"I could not recommend this bistro enough, amazing experience all round. The food was faultless, we got 4 dishes that were brought out in stages by our lovely waitress, Keira (special shout-out to you, you were a star! . The food, atmosphere, and service was second to none. We highly recommend going at lunch time as it was quieter and we got a longer slot to enjoy our food and drink. Thanks again 1220, we’ll be back! "I visited the Easter Road branch recently with a friend. Scones were nice though I'm not happy with the baking being out on open display exposed to all the customers browsing or placing their orders. A see-through screen is needed for hygiene reasons (like Red Kite has round the corner e.g. . Our first coffee order of 2/3 long blacks was just what we wanted. A different server did our second order, and brought full cups and not the shorter coffees we had ordered. When we told her this she simply took them away and poured away 1/3, entirely missing the point that what we ordered was shorter stronger coffees! When you pay a lot for coffee out I think it's reasonable to expect to get what you order. This means that those making the coffees should have at least a basic barista training."

"cycle there so often and did not know! once I found that she went veggie to check her for brunch and it was delicious! we had Frittata(nice fat disc served with hummus and spinat), zimt bagel, pfannkuchen and the cinnamon roll and oh yes! it was good! together with two coffees we paid just £30, which is reasonable price for london. I am totally in love with the salmon and came back for him only two weeks later and then tried the spicy rice burrito. it was good, but N’1 for me is zalmon:! p also just now I found out that the zimt itself is £4! I think I'm going to ride with the bike often edit 12/11 further come for he zalmon as much as I can! updated by the previous rating on 2021-11-12"

"I was planning to hike Arthur's Seat, so I wanted to keep my lunch light. I ordered the vegan haggis along with a toastie. I really enjoyed the different aromas of the vegan haggis. The sandwich was a good size and quite filling. I liked the haggis as well. My partner opted for the "Hungry Rabbit," which included mushrooms, paprika, and feta. I had a bite of it and found it delicious too. I would have loved to try more dishes, but I was still full from breakfast and didn't want to overeat before my hike. The food is only available for takeaway, so we found a spot in a nearby park to enjoy our meal. The location is very convenient, and I would definitely recommend it. The staff were friendly too. They also sell a variety of vegan treats, and I couldn't resist picking up some chocolate. Everything I've tried from the Gnaw brand is fantastic. This is an updated review from my previous one on September 22, 2022."

"Hampton Vouis coffee house is an oasis of calm, in the hustle bustle of the city centre, when you all you want to do is chill out and relax. I love they source products within the North West and as near to Manchester as possible, supporting local companies, including Trove Bakery, Soul Vegan Bakery and Brew Tea Company. The menu has plenty vegan options, including breakfast, bowls, sandwiches, cakes, bronuts, brownies and vegan ice cream. We ordered two pots of decaf tea, with a date and pistachio bronut for me (a refined sugar, soya free cross between a doughnut and a brownie) and for hubby a raspberry and chocolate brownie, with both cakes being gluten free. The cakes were amazing, the bronut was flavoured with a good punch of cinnamon and I loved the gold decoration and the brownie was gooey and as it should be was very chocolatey. I kicked myself for not visiting Hampton Vouis sooner, I loved the place, the guys in charge were really friendly and explained their ethos of offering nutritious food, with as little processed as possible. Highly recommended."

"I was in Edinburgh one Saturday morning, feeling hungry and looking for something to eat. I stumbled upon The Bearded Baker, a charming and cozy café slightly off the beaten path in Edinburgh. The café offers a great selection of bagels with various fillings, as well as tempting cakes and doughnuts on display. I ended up taking home more treats than I had planned due to their irresistible offerings. I ordered a Rubens Bagel with a coffee and couldn't resist treating myself to a huge custard and walnut doughnut. The prices were reasonable and the food was freshly prepared in no time. The Bearded Baker has definitely become my favorite brunch spot in Edinburgh."

"We visited the bakery and brunch cafe and were extremely impressed with both. From the bakery, we purchased some amazing pastries including an orange and passionfruit Danish and a white chocolate caramel popcorn cruffin. They were baked perfectly and had an incredible taste. At the cafe, we ordered bacon and egg on toast, avocado and eggs, oat milk Chai latte, and Americano, all of which were cooked perfectly and delicious. We enjoyed chatting with Dan about the food options, upcoming menus, and the introduction of IPAs, Lager, and sours he is passionate about. It was a delightful morning treat and we highly recommend it. We can't wait to go back."

"I'm concerned that this restaurant is operated by an organization known as the Twelve Tribes, which has been linked to troubling beliefs and practices. There are serious allegations against them, including support for mass genocide, antisemitism, racism, and homophobia, as well as reports of child abuse. It's been documented that they may exploit child labor, with disturbing footage available online showing harsh treatment of children, some as young as three years old, if they make mistakes while working. I urge everyone to research this issue before choosing to support their establishment. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"The dining experience was lovely, with attentive staff. When I couldn't decide on a dish, I asked the waiter for his recommendation. He suggested the ribs without hesitation, as they were his favorite. He was right - they were truly delicious. The only downside was that they ran out of bread, but overall, it was better than the other places I have tried."

"Such beautifully presented food, all absolutely divine! Everything is vegan so no searching through the menu we shall definitely be returning here again soon! Family run cafe, friendly service, with lots of options to eat in or to take away. The rocky road was so good, I'd go back just for one of those! Beautifully prepared platter salad was lovely fresh. M*lkshakes, hot chocolates, cakes, scones, sausage rolls with a delicious twist, croissants with sweet fillings... Very happy children here It can understandably get busy, so worth booking if you don't want to miss out on a table! There's also outdoor seating if weather permits."

"Grumpy barista sarcastically complaining to herself and waiving arms because she couldn't find a spoon. Also throwing emty cartons across the work area into the bin on the far side. She didn't seem to be happy preparing the orders. Cafe empty but every available...table had rubbish stacked up. We had to clear our own table before we could sit down. After of being in the cafe the tables did start to get cleared but we seen no wiping down/disinfection of any tables or chairs. Tables were crummy and the chairs had dried milk stuck to them. Fridges where empty, seen people walk in and walk out it was to be honest I told the server I was eating in but I wanted a take away cup. I wasn't given a tray to carry everything to the table and didn't have a choice but to put our food on the dirty table. Maybe I'll stick with the Starbucks next door in future."

"I booked a table today for a mid way meeting point for a family birthday and we were not disappointed both breakfasts and toasties were well presented delicious. We then went on to have cakes there was a good range, something for everyone, i had carrot cake which was a big slice with 3 layers of cake icing !! I bought a banoffee cinnamon bun home for a family member who couldn’t make it, warmed up as directed which is the best we’ve had in a long time. Staff were clearly busy yet attended the tables every need. We will definitely be back soon."

"I have passed the bakery several times, but in the regular too late on the day to make the best of a visit today, I have the opportunity to visit with a friend and all my expectations of the coffee shop were met and actually went well over what I expected we were greeted by a super happy and super friendly trio that set us and our order almost immediately taken. my friend and I shared a single part of the zimtbrot that was incredibly delicious and warmed to make the eating experience even more pleasant, the coffee is strong and is made to perfection. I had two tassen and both met each time when we had a conspiracy, so paid in advance to lead our names on a curry tube and a quiche chorus. we have learned that this was actually done in the dome and not in the bakery. the quality was not missing! both were very delicious we were back after our break and decided to eat again. there was a rush to midday, with most people eating out. there are only 3 tables to sit, so I would come back to avoid that the living periods I am happy, the small team that leads this place again and for those of them, they are pulled by the wonderful smell of fresh baking."

"Ordered 2 coffees and 2 scrambled eggs on sourdough. Coffee came, good quality however the eggs took 30 minutes to arrive, understood ifit was busy 5 tables) but it wasn't. When I asked if our food was coming I got a snubby reply that it was nearly ready. UE and the Edge far better although coffee cake normally fine here."

"Visited with a friend who had been previously. Always been a place I wanted to stop as let’s be honest, every eatery in this general area is spot on and being a creature of habit if I was alone I probably would have stopped at...Moorish next door. All that said, this juice bar, in conjunction with Ron’s Kitchen is a wonderful, delicious, affordable lunch stop. Being able to get a solid, tasty, filling meal for a fiver is a huge selling point. I tasted the vegan curry as well as the nachos with chili con carne. Now, as an American I have to wonder if whoever made the chili con carne (Ron perhaps was also American because it was easily the most USA tasting version of chili con carne I’ve had since being in the UK that didn’t come out of my own kitchen. Very good. The place is quite small, only enough room for a couple people inside at a time, but has a bit of al fresco seating which even with the chilly weather, was comfortable enough. Friendly, prompt service inside. Was a nice visit and I would easily stop by again in the future."

"We stopped for coffee at Le Pain Quotidien before catching Eurostar. There were 4 or 5 tables outside the restaurant but the staff appeared to only clean the two nearest the entrance to the eatery and empty take away cups etc soon built up on the table next to us. An elderly American gentleman sat down at the table after going in an ordering a coffee and a pastry. The waiter came out, cleaned one of the tables near the door and ignored the rubbish covered table the elderly man sat at. I didn’t like the idea of him sitting there eating his food at a table covered in rubbish (same as I would feel if he were my Dad so I went in and politely asked a member of staff if someone could clear the table for him when they had a minute. A man came over and asked what the problem was and I explained again. He then said that he and his staff concentrated on the people who bought sit down meals and didn’t bother with people who bought take away. He said they shouldn’t sit at the tables anyway. This is despite the fact that the gentleman had bought his food from Le Pain Quotidien. The member of staff, (Manager? then just walked away. Finally, when challenged by the old man's son, who had joined him at the table, another staff member that was yet again cleaning the table next to the dirty one cleared the table for them. I read that the company has gone into administration and that the St Pancras branch was the only one left. Well, if this is their idea so customer service I am not surprised by the news at all."
