"We visited this restaurant last year and had a great experience, so we decided to come back today with our daughter, son-in-law, and black lab. We wanted to sit together as we had met up in Hornsea for the day, but unfortunately, they were busy and didn't have any tables available for four people. Just as we were about to leave, a friendly young man and woman came out and decided to put two tables together so that all four of us could eat together. This was a thoughtful gesture, especially since we don't get to see each other often due to living 60 miles apart and the lockdowns. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed our meals. The service provided by the young waiter was excellent, as he went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant dining experience. All the other diners leaving the restaurant appeared to be happy as well. We would definitely recommend this place. Thank you so much for a wonderful time."

"Incredible quality of food in a classic Cotswold village, there is actually a lot of seating but they have several separate areas so it feels cozy and they do not squeeze you in. The decor is phenomenal as was the service. We had the pigeon breast and potted shrimp appetizers, then we went for the risotto and the Gloucester old-spot bangers and mash. Serving sizes are generous so careful if you intend to hit the pudding list. All in all a great inn, unfortunately it's pretty gentrified clientele reflect the changing demographics of a part of the country I used to love, but now loved by those with Maseratis and Porsches too."

"Very nice specialty coffee with some impressive latte art. Had a problem where I went to the other location which was vegan and decided I just wanted a regular coffee.. however there was no mention of their other branch so I was suprised to stumble across the second location. Easy to get the two mixed up. Service in the non vegan branch was okay, nothing to complain about nor compliment and the atmosphere was quiet but relaxed but felt quite empty."

"I've walked past Nomad so often, thought I should give it a go. Unfortunately, I won't be back and I regret not asking for a refund. I took the last available table. The table was clean but there was a slice of tomato by my feet. The music was very loud and uncomfortably pounding more suited to a nightclub or bar than a coffee shop. It would be hard to have a conversation without raising your voice. I wonder if it was to cover up the building works outside. Perhaps closing the door and finding an alternative way to ventilate the shop might be a better short term solution than the disco vibe? I ordered porridge. There were only knives and forks on the table, so I had to get up to ask for a spoon. I also had chai tea which I would advise avoiding here at all costs. It came in a cafetiere. I've had chai in several cafes but it's never come in a cafetiere and there's a good reason why. As I downed the plunger, it splatted everywhere on myself and the stranger at the table next to mine. (Poor guy though he made the mistake of ordering chai too. His chaiplosion was less dramatic than mine, but still required mop up). My t shirt was stained and my book got showered by the hot drink too. My table neighbour asked for some paper towels and the barista kindly cleaned up. She said it's happened before, which begs the question of why they're still using cafetieres for tea? The flavour of the remaining chai was okay not the best, not the worst. However, the cafetiere meant I couldn't get all the chai into my cup without getting the leaves too. I had to leave half a cupsworth of tea stuck in the cafetiere, which made it feel getting even less value for money."

"This pub is exceptionally welcoming and congenial, permitting us to park our camper in their car park. There's a delightful dog walk just across the road. Their evening selection of beer and cider is spot on, and the food is simply splendid. We tried both the pie and curry, and each was faultless and delectable. It's also a fantastic place for dogs. Both the staff and the locals are welcoming, making everyone feel thoroughly at home."

"We had missed lunchtime (due to having a large breaakfast but grabbed a pasty each here and a few saffron buns (well, you just have to when in Cornwall, don't you???!! : These were good and flavoursome good meat content and perfectly cooked veggies in a good crust. The saffron buns were good too!!"

"I have been meaning to visit Holy Cannoli for weeks and today was the day and it did not disappoint. We were lucky to get a seat as it filled up fast even on a Wednesday lunchtime but we sat on the lovely banquette seating in the window with a view of the open kitchen. I loved the place right from the start with a lovely warm welcome off owner Rachel with her dad cooking in the kitchen, so this a proper family run concern. The whole menu sounded fabulous but I chose the roasted vine tomatoes with cannellini pate and hubby the breakfast stack with two teas and a sparkling water. There was a short wait as food is cooked to order, but we were happy to wait and when it arrived, the plates were colourful and inviting, so we tucked in. We could not fault either dish, they were scrumptious and we left clean plates. The cakes were too tempting to miss, so I ordered a black forest tiffin and hubby had a choice of lemon or pistachio cannoli so he chose lemon. The cannoli are made on site and filled to order and as the photos show the cakes were as fantastic as the mains. We had two espresso coffees with our cakes and it was top notch too. This is a gem of a place and is a must visit for everyone, it showcases just how amazing vegan food is and I cannot wait to go back. Updated from previous review on 2021-09-22"

"Went here for lunch yesterday(Wednesday). I had the most gorgeous fishfinger sandwich on toasted ciabatta and my husband and son had burgers. All the food was lovely! The big fat chips are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! Excellent service as always. Highly highly recommend this wonderful place!"
"Booked for a family 60th Birthday. The birthday girl was in an electric wheelchair. The staff did everything possible to make it a memorable day. We had afternoon tea and the food was fresh and delicious. There was so much food we were given boxes to take the extra home with us. I would definitely go here again. The atmosphere was great."

"I arrived today at 2 o'clock (18/09/21) there were 2 younger young people who work there and I just want to say that the customer service was amazing. they are a credit for loading, I had to wait 5 minutes until a pasty are cooked, I was offered a drink while I waited, as it took 7/8 minutes instead of the 5 they first said that was not a mistake from their own, they had to make sure that it was completely boiled, before serving, really good customer service, it was nice to see, not like most of the shops in the last time, I have never left the"

"The staff at this restaurant is very friendly and helpful. The food is of excellent quality and is presented in a beautiful takeaway box, not just any old cardboard. I ordered the hot chicken slices salad, Greek style, from the top of the menu for takeaway and enjoyed it in a nearby park. The bread was crispy, with just the right amount of oil and vinegar, and better quality oil than usual. I would have preferred a bit more cucumber and olives, rather than just leaves, but there was a generous amount of flavorful chicken and some seeds that added a nice touch. The interior of the café was a bit warm on a hot day."

"This coffee shop is the best in the north of England. The staff is incredibly friendly and full of humor, so whether you're stopping by for a sandwich, a quick espresso, or a few pints, I can guarantee you'll have a great time, my friend!"

"Absolutely first rate customer service will be my overriding memory of this Caffe Nero, the team were wonderful; a well as being very efficient and professional they were also friendly and really welcomed the custom that you were providing to the store. Come also for what I consider the finest coffee on the High Street throughout the UK, still independently own and this shows. The space was spotlessly clean and well presented, a truly pleasant place to spend some 'down time ' Highly recommend that you visit this Nero!!!!!"

"I don’t usually eat ice-cream unless I’m in Italy, but goodness me this was like a taste of Italy in Edinburgh! Let me tell you, this is the place to eat authentic homemade Italian ice cream in Scotland. There is no comparison After graduating from The Carpigiani Gelato University in Bologna, Fabio Martone introduced homemade ice-cream to the Ciao Roma Restaurants in 2010 as he felt that there was a gap in the market for authentic Italian gelato in Scotland. Since then, Fabio has received the Champion Ice Cream at the Royal Highland Show award for the last three years running and to maintain the uniqueness of the flavour, he is the only person who produces the heavenly creations for...read more"

"My girlfriend and I revisited Cafe Zee on our first anniversary, as it was the venue for our first date. In my last review, I said I planned to try their food on my next visit and that’s what I did. As I suspected, the...food is good. I had the chicken pesto focaccia with big hearty slices of tomato inside. The bread was slightly charred from spending a few seconds too long under the grill, however the taste wasn’t affected. To follow I had a slice of tasty blueberry loaf with a thick layer of sweet, purple icing on top, and washed this all down with a smooth latte all very enjoyable. My girlfriend similarly enjoyed her ham and cheese panini and fresh orange juice, and we spent a lovely afternoon eating, drinking and reminiscing."

"Loved my first visit here to relax with a hot drink after a busy afternoon. Very much a specialist coffee and tea shop. I asked for a mint tea, but they only had a mint and fennel infusion, which was delicious. The upstairs space is...tiny with just two tables to sit at and a few bar stools at counters round the wall. Downstairs is slightly bigger. The staff were great, very friendly and efficient. The location is convenient, near the Strand end of Fleet Street, next to the entrance to the historic Middle Temple inn of court and opposite the Royal Courts of Justice."

"We were on the lookout for a good breakfast spread that wasn't too expensive and would keep us going till the afternoon. After going through a number of restaurants on Zomato, we ended up at Papii Cafe and I am SO glad we did. You know they say, when the breakfast is British you make it your favourite meal. We had a wholesome meal that included eggs, toasts, salami, sausages and baked beans. I got my breakfast meal customised to chicken and they agreed with a smile on their face. Two breakfast meals costed us £6.5 each and it was worth it. The ambience is very welcoming, the staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable, the place was relatively packed and since it's not too big, getting a table can be a task. One of the sweetest things about our trip to Edinburgh was definitely when our server handed us one of their speciality brownies as a gift. Cheers to restaurants like these that make you feel so welcomed and a staff that is always smiling :"

"We're travelling through Derbyshire in our motorhome and found this little gem on Happy Cow. Off we went and we weren't disappointed. The food is great! The salads are so fresh and full of very many flavours. Portions are HUGE! I had the beetroot sandwich with falafel and my partner, Neal, had the pizza without vegan cheese (Marinara style). The base of the pizza was a bit too thick for him but he's part Italian so expects wafer thin bases wherever we go! He praised the tomato sauce on the pizza though and thought it was very tasty and quite amazing. I also had a chocolate croissant to take out and eat later as I was so full. The staff are lovely and the cafe itself is bright and cheerful and delightful. Recommended!"

"After spending all day on our feet, we were hungry! We had been searching for some time for a place to eat and we came across Charlie's. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The prices (given the portion sizes) were very reasonable as well. £7.50 gets you a generous helping of fine quality Norfolk Ham, 2 free range fried eggs a lavish portion of thick chunky chips and colourful salad! It was all Delicious! We had a lovely late lunch sat outside in the sun (one of the staff kindly opened the parasol) with our bellys suitable restocked. Thank you for a wonderful meal."

"I met my friend here on a Sunday morning a couple of months ago and we had a lovely time, when we were served by a lovely polite Italian (I think) man who couldn't do enough for us. So, repeating our visit on another Sunday morning (week before last), I was shocked to be greeted by an extremely surly individual (having expected the same happy and polite customer service as last time). The guy who served us on this 2nd occasion was rude, did not smile and made it plain that he really couldn't be bothered with us. The only reason we didn't get up and walk out was that the weather wasn't great and my dog needed a rest! And we had ordered bacon baps that we had to wait for... I wouldn't normally have commented on this (life is too short lol) but after the great customer service on the 1st occasion, this visit was very annoying and we both agreed we would be reluctant to go back. Hence the title of this review Such A Shame! PS: They give free sausages to dogs if you ask, so that's a major PLUS a delighful place if you don't get grumpy service."
