"we have ordered from China garden at many locations, especially this year during the lockdown. eating is delicious and they have a great vegan/veggie menu. after a long day today we decided to place an order at 16:30 a.m. for delivery at 5:45 a.m. (preordered). at 18:15. when he had not come, we decided to call and see where he was. we ordered by just eat, but called china garden as necessary (as we always have when ordering from here) and we were told that the address was not correct and the driver tried to call 3 times, but the number was also wrong or we had not signal or missed the call, so it is not their problem. when we asked where the food was, they then said that the driver had it, he was in dead (10 minutes from us), so that he could discard it when we provided the right details. we told them all the same details in our just Eat account as it was always and that eating now is at least 45 minutes old, so will be stone cold. the woman on the phone in the china garden became aggressiv and said that our cache, not her and the shipper call and give correct details. After we tried again to explain, we ordered with the same account as usual, the same number, same address and with full phone signal, but no missed calls and that our food would be cold now, she continued screaming the phone and saying his fault not china garden or the delivery ruber. we decided to go to china garden to complain, but she has shouted us further, we say there are no refunds, it is our fault and chatting to just eat as they don't care. during all this she did not wear ppe, which is unacceptable. we are absolutely shocked that a company would talk to loyal customers (or anyone for this occasion). we went out and contacted just eat, but they will not refund us, as china garden has delivered the order as well as completely marked. avoid at all costs."

"I went with my friends and the chips with viniger were AMAZING. The hygene was ok. And the full meal costs a bit too much £17- £24 but its worth it because the food is delightful. It just around the block. If you want to go at night DO NOT go through Sankey Vally because it is absolutely soking wet up to your ankles so be careful. Overall this Chip shop was great definitely going there again. 5 STAR Service: Take out"

"Why should you eat here? Warmest welcome you can imagine? Great beers? quirky oddments of cutlery, glasses and crockery, naturally assembled over the years? A Colne institution? Lovely clientale? Yeah, sure all of those things, and a million others. But above all, enhanced by all, the absolute best, delicious, amazing food you could possibly want. Thanks guys, first meal out after lockdown, and you were amazing."

"I have been a regular at Red Chilli in Leeds for many years, occasionally visiting the locations in Manchester and York. The quality of the food has been inconsistent over the years, ranging from good to outstanding. It is a traditional Chinese restaurant where the staff can be brusque and overworked, and the decor is not the best. However, the focus here is on the delicious food served. This is a no-frills establishment that prioritizes the taste of the dishes over everything else. Many negative reviews seem to come from those expecting typical Chinese food with excellent service. I suggest trying the unique dishes offered here, as they are what make Red Chilli stand out as a great restaurant with historically good food at a reasonable price. Be adventurous and appreciate the authenticity of the cuisine."

"before ordering the waiting time for a pocket asked by chips. Sunday evening does not mean a chip shop open and since the sohn wanted a few nice chips from a takeaway as a birthday contract. I had to commit myself! I was told 10 minutes. was, like, great. 10 minutes went by, and another 10, and others. (It's now half an hour later) asked how long the waiting period is. they said 5 minutes, will not last long. 10 minutes. I asked again, will not take long. a total of 75 minutes before I got the chips. I didn't want to. I could have gone to tesco, bring a frit and oil, turn it on, turn it off again, go for a shower, my legs shave, my haare haare harassing, come back to the frit, turned on, then put some chips in and have been faster home. the things they do for their child. pity that he slept when I came home. it would be very preferable to let him wait an hour and had the opportunity to go elsewhere. I mean, there's an Indian around the corner (sagor,) that would have been fast. hindsight is a good thing, never again. not even to taste the Chinese food."

"We often used to get a takeaway from here but I would really resent getting another one. The food is great, no complaints at all, but the customer service can be appalling. ordered our meal at 7pm and was told it wouldn 't be ready until 8pm. So I arrived just after 8pm, to be told it would be another 15 mins. They took my money at this point so I couldn 't escape. The place was full of other customers who were also waiting for their food, only half of whom were wearing masks (despite the 'no mask no entry ' sign, no one asked them to wear a mask or go outside). So, anyway we went and waited outside, (it was cold). After 15 mins I went back in to ask if it was ready...another 10 mins. Eventually I asked if they would bring the food out to us, which they did at 8.40pm 40 mins after they said it would be ready, 1 hour and 40 mins after I ordered. We got a half hearted sorry its late , when personally I thought, at the very least, they should have given us a bag of prawn crackers as way of apology... in fact we didn 't get the fortune cookies they usually include. By the time we got our food, we were incredibly hungry, it was way past the kid 's bedtime and it just kinda ruined the whole thing. Would definitely think twice before ordering from them again."

"Staying on a campsite wanted a Chinese. Read reviews which were very mixed but decided to give them a go. All I can say is that the service was excellent from ordering to delivery. The guy who answered the phone and the one who dropped the food off were very friendly. We ordered a chicken curry and a chicken sweet and sour cantonese and I can honestly say they were both really tasty. Would definitely recommend."

"we ordered a delivery and take away from oriental aroma when we were in royal wootton bassett this early year. they have an extensive vegan menu, and eating was generous and delicious. some reviews say it is on the fat side: it is true for the vegan sharing plate, especially because it serves a selection of fried foods in very generous amounts, but since there was much more eating that we expected we saved some for the next day when we ordered a second time standing alone for a takeaway, they were all delicious, like the sweet and sour sauce. there were small gifts as well as lucky cookies. I really recommend it for a contract in bassett and the personal is nice."

"During our holiday, we ordered two takeout meals from this restaurant and both were absolutely delicious. The portions were generous. My personal favorite is the chicken skewers in satay sauce priced at £7.20, which is listed as an appetizer but is actually large enough to share between two people. We ordered it again as our main dish and enjoyed it just as much. The staff on the phone seemed worried about our vacation spot in Brambles Chine, but the delivery driver was able to locate us easily."

"We rarely buy chip shop chips, but remembered that this place was good last time we visited. The chips we bought were terrible, and looked as if they had been reheated from the previous day they were scrappy, limp and over cooked. On the plus side the potions were large, but unfortunately we do not want to eat them. They will be going out for the birds tomorrow morning."

"This restaurant is my top choice for delivery service. I usually order dinner from here, and the price per person ranges from £10 to £20. The food is consistently excellent, earning a perfect score of 5. The service and atmosphere also receive top marks of 5. I highly recommend trying the Crispy Chilli Chicken, Sweet Sour Chicken Balls, Stir Fried Mushroom, Crispy Chilli Beef, Beef and Broccoli in Oyster Sauce, Chicken Sweetcorn Soup or Prawn Toast, Crispy Chilli Chicken and Chips, and Szechuan Beef."
"Ordered starter for 2, chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce, beef in green pepper with black bean sauce and 2 egg fried rice. Delivery was quick and the starter was good except for the very watery sweet and sour sauce (more like a vinegar than a sauce) Then the main. Chicken balls were absolutely massive, reason for this is the masses of batter and not sure where from a chicken the mush inside it was from but had one and it tasted like a chicken donut with the same consistency. Sweet and sour sauce was same as starter and more runny than a child’s nose with a cold The beef in black bean sauce was very fatty and poor meat. The black bean sauce was more like gravy than black bean. The rice was worryingly tough as if it hadn’t been cooked enough. So paid £18 for a starter only as something I could eat. If given this in a restaurant I would have walked out or wanted my money back but as it’s a takeaway you take your chances If could take it back I would."

"Beef satay n fried rice b b cue ribs, chicken in a black bean sauce with fried rice and a king prawn chow mein was our order. We picked because not far away, she said it would be ready in 10 mins which it was got it home it was still very hot because well wrapped, cartons were full to brim, plenty of meat in the 2 dishes and plenty of ribs and plenty of prawns in the King prawn dish. Have used Saigons many times and it never fails to deliver tasty dishes with generous proportions. So it's 5 from me without hesitation."

"Best Chinese food in the area by far! They were closed for months earlier in the year so we tried many other Chinese takeaways nearby, including Leyburn (horrific!! , Ripon and Romanby that didn't even come close! So glad they're open again. We always get Singapore chow mein, crispy king do chicken and chips, gravy and fried rice together. Make sure you order as soon as they open or you'll be waiting hours! Service: Take out"

"Myself and family in a group of 20 were up at Amble on Sunday scattering my Mams ashes and reliving some memories of many holidays and time spent here. We planned on finishing the afternoon with fish and chips from here but unfortunately we were refused use of the toilet facilities for two small children under 3 before being seated (presumably in case we simply used the toilets then left? Bearing in mind the place was absolutely empty I simply cannot understand the mentality of the owner. Needless to say they lost a sale of easily over £200 but after reading other reviews I don’t suppose the owner will be remotely bothered, sad memory to end a nice day. "The restaurant offers delicious food with generous portions and friendly service at a reasonable price. Parking is available right outside the door. The takeout service is efficient and suitable for dinner. The average price per person ranges from £10 to £20. The food and service both received a rating of 4 out of 5, while the atmosphere was rated a 3. Recommended dishes include Roast Pork in Satay Sauce, Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls, and Stir-Fried Roast Pork in Peking Style. There is plenty of free street parking available."
"I've been there twice now, and both times the food was absolutely fantastic. As a contractor who travels across the UK, I eat at a lot of takeaways, and this place ranks among my top five Chinese takeaways in the country. The flavors are spot on, and the food is really fresh—none of it is overly greasy. So far, I've tried the salt and pepper ribs, shredded crispy chili chicken, fried rice, Singapore chow mein, and salt and pepper chicken, and all of them have been excellent. Service-wise, I only ordered takeout."

"I have frequent this restaurant every other week since the new management took over. Everything about this restaurant is exceptional! The staff are super friendly and attentive to my requests, shop is clean and smelled good (fragrant Asian cooking) and most importantly, the fish and chips are to die for (the fish and chips are cooked to perfection with satisfying crunch balanced with the perfect taste, i can eat this all day long). The menu selections are extensive and covers a variety of authentic Asian dishes (in case you want to get something other than fish and chips). Another aspect which I loved about this stall is the quantity on top of its quality, you will definitely get more than what you paid for, superb affordability. I have recommended this place to several friends within my close circle and they are generally amazed with the food and service provided. I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food (quantity and quality) and service are absolutely amazing. I would definitely give this place 10 stars if the system allows me. Highly recommended!!"

"I ordered Cantonese chicken, expecting the battered chicken with vegetables, but instead received just chicken in a sauce with vegetables. The man who took my order didn't seem interested in answering my questions, which led to my choice not matching what I wanted. The chicken itself was tough and chewy, and the egg fried rice had a burnt flavor. I definitely won’t be returning."

"I have been getting takeout from this restaurant for over thirty years, but last night was a letdown. The satay duck dish had more onions than anything else, the salt and pepper chips were soggy and tasted like they had been soaked in water for too long, and the special chow mein had a strange taste as if it had been cooked with cleaning product. This was a surprising experience from a restaurant that I have always spoken highly of to my loved ones. It was not what I am used to and I was completely disappointed."
