"I am always hopful when trying a new place but this was a let down. The waiter didn't seem to know what was on the menu, or what is job was, and it was a major mission just to place our order. The noisy turbine extractor fan in the dining room sparked to life when smoke from the kitchen filled the room, doors were opened to help manage the smoke, it was not nice. The food was okay, the value was okay with the toptable deal, but without the deal forget it. The washroom experience was unplesant to say the least. Air freshener lined the wall. Chicken was defrosting unattended in a downstairs kitchen sink. Sorry but never again"

"I attended Bollywood Junction last night or dinner for the first with some friends. The restaurant is quaint, and nicely decorated without going over the top. It was a lovely experience, and the ambiance was very welcoming and charming. The service throughout the evening was prompt and polite from the staff without being to overbearing. The menu provided was extensive with a variety of cuisines from the Chaat Counter to Indo Chinese and finally traditional Indian, at a very reasonable price. If you are a vegetarian, the vegetarian options on the menu are very impressive also. The Corriander Paneer we ordered as a starter, was the star of the show in my humble opinion, which was very moreish. We also ordered the small Mixed Grill and the Paani Poori which were also very delicious. I ordered the Lamb Bhuna for my main meal which was very flavoursome and the lamb was tender and cooked perfectly. All the food we ordered throughout the evening was excellent and tasty and the flavours were delicious and very well balanced. However beware the portion sizes are very generous so you may have to starve yourself for a few days before attending. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Milton Keynes, you won't be disappointed!!"

"We went to the restaurant on Sunday afternoon. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service could have been a bit faster, but it wasn't slow. The venue was very nicely decorated. My only complaint is that there are too many TVs in the restaurant. I didn't realize it would be like that. When I'm having Sunday lunch, I don't want to be surrounded by football on every screen. The restaurant feels more like a sports bar, even though it's not advertised as one. It's a shame because other than that, the restaurant is excellent."

"We were pleasantly surprised by our experience at Spice Zone. The restaurant has a simple decor, typical of "high street" Indian restaurants, but the food quality was outstanding. They offer a variety of delicious North Indian and South Indian dishes. Surinder, our host, was friendly and we had a great time chatting with him during our visit. We will definitely be coming back again."

"the English kitchen is not known for its lightness (the fish chips are a bit difficult to digest or for their variety. there are many looking for a few days in the country for new culinary discoveries, often exotic. that was our fall, and so we landed in tacos locos, in the heart of the high street. And what a great idea we had! Not only are the cocktails cheap, but they are excellent. eating is really delicious and plentiful. we loved especially the fajitas, with their delicious tortillas, as well as tacos, very crisp and excellent quality. in the evening there was a great atmosphere with Mexican music and cocktails to discounted trips."

"For work reasons I was in Edinburgh a few days ago. I entered this restaurant and I was delighted with the food, the service and the atmosphere of this place. I ordered some samosas and some lentils that were delicious. It is 100% recommended. If you are in Edinburgh and you like Indian cuisine, be sure to go."

"Jojolapa is the first Nepalese restaurant in Birmingham, located on Newhall Street. In a city well known for the cuisine of Nepal’s much more famous South Asian neighbour, the restaurant has held its own with discerning diners, so it was high time we tried it ourselves. Atmosphere There’s a buzzy vibrance to the place which contrasts fabulously with the moody low lit interior, dark wood furnishings and carvings. We saw relaxed diners enjoying drinks at the bar as they waited to be seated. Jojolapa has the ‘perfect night out’ atmosphere nailed. food Steamed momo chicken dumplings with mint and coriander sauce and Nepalese tomato sauce, chatamari (Nepalese pancake stuffed with vegetables and fried egg) and momo soup (chicken dimsum broth with noodles) were moreish starters. I was disappointed that the East Asian flavour to our meal pretty much ended there. There were very few main choices that I hadn’t eaten in an Indian restaurant. I opted for one of the noted Nepalese dishes special fish curry with nepalese spices. My guest plumped for the old faithful lamb rogan josh. Both were nice enough but I yearned for more of the starters. The kulfi ice cream was a delicious end to the meal. drinks There is a very respectable wine menu but Jojolapa is the natural home for cocktail lovers. The yummy jojolapa cocktail – black vodka, midori and cranberry juice marked the start of the evening in style and Jojolapa’s twist on the mango lassi served with vodka and orange liquer was gorgeous. overall There are plenty of Indian restaurants in Birmingham that boast similar dishes. But many of these restaurants can only dream of achieving Jojolapa’s cosmopolitan and sexy vibe seductively teamed with a friendly and super efficient service."

"Oh no. This restaurant improved slightly after changing ownership a few months ago, but it has reverted back to its previous poor quality. The service is practically non-existent, as no one even bothered to seat us at our table - we had to move after realizing we were at the wrong one. Customers must order and pay for their own food and drinks at the time of ordering, and the machine prompts for a tip before anything has even been served, which is quite awkward. The food was terrible, taking 40 minutes to receive and tasting unpleasant. The fish was mushy, low quality, frozen, and had a strange smell. For just a little more money, you could have amazing fish and chips at the Scallop Shell - I recommend going there instead. The restaurant lacks service, atmosphere, and any enthusiasm for providing good food or service. The establishment is too large for the staff to handle, as every table seemed to have dirty dishes on it despite it not being busy. I will not be returning here."

"I used to come to the Bengal Brasserie a lot many years ago 15 20 plus maybe and it only came back on my radar having moved house over to the Ormeau area. We have been there three times in the last couple of weeks and I couldn’t recommended the food, service and ambiance more highly. It’s a real treat to go there. The food is top notch fresh, full of flavour and beautifully presented. But what sets it apart is the warm welcome and customer service. My family and I were warmly welcomed on every occasion, and the Menu options were tailored to suit a range of tolerances to hot food and spice. Service was very attentive and personal on every occasion, and there is a clear level of pride among the staff. The little touches like the hot towels at the end of the serving and complimentary post dinner liquor bring back great memories of classic restaurant service. We loved it all and on every visit! This original version of Bengal Brasserie (the Lisburn Road one is a different business with difference owners I believe) has been an institution in Belfast for over 30 years and it is easy to see why it has stood the test of time when hundreds of restaurants have come and gone over three decades. My only regret is that it fell off my radar for so long, but I am so glad we have rediscovered it! I’d highly recommend it!"

"Since the well-run and ever better informed diners of london visit the market for authenticity, it is interesting to see how the restaurant of the middle market Indian' is coming. where I come from, no single Indian restaurant is operated by a person who has ever been in india (the family behind the taj mahal originates from karachi, and the man who promises a taste of india, hails from chittagong.) but in the city london and in countless suburbs, we have come to accept, embrace and always ask we go for a curry' instantly connotable asses of mild deception, civil and frivole entertainment and feel very full with delicious meat and fat. and there is always this beautiful moment when they serve them a laminated menu of frozen desserts in a plastic penuin that they would have rejected, even if they were not too full again because it is a disturbing picture. sripur is close to my office, zomato informed me, so I led us there about a precurry doombar in the cheshire Cheese./ and yes, in the old of dishoom, food trucks and Michelin-starred curry kitchen, the mid-market curry house of the city is alive and well. / I say the medium market because for two of us, with a poppadom, a tandoori mixed grill everyone, say chana, roti and naan, plus two large kingfishers each, the bill came to £60. < br>/ but it was great. not spectacular, but the mixed grill was exactly what they want to stand at this price point among these. the keema was substantial, the fehde. the naans were a bit thin and crispy for my personal taste, but they said and channa were both deliciously fed. and kingfisher is kingfisher a sin qua non of a good (british) curry experience./ was sripur as location service is friendly enough, efficient and uninvasive. it is mainly colonized by some men in suits. not the loud, obnoxic art, but a smashing, something behind their best gray-handed-the-ears chaps with loose ties and the intention of a £40 taxi house in front of them. / could have had another curry for it."

"Our visit to Spice Zone was a very pleasant surprise. "Good food but very poor customer service. Manager was not aware which credit cards were accepted by the card reader and during payment when my cards weren't being accepted by the reader, he kept on blaming that my cards didn't work and that his reader accepted all debit/credit cards!"

"My partner and I use to go to this restaurant quite a lot before covid and always enjoyed ourselves, good food, drinks and the service. Not much has changed for us in that respects except now there was only one lady taking orders etc. There was about 10 people in the restaurant and she seemed to serve everyone in an orderly fashion, we didn't have to wait too long for the food to come and it was delicious, our main was great, I had the green Thai Curry, and my partner had the crispy seabass, excellent, we couldn't finish it all and took the rest home. We enquired as to how the business was going and she said it is now starting to pick up, they had 20 staff at one point but after Covid had to let them go. It made me sad to see the other bad reviews on here as this place is worth a visit, not sure what happened when those visits were made but our experience was great. Gave four stars because they weren't serving Cocktails, but this was easily fixed as there are two cocktail bars along Westow Hill."

"My husband and son and I decided to stop here for lunch one Monday. We arrived just after 12pm. Sat down, had our drinks and food order taken and my little boy needed to use the toilet. My husband took him to the public toilets which to his utter disgust where completely blocked and disgustingly dirty. He then tried to take him to the restaurant toilets and they where pretty much the same! Could not use them. He alerted a member of staff and it wasn’t even acknowledged and I took him to the female restaurant toilets which where not as bad but had definitely not been cleaned. We again spoke to what was meant to be a young girl duty manager. Her response was oh the cleaners mustn’t have been in?? Seriously? Is there not checks done before opening? If environmental health had of shown up they would have been shut down. We only ate our food because we had already ordered. My husband decided to email to advise of the dirty standards and never got a response, hence now the review. Absolute disgrace. Standards have dropped massively."

"Perhaps the owners are new and they are still trying to get established. We were the only diners that lunch time. The food appears to be bought in and included oven chips and frozen peas. The fish, gammon and scampi were over cooked and the batter on the fish was soggy. It was served on cold plates.I should have said something at the time but it was a social occasion and I could not bring myself to make a complaint. Two days a later we had lunch at a pub less than miles away where the food was excellent but the price was the same.I note that the Wingfield Arms also does a Sunday lunch, perhaps that is better"

"best curry in glasgow! the shish is located directly on the great western road, near a subway station and close to the stand comedy club. they claim to have invented the tikka masala. I don't know if this is true, but you eat is amazing. they were already one because there, so it is a smooth operation, silver service style waiter but in a relaxed environment they are friendly and they do not need to dress formally. the food is brought to them in the rule and immediately deleted. the garlauch naans are huge and tasty. the chili chicken basar is a favorite of me. the prices are reasonable, not expensive, but not dirty cheap. they are licensed, but this is what they are for. visit them, they will not regret it!"
