"I've been trying to try this place for a long time, and I managed to go yesterday and I have to say it definitiw tasty (I got the loaded philly chese steak) but from my experience it was definitiw a little over price for what I actually got. ÂŁ9.89 for a meal is a little on the expensive side, considering that the cheese steak fell apart and soggy and was a struggle to eat physically. I guess I can forgive myself for the taste. I'll try a burger next time and make my decision."

"Phoned to see if they had any availability and we were told there's a table available in 20min. We drove through to a pleasant village and pulled into the carpark there was plenty of space we went in and was greeted by a lovely lady and shown to our seats. Very clean and light venue we ordered the Sunday dinner I had the corn feed chicken and my lovely wife had the pork and beef we both enjoyed the meal also were pleasant surprised when we asked for mustard and it came in a little pot way better then a packet so we'll done attention to detail. we had dessert the sticky Toffee Pudding and the creme Brulee also a coffee each. Staff were great and well presented and polite 5* all the way. Will return in the future most definitely well done a very happy customer."

"2 visits so far (takeaway) and nothing from both will stop me going back. Even though they were busy today I ordered my food for a time, turned up on the dot, and it was being packed up ready for me. The burger specials are amazing (had both The Elvis and Chicken Parm so far) and I am sure the desserts are on par. I just can't justify busting my diet that much!! Very friendly staff both visits, the fact the cafe is always busy is a very good sign. Must remember to try and limit my visits to one every couple of weeks....ish..."

"Great dining experience! The food was delicious and the perfect way to refuel after a day of hiking. We started with the large prawn cocktail and BBQ bonanza, followed by a 15-inch 50/50 pizza that we couldn't finish so we got a doggy box for the leftovers. Everything was made fresh in-house and the staff were fantastic, making our evening very enjoyable. Highly recommend this restaurant."

"Eating outside on the terras in the evening sun was a pleasant experience. My lamb was cooked to perfection with a thin crusty layer of fat and I don't get often such a nice ratatouille. My wife had gambas with a hint of hot Chili peppers and garlic which made her also happy. The glass of wine was served with a glass of water."

"First time coming here and I must say, best halal english breakfast in bradford for sure! It’s such a nice vibe inside with no silly pop music, just classical. Really nice seating and deco all over. Ordered the cheesy garlic bread (only downside today wasn’t baked long enough, floppy almost but still tasty), the chicken parm goujon (not the actual name but its on the “light bites” page on menu) this was amazing… juicy and succulent chicken parm bites. Pearls full english was spot on. The lamb chops were…. So soft to the bite, perfectly cooked, not chewy at all and flavour was great (i opted for medium spice). Also got the masala fish which just seemed like a masala batter version of the usual fish and chips… still really good and flaky fish, batter was crispy and not as oily tasting as I thought! Very much pleased. We got the hot chocolate with marshmallows and a “Dry Ice Mango Mojito” something different in bradford! Really refreshing and perfect for someone who loves a sweeeeet drink! Paid £60.25 Will be back for the desserts next time insha allah!"

"First day out of lockdown and came across the angel pub, only wanted a quick beer so popped in, masks on and shown to a table by Amber, who looks after front of house and runs the bar, mother runs the kitchen looking after the food.. 2 real ales, Timothy Taylors was my choice, turned out to be a very wise one, superb pint, as we're walking stayed for second, log burner going and locals very friendly, all willing to chat over a pint, returned next day lunchtime fish and chips and chicken parm with fresh veg, some of the best pub food we have had on our travels, thank you the angel, took photos at opening time to avoid crods spoiling pictures,"

"first I would like to say that the aroma spectrum of my new yorker deli sandwich was on point and unmatched. it seems to me, however, that the sub-flats of sandwich sandwich reflect a blatant and unpredictable deficiency or the consideration for the common sandwich eater. this is a ton that I reflected in many of the SS reviews and I felt something was necessary to be said. use a larger believing, they increase the dimensions, and I mean each dimension, the used brotes. fill from the filling, significantly undermine comfort, is fill in to not thank at all. my sandwich should have been a club, I needed more brot to contain this explosion of sauce and meat. that's a disappointment. I am covered with sandwich sandwich sandwich sandwich sandwich sandwich sandwich, and annoyed. please, to their customers will, put a secondary notsheet brot available to spill and catch rubbish. I could make a whole new and satisfactory sandwich with just what fell from myself. thank you for your time."

"I've walked past Translate bar several times, mostly in the day and each time I think ooh, what's that place, that looks nice' before realising again it is Translate. On Saturday, I actually went in, for a drink or two before The Dance Assembly at the Horse and Groom. And it was nice. It wasn't as busy as I feared it would be plenty of people to give it an atmosphere but there was still plenty of space for standing, or, if you were lucky, sitting like we did. There's pretty lights at the window and interesting art on the wall, plus that stripped back, brick thing that Shoreditch does so well. They had a couple of interesting beers that Stephen went for I had an averagely priced glass of house white which was plenty drinkable before perusing the cocktail list. These are mainly (or if you go for one of the posh' ones their words) which is an acceptable price to pay for a cocktail in a place whose raison d'etre isn't cocktails unlike, say, Callooh Callay or Worship Street Whistling Shop. I ordered the Taste of Honey (apparently the first person to actually call it by its name, rather than just the top two ingredients of honey and lime listed on the menu The menu, by the way, is a rather cute-looking thing itself, the ingredients of each cocktail being designed in the shape of a drink (presumable to match what it looks like when served). The taste of honey was a short, strong drink of rum, but obviously the addition of honey gave it a sweetness that I like in my boozy beverages. It was great, and I could have have had many more but I didn't want to spend a fortune so I switched back to wine for my last drink there. The music while we were in there was fantastic. I meant to write down just a few choice songs but each time another song came on, it was again worthy of note. So, a selection of our soundtrack to the night included:Salt n Pepa's Whatta Man, Soul II Soul's Back to Life, Madonna's Papa Don't Preach, The Doors – Break on Through, The Beach Boys – Barbara Ann and Aretha's Respect. Not too shabby diverse and a little bit old school but all gems to put you in a mood for a night out."

"my wife and I visited today at about 5.15we were well met by a lovely gentleman behind the bar who was very personable and helpful ,who also had a great knowledge of the area. we ordered two drinks and sat in the bar where we inquired about food . we were informed that the kitchen didn't start evening meals until 6 but the gentleman asked about any allergy or dietary requirements and went through the menu with us explaining the catch of the day, locally sourced ingredients and the specials for the day . as soon as the kitchen was ready he already had our menu choices and took it into the kitchen before time .. we decided on local mussels for starter, catch of the day sea bass for myself and chicken parm for the wife .. with everything cooked to order and the place being just starting evening service I expected a wait but I was pleasantly surprised when the mussels in a beautifully decadent sauce were infront of us before I finished my pint..they were provided with a bowl and a hot lemon water to wash your hands if you eat like an animal as I tend to do .I went up to the bar when we finished the starter and met the owner of the hotel who was very happy to chat and was proud to talk about his place and the food namely the connections to the local area .this gentleman served me at the bar and when I returned to the table he came and cleared off the table ..and returned with the mains in short order ..the sea bass was exquisite and fresh , the sauce it came in was incredible and the new potatoes where slightly pan fried to give them this small crunch when you bit into them the veg was a vivid green and obviously fresh ..it was all perfectly balanced beautifully put together and filling but at the same time a light meal ..perfection .the chicken parm was presented equally well and my wife enjoyed it massively. we tried a small piece of each others and would have happily ordered each others ..and still might we have a few days here..for our desert we chose the lemon tart that was made in house and was divine ...this is first class food .have no doubt about that ...the portions are substantial I'm an eater and if I were to leave a place feeling hungry I'd not write a review .I really enjoyed myself tonight i hope I can return to try some of the other items on the menutry this place you will not regret itBest food I've had since arriving here in polperro .rhys"

"We started with the aubergine dip and buffalo wings. The dip was nicely fried, but it lacked flavor. On the other hand, the buffalo wings were excellent. For our main course, we shared a chicken parmesan and a cheesesteak, both of which were surprisingly filling. Each dish came as two sandwiches, and I could only finish one and a half. The cheesesteak was good, though I found the steak a bit tougher than I prefer. However, I really enjoyed the chicken parmesan; it was tender and very flavorful."
