my emails or phone calls until the day of the event. This led to them not being able to coordinate dinner orders as I had requested. There were not enough menus for the whole party, so wait staff handed them out sporadically, leading to a very staggered food service. Some guests waited hours for their meals, which was embarrassing as the host. Additionally, the rounds of drinks that I had pre-ordered to be served as a surprise throughout the evening were announced near the beginning of the event due to an internal miscommunication. We also had to vacate the room for a downstairs booth at midnight instead of the requested 2am, which should have been clarified in advance. Despite these issues, it was still a great night with wonderful memories. I would consider booking again, but would recommend eating beforehand next time."

"I went to Verso for a tea time birthday meal and was pleasantly surprised to find my entire family waiting for me for a surprise party. The staff had put tables together, decorated with balloons, and a card signed by all of them. The meals were served promptly, hot, and delicious with a great selection to choose from. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and even knew us by our first names. This personal touch set Verso apart from other restaurants in town. I thoroughly enjoyed my 65th birthday celebration at Verso Lounge, it was the best night I've had in a long time. The menu for kids was excellent and the food was prepared with skill and elegance. I initially told my wife I didn't want a party, but I'm so glad she organized it. Having my entire family in one place, at my favorite restaurant in town, was truly special. I can't thank the staff at Verso Lounge enough for making my birthday so memorable. Thank you."

"The food at this restaurant was average, but our dining experience was marred by an incident in the open kitchen. We were seated right next to the pass and observed the chef using a dirty tea towel to wipe surfaces and plates. Some diners complained and the chef reacted by shouting and swearing at the customers. Eventually, he stormed out after a heated argument. The young staff tried to apologize for his behavior, but it was clear that there was no one in charge. We appreciated that 20% was deducted from our bill, but unfortunately we will not be returning to Trefnant."
