"Since the well-run and ever better informed diners of london visit the market for authenticity, it is interesting to see how the restaurant of the middle market Indian' is coming. where I come from, no single Indian restaurant is operated by a person who has ever been in india (the family behind the taj mahal originates from karachi, and the man who promises a taste of india, hails from chittagong.) but in the city london and in countless suburbs, we have come to accept, embrace and always ask we go for a curry' instantly connotable asses of mild deception, civil and frivole entertainment and feel very full with delicious meat and fat. and there is always this beautiful moment when they serve them a laminated menu of frozen desserts in a plastic penuin that they would have rejected, even if they were not too full again because it is a disturbing picture. sripur is close to my office, zomato informed me, so I led us there about a precurry doombar in the cheshire Cheese./ and yes, in the old of dishoom, food trucks and Michelin-starred curry kitchen, the mid-market curry house of the city is alive and well. / I say the medium market because for two of us, with a poppadom, a tandoori mixed grill everyone, say chana, roti and naan, plus two large kingfishers each, the bill came to £60. < br>/ but it was great. not spectacular, but the mixed grill was exactly what they want to stand at this price point among these. the keema was substantial, the fehde. the naans were a bit thin and crispy for my personal taste, but they said and channa were both deliciously fed. and kingfisher is kingfisher a sin qua non of a good (british) curry experience./ was sripur as location service is friendly enough, efficient and uninvasive. it is mainly colonized by some men in suits. not the loud, obnoxic art, but a smashing, something behind their best gray-handed-the-ears chaps with loose ties and the intention of a £40 taxi house in front of them. / could have had another curry for it."

It 's not a bad restaurant. Maybe they suffered the 'all closed ' on Dec 25th, 2023. The starter, a kebab sausages, was really too dry. The main course was better. Appreciated the availability of personnel in a moment of crisis.

The food and service at this restaurant is top-notch, a rarity in the bustling heart of the city. We had no complaints at all and we are eager to return when we can. It is evident that the owner truly values the guest experience. View menu

We stayed in this general area for a few days and tried many of the restaurants for dinner. We had a green chili chicken masala, Chana masala, a beef dish and garlic nan bread. They had a nice wine selection. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic. We would highly recommend this place for an excellent Indian dinner.

we stumbled over this restaurant when we couldn't get a table. we are so glad we landed here! it was a Sunday night and very quiet with only a few tables occupied. no idea why eating was absolutely great, the aromen on the places, good portions and not too expensive for an iondon restaurant. service was fast and friendly. we will definitely come back.

Went to this place with my family on Christmas Day. The food was very tasty and hot when arrive, kids really loved the food especially shaslik and butter chicken- best I have ever had better than what I had in India. The service was excellent even though the place was packed and people were queuing outside. Would definitely recommend this place and will visit again soon hopefully. View menu

We were made to feel very welcome immediately upon arrival in this very pleasant restaurant. The service was uber efficient warm and friendly. When ordering, the dishes were explained in good detail which made our choices so much easier to make. The menu is easy to navigate including some recommendations from the chef. The food was very tasty with a variety of spice to cater for all tastes from mild to testingly hot. Reasonably priced good qualty dishes in a very clean environment and frindly atmosphere made our experience particularly enjoyable. Suffice it to say we will gladly return.

sripur is great for a fast business lunch as I experienced during my visit. the place was revived at 1:00 o'clock and we had to wait for a few minutes for a table. Mostly, profis who work around tower hill and monument and people short on time, but on the look for good lunch rate./ I had the dal tadka and spicy garlauch huhn with chapathis and must say that it was a very satisfying eating! the dal was well aromatized and of the right consistency that he had that Indian Chinese kick to him and the chapathis were soft and well made. / wish that we had time to try dessert, but was short, so had to get out. but since it is in the opposite and offers good food, there is always the next time!

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
