"I’m absolutely disgusted to have visited this restaurant and to be asked upon arrival if I have any allergies, to which I responded yes and explained I cannot eat onion or garlic. I then went on to order the carbonara and asked the waitress to confirm with the chef that there is no onion or garlic in the sauce, to which she said she cannot check. The host who seated us explained she would let the chef know of my allergies so I’m unsure what the difference is. Surely the person who is cooking the food within the kitchen is able to advise what ingredients is in the dish. I was informed this is company policy and they can’t check the packaging, however when I visited the Cheshire oaks restaurant the waiter was incredibly helpful and checked the packaging of the chicken for me to assist. I feel discriminated against for having allergies, that are totally out my control. I was told by the waitress that she is protecting the company’s reputation as you would be liable if she checks… what would make you more liable is if I order something after telling you of my allergies and then I have a reaction. You seriously need to rethink your policy. Every other restaurant I ever visit will adapt their dishes to suit my allergies, as should all food establishments. I was told you will only confirm the top 14 allergens… as though people with all other food allergies are irrelevant! I have never been made to feel so discriminated against in my life. Disgusting!"

"Came here for lunch before children returned back to school. We were seated straight away and greeted by our server Rowan our drinks and food order were wanted promptly. Have to give a special shout out to Server Lily who remembered our daughter from our last visit always so happy and friendly. Our food did not take long to arrive and all our meals were hot and very tasty. Our daughter gave everyone a big goodbye farewell on leaving."

"Sat down, days ago there to do some work on my laptop. Ordered a Hot Chocolate and macarons, looked suspicious as he didn’t type it in the system after still no one checked up on me or even asked or said anything. The...table that sat down after me got served. I had times the waitress looking at me, shortly after I realized i’m not welcomed there and also i’ve been looked down by them. It took me some time since i was busy on my laptop, but i guess that could be reason why they were not welcoming. Certainly packed my bags and left slowly and steady they had the same look during packing my stuff and still did not even bother with me, just straight up left me without even consider getting my order. Would never visit and also would definitely leave lower then if i could."

"Over the past 20 months, I have had the pleasure of purchasing new audio equipment from The Sound Organization. The service and advice provided to me by Matt were excellent. I recently visited their location in York to demo the new speakers, the Donator D7.2, and the Rega Planar 8 turntable. After the demo, I decided to purchase both items as well as Atacama furniture. Once everything arrived, Matt offered to come to my house in Kendal in the Lake District to install the audio equipment. This was a fantastic service that I greatly appreciated. Matt provided recommendations on speaker cables and how to set up the turntable. I will definitely be using The Sound Organization for my audio needs in the future. Thank you."

"We walked in as a family of 7 on a Sunday evening after having seen a film at the nearby cinema. We were shown to a table right away, a round one which made chatting easy. Our waiter James was a very pleasant young man and was extremely patient with us all whilst we chose from the varied menu, especially with the youngsters in our party. Drinks arrived promptly, followed by all our dishes arriving together; good staff coordination. I had the salmon risotto with broccoli stems which were cooked to perfection which doesn't often happen! "Our daughter has never in the past years been home for her birthday due to commitments in the first weeks of the school holidays and is only home for an evening in the middle ao we wanted to something special for her (albeit a couple of days early) We were picking her up from near Derby so we thought a trip on the way home to Sheffield would be a good idea. I found F&B restaurants in the area and plumped for this one. I booked for at and relaxed. Until the day before when I could not find the confirmation. So I booked again. The discovered with horror the first confirmation in my junk items. I promptly cancelled that one but then panicked that it would be construed as both being cancelled. As we had a cake I popped in before we went to pick her up. The staff were great, took the cake off me and reassured me that the booking was there. Off I went. Next panic came at when we realised we were running early. I needn't have worried. A quick call to the restaurant confirmed we could get there early. When we arrived there was only one other group sitting. This would ordinarily have worried me but after the fantastic service so far it didn't. First thoughts turned to a banner, not asked for, but so thoughtful saying birthday girl Never had that at a F&B before but wow, my daughter's face lit up. Should have said earlier that she has no clue we had planned this. Balloons galore at a corner table and we settled in. Great that we were not pressed to decide our food, bit could take our time. The waitress explained that they did not have any pineapple so Hawaiian pizza was off the menu. But she helpfully offered alternatives and we ordered. The meals came together and were hot (unlike my last F&B experience in Scunthorpe). The pizzas of us), lasagne and burger were well cooked and everyone tooked in. The obligatory is everything ok visit came but not before we had had chance to eat something and also a request for a top up of drink was met speedily (again Scunthorpe take note). Puddings again arrived promptly and together (yes this does matter) and after a nod the cake arrived. A great early evening for us s we headed home happy. Thank you to the team at F&Bs Manor Road, Derby for making one birthday girl feel extremely happy and one dad the most happy he has been with a dining experience for a long long time. Just please stock up on pineapple for next time (haha)"

"Well, I was staying away from home due to work and found this Indian restaurant (I do love Curries so looked out for one . Yes, the girl taking orders (I presume the owner's daughter was friendly and very helpful, and the service was quick, probably because there weren't many people in there, but that did surprise me because it was Saturday night. Upon arrival, I sat down and disappeared into the chair (no springs! moved to another seat only slightly better. Had poppadoms, tasted awful but they came out after around 30 seconds so maybe they were yesterday's? Chutney, mint yogurt etc were the worst I've had, very bland, even the onion was watery and tasteless. I wondered how good the main would be. Omg, I hate to say this but it was honestly the worst curry I have ever tasted and I was very disappointed. As other reviews have said, it was dry chewy chicken chunks in a paste. I ate half of it and just wanted to get out of there in the end, got the bill then suddenly they had a power cut! Lights kept flashing on and off as the owner repeatedly kept resetting the breaker which just kept tripping out. The card reader for payment stopped working so I was stuck. After 5 mins the owner brought out candles! Somebody in the restaurant offered to help the owner, and after 20 mins got the lights on. (I hope he was rewarded with a discount but I doubt it very much! I eventually paid but they wanted the itemised receipt they gave me after I paid, but I needed it for work, but eventually sorted it (they let me have the last cm of the receipt! . I left the run down front porch area with two doors, couldn't close the first door, it wouldn't shut. Then the owner just slammed it behind me and it shut, which I thought was a bit rude as I was still there in the porch looking at him! I went through the second door onto the street and the door handle came off in my hand along with that long rod bit as well. Then the Indian owner came running out and took it from me. I couldn't stop laughing all the way home. Will I go back? Absolutely not!"

"We haven’t been to a Frankie Bennys for years but called in on a random wet Sunday for lunch. No booking but we’re seated straight away, drinks order taken immediately brought over before we’d even gotten our coats off. We shared the starter for 2 which was really good, probably the highlight of the visit. The mains were quick to follow were really tasty filling. Would have loved a dessert but were too full, will do next time though. The drinks were refreshed during our visit, the staff were polite prompt. Looking forward to coming again! Dietary restrictions: They have an extensive gluten free menu on the back of the normal menu. It’s so nice to not have to ask for one specifically the options choices are plentiful. Would definitely bring our celiac family members here as it would give them the chance to feel included as so many other restaurant chains make them feel uncomfortable for their dietary requirements. "For my daughter’s birthday she chose to have breakfast with family and friends at Frankie and Benny’s and we were really well looked after. There is free parking here and it is adjacent to the restaurant which is on the perimeter of Crown Point North shopping centre. We received a warm welcome and a table for ten was waiting for us. Everywhere was clean and tidy and the atmosphere was good. Ellis was our waiter and he was courteous, polite and friendly for the duration of our visit. I felt that they could have benefitted from more resources at times, as the restaurant got busy at one point and Ellis and his manager seemed under pressure. But the food arrived in decent time and was all delicious. Drinks were sometimes a little slow arriving but we were kept informed. The vegan and vegetarian fry ups were lovely. Ellis kindly brought out a birthday cake for my daughter and allowed us to use ten plates and forks which was appreciated. All in all we spent two hours in the restaurant, we felt looked after and everyone enjoyed their breakfast."

"Took a while for staff to come over and serve us. However once we caught their attention, the waitress was helpful with our order. They have an offer on for starters and a cocktail pitcher. The space is cosy, warm and welcoming and ideal for a catch up with friends. Only table service is allowed and cannot order at the bar due to COVID restrictions. "A large crowd of us went to the Vintry for drinks last night. It was really busy so had a great atmosphere! They had some staff doing drink service outside. We wanted to thank Claudio and Betty for doing such a great job. They worked really hard and we never waited long for our drinks. They were both so friendly and even though they were rushing around they were super happy to help!"

"2nd delivery ordered after a few weeks of trying Miah takeaway. The food that was delivered was tasty as the 1st time was. That said the service was somewhat questionable!! Firstly a food delivery arrived within the said time! Unfortunately it was a meal for 1 when we’d ordered for a family of 4, it wasn’t anything we’d ordered! Then after numerous calls by my wife (mainly just cut off) once answered we got the standard ‘we’ve got a new driver making mistakes’ ‘we are really busy and it will be there soon’. 2hrs after order the correct food arrives ‘we’d been asked to keep the food that originally arrived’ and we sent that back untouched as I’m not disposing of their error, we also had a number of ordered and paid for accompaniments not in the delivery!! So as a few words of advice for a company that provides good tasty food, if you get the service right you could clear up in terms of market share in this area, unfortunately you are falling short at this moment in terms of consistent high service delivery."

"The speed of service was fantastic, food arrived quickly to table. Was a tiny bit disappointed with my soup and thought it lacked a bit of flavour but it’s hit and miss with chicken noodle anywhere you go. "very nice restaurant. love the interiors. beautiful looking place with a bar. and apparently they soon open a Sheesha lounge and look forward to it! had a great experience here. Eat: we started with Indian ingwer and Masala tea, which was really good, and pappadum. for the main course we ordered chicken tikka masala and a fried rice, dhaba chicken and pilaureis and Karahi sprout with plain naan. I must say we were not disappointed by any of the dishes. the food was delicious and portioned enough to fill it completely. price: a little expensive, too little for us students, but I would say it worth it. service: the staff is very polite and beautiful! very happy with the service. definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves or wants to try good Indian food!"
