"Fabulous little cafe. Went on a Friday evening, did book but there were a couple of tables free during the evening. Lovely lady called sue the owner and chef. Sue will talk you through the menu vegetarian or vegan and gluten free. So much to choose from. Variety of teas too. No alcohol is sold on the premises, you can take your own. Can park outside on the street, spaces are limited. Lovely vibe to the place. Not open every evening, also do take away. Had the Chinese fritters so filling and delicious, you will not leave feeling hungry at all. I myself am a meat eater and I will be definitely returning."

So good! Jaxons 5 burger is sooooo good. Full of flavour and so big I couldn't finish. Chinese salt and pepper wings were good. Chimmychanga from the house specials was also very nice

We had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant. The food was incredible, very fresh and flavorful. The service was top-notch and we will definitely be back. It was the best meal we've had in a long time. Looking forward to our next visit!

really enjoyed the breakfast, good quality speck and the sausages were beautiful and much of it, I would recommend to every case and will return, oh and took some cake to the house with a beer to eat and was absolutely filled afterwards.

Been to the Coven twice now and although I'm not a vegan I really enjoy the food. The chickpea omelette is fantastic. They are happy to cater for gluten free diets and also serve alcohol. Would definitely return and would highly recommend.

I brought my mom to this restaurant for brunch today and we both had a great time! The food was excellent and reasonably priced, with generous portion sizes. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The coffee was top-notch, much better than what you'd find at chain stores, and there's even a bar available. This is definitely my go-to place for dining in Wigan. Plus, there's convenient free parking right outside, especially after 5:30 PM.

2 visits so far (takeaway) and nothing from both will stop me going back. Even though they were busy today I ordered my food for a time, turned up on the dot, and it was being packed up ready for me. The burger specials are amazing (had both The Elvis and Chicken Parm so far) and I am sure the desserts are on par. I just can't justify busting my diet that much!! Very friendly staff both visits, the fact the cafe is always busy is a very good sign. Must remember to try and limit my visits to one every couple of weeks....ish...

This cozy vegetarian vegan restaurant may be small, but it is truly exceptional. If you have any dietary restrictions, be sure to inform the chef in advance, as they are very accommodating. I have dined here multiple times and have never been let down by the delicious and diverse vegan dishes. The intimate size of the restaurant only adds to its charm, though it is recommended to make a reservation ahead of time. One unique aspect is that the restroom is located outside in the backyard. Overall, a delightful little restaurant worth visiting.

"After reading the reviews we was really looking forward to eating here ,however it turned out to be the worst tapas and worst service we have ever received . After waiting 10 minutes for someone to take our drinks order we then waited a further 30 mins to be served with what can only be described as toast with tasteless mushed up tomatoes on , this was inedible and hardly touched , a further 20 minutes on and we was served a single dish of chicken between two of us again this was very bland and resembled nothing like a original tapas dish more like a chicken korma again this was hardly touched . When I enquired as to where the rest of the food was I was told they was very busy . With this we decided to cut our loses and asked for the bill . Before leaving we tried to have a conversation with the manager who is also the chef to give some honest feedback ,however he wasn’t open to listening , he’s response was “it’s normal in a tapas restaurant to receive one dish at a time between two with a large gap between dishes wasn’t it explained to you that’s what tapas is “We felt this was a very patronising remark as we eat tapas on a regular basis and know this is definitely not the case . To matters worse there was people who came in after us with multiple plates and tucking in nicely to their meals . The manager who was obviously struggling to cope on a busy Saturday night should have just apologised and admitted our order had been overlooked . If you are looking for authentic Tapas with excellent service in Wigan go to Casa Carlos this place doesn’t deserve your hard earned money ."
