Sunday lunch today under new management was perfect. Excellent service and tasty quality food from the new chef. Dog friendly with outside area to eat and drink. We are local and look forward to going back. Service: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury

I had lunch at this restaurant and the food was excellent. However, I did have to remind the staff that I had ordered the surf and turf, not just the steak. The service was very quick. I cannot comment on the ambiance of the restaurant, hence the rating. View menu

I’ve never experienced so much food envy as I looked across our table!! I wanted to try every dish that arrived. Excellent food, great selection of dishes all cooked very well. We had a lovely overnight stay. Rooms are modern and comfortable. It was a bonus having fresh milk rather than those uht capsules you usually get in hotel rooms! Really enjoyed our evening meal and there was a good variety of choice at breakfast too. Of course what made our stay so good were the staff really welcoming and good at their job! I recently dined at The Sally and was disappointed with the changes in their menu. It's no longer the traditional food we have always enjoyed. For starters, I had the stuffed mushrooms but wished I had ordered the pate instead. The cheese in the mushrooms was overpowering and there was too much pesto. The steak I had for main course was priced at £26, but I would have preferred a less fatty and gristly cut of meat. The onion rings were also very heavy and over-fried, making it difficult to eat more than one. Overall, I did not enjoy the meal and left feeling very disappointed.

The interior of the restaurant is fantastic, I would give it a 10 out of 10. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long for our meals. The staff were all very friendly, and the location is beautiful with plenty of parking available. The prices were reasonable for the top quality of food and service we received.
