"Booked online for 6 of us for a birthday meal for my son. Was met by a lady who was chewing gum (not acceptable in a restaurant front of house position) and was not particularly happy (waitress1) She said that there was a wait on food even though we had booked due to people wanting takeaways. We ordered drinks with another lady (waitress 2) who was very pleasant and she bought them to the table. She was followed by waitress 1 with the same drinks who made a point of telling us that waitress 2 had not ticked off that she had served the drinks, (in my opinion this belittling situation was very unnecessary). Even my 17 year old son said it was unfair on waitress 2. We ordered our food with waitress 2. Our food was delivered by waitress 1 and one of the dishes was incorrect. There was no apology and she said she would rectify the error, I waited for a long time for my meal, in fact, some of our group had just about finished their meal before it arrived. The meal was still missing the dressing that I had originally asked for. I was then told that they did not have the dressing that I was originally offered. Waitress 1 came over and asked if all was ok. I explained that we weren’t happy. Waitress 1 offered to take my meal off the bill. We went to the reception area to pay with waitress 3 who was lovely. She presented me with the bill which had my meal removed. Waitress 1 then came over and belittled waitress 3 saying she’d got the wrong bill for us. In fact, she had got the right copy. Waitress 3 appeared to be embarrassed by Waitress 1 behaviour. I paid and we left to have our dessert in a different place. Very disappointing for my sons birthday and we will not be going back. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and my overall opinion was poor customer service which was predominantly 1 member of staff"

"meanwhile through a busy week, I decided to be a little bit cheeky by jumping off the work for a few hours. a quick text to my friend and a finished customer meet later, I was on the way to a lazy lunch. we heard the buzz over the recently reworked white swan at chancery lane. herr flavour and I were once regular and could not wait to see the new version. Unfortunately for him he was gone on the business and let the ladies explore in his absentness. this former irrigation hole was historically a popular hot spot of the fleet street pressebrigade before it turned into a posh pub and dining room. now again opened as pub and cophouse, the natives are already in the waiting line to come. at the entrance were the delicious aromen from the dining room to sue us up. rule number one of the lazy lunches dictates, however, that a frecher g t has to be consumed before eating in a sleepy manner. gin is something that the white **** has in full! our sophisticated bartender led us to a Hendrick ginn, served long and chilled with a gurkenband. this is the point! the new chophouse theme was certainly well received. past are the white tablecloths and wallpapers, replaced by trendy exposed bricks and deep wooden tables. this beautiful room is available for private rental and would be a great place to impress your friends or colleagues. the menu consists of pub favorites, cuts from British finest meat and fresh fish from south coast day boats and British fishing ports. if mr. flavor had been here, he would have made a beeenstock for the 45-day white park sirloin with béarnaise and large chips. we believed a little easier. the salt baked celeriac, blue monday cheese and kale salat with chestnuts was divine and flavored with a beautiful earthy seasonality. my friend ordered iron age ‘Pick and Brunch’, pickles and English senf, which came in the form of a terrine. I could not resist helping me to a greedy unhappiness. the albarinho was certainly a suitable partner for following the fishing nets. fluffy fishcake with fertile tomatenrelish were mouth-watery crunchy and bursting with terribleness. I had never ordered gurnard before and his fleshy texture was beautifully complemented with braided fennel. the big chips were absolutely crushed and let us dessert without room. as much as I enjoy a girly lunch, it is time like this when I miss my pretty man and his inexorable appetit. a quick espresso later I was moved back to the office with an earlyling in my step and a very satisfied little bit. I cannot expect to introduce my customers into this wonderful new venue, which is available for 7 days in the week."

"Vegetarian Options (Vegan upon request) WHAT WE HAD (3 Pax): 5 A Day £4.75] – Mint, Blackberries, Blueberries, Raspberries, Greek Yoghurt and Apple Juice; Radiant Roots £5.95] – Apple, Carrot, Ginger, Celery and Fennel; Golden Mango £4.50] – Mango, Tumeric, Yoghurt and Almond Milk; Full Veggie (Specially Made Vegan) £8.95] – Beans, Spinach, Mushrooms, Avocado, Grilled Tomato and Toast; Buttermilk Chicken and Waffle £8.95] – Avocado, Sour Cream, Jalapenos and Chilli Maple Syrup I came here for breakfast with my friends as they wanted to try the Buttermilk Chicken and Waffle. I did know that they have vegetarian options from the menu we saw the day before, but wasn’t sure if they had anything vegan. It turns out that they did not have any specifically vegan items on the menu. However, the waitress and kitchen was very accommodating and made modifications to the full veggie breakfast for me. It was your typical full breakfast made vegan that was simple and cooked well with fresh produce. I really appreciate how helpful and accommodating the staff were, especially in answering my questions in assuring me it was vegan. Really made me feel at ease. My friends enjoyed their Buttermilk Chicken and Waffle too which was a good portion too. We all loved the juice and smoothies we ordered as well! We also had a look at their cocktail menu which intrigued us. Excellent customer service, good vibes with the bright and fun décor that is still classy, good food at reasonable prices, I do see myself coming back here for dinner/to try their cocktails if I find myself in Edinburgh again."
