Soft, fluffy pastry spiraled with cinnamon sugar, topped with sweet cream cheese frosting.

"Popped by recently on a Sunday morning while on a weekend break to Edinburgh! I liked being able to see the pastries in the window, in order to decide what you want before going into the tiny store! The staff were really warm and welcoming, and advised on the products they enjoy. I picked up the Hazelnut Pain au Chocolat and a Pain Suisse. Both pastries looked stunning. I decided to save the Pain Suisse for a later day, but ate the Pain au Chocolat shortly after purchasing. This was really tasty! The pastry itself had a nice amount of crunch and squish, though I would have liked a little more crunch. The hazelnut frangipane through the centre was super flavourful and there was just the right amount! The chocolate through the middle was of a good quality but slightly overpowered the hazelnut when consuming both simultaneously. Regardless, this was a very good pastry and I would purchase it again! I'd recommend twelve triangles based on this bake. However, I must note that my friend got the pistachio blackcurrant croissant, and could not taste any pistachio! Update I heated the Cross Laminated Pain Suisse from frozen this was absolutely incredible! The filling was a perfect balance of vanilla creme and chocolate chips (which cut the sweeteness perfectly). Even though I had frozen the product, it was still super buttery and I got a good crisp all the way around. One of the best pain suisse I have ever had highly recommend!"

"beautiful enough coffee and snack place in the old town of amersham, you can see what the concept behind itself at least in the answer to the green Grocer shops that seem more to end. some of their items seem to be bought shop, I am sure that they are not) but the pasty for example was not good, and some of the cakes look for home made, but others are not resistant. coffee is decent, but it is the type of place that london costs £3 and upwards pro coffee,) even if they ask for a sprayer of milk in an americano, it is ie no good willing gesture as she would get in london now if only a tiny squirting of not milk milk. pity."

"We love black rabbit! The venue is small so we've only ever taken away but every time we're through Edinburgh way we try make sure to catch their opening times for coffees and cakes. A big selection of cakes and pastries available. Must admit our favourite were the cruffins which are no longer available but still some excellent choices. We've tried a couple of the sandwich options, usually whatever the special is at the time and have enjoyed pretty much everything we have tried from there. The staff are lovely and friendly and I believe you get a small discount for taking your own cups for coffee and boxes for cake. Definitely check it out if you're nearby!"

"In London overnight and wanted a light breakfast, so looked for the closest vegan cafe. This place was close to my hostel in Bethnal Green and had a variety of options to choose from. The ones i was deciding between were sausage muffin, cheese toastie, salmon bagel with cream cheese, and pancakes. (It also had heavier options for lunch. I had the bagel, and it was just right i.e., not too heavy, meaning I could search for somewhere else at lunchtime and not be too full!!! Good value too for what you get, and it being in London large latte only £3.60 and the bagel was £7.20 sit in."

"I was in Edinburgh one Saturday morning, feeling hungry and looking for something to eat. I stumbled upon The Bearded Baker, a charming and cozy café slightly off the beaten path in Edinburgh. The café offers a great selection of bagels with various fillings, as well as tempting cakes and doughnuts on display. I ended up taking home more treats than I had planned due to their irresistible offerings. I ordered a Rubens Bagel with a coffee and couldn't resist treating myself to a huge custard and walnut doughnut. The prices were reasonable and the food was freshly prepared in no time. The Bearded Baker has definitely become my favorite brunch spot in Edinburgh."

"Hampton Vouis coffee house is an oasis of calm, in the hustle bustle of the city centre, when you all you want to do is chill out and relax. I love they source products within the North West and as near to Manchester as possible, supporting local companies, including Trove Bakery, Soul Vegan Bakery and Brew Tea Company. The menu has plenty vegan options, including breakfast, bowls, sandwiches, cakes, bronuts, brownies and vegan ice cream. We ordered two pots of decaf tea, with a date and pistachio bronut for me (a refined sugar, soya free cross between a doughnut and a brownie) and for hubby a raspberry and chocolate brownie, with both cakes being gluten free. The cakes were amazing, the bronut was flavoured with a good punch of cinnamon and I loved the gold decoration and the brownie was gooey and as it should be was very chocolatey. I kicked myself for not visiting Hampton Vouis sooner, I loved the place, the guys in charge were really friendly and explained their ethos of offering nutritious food, with as little processed as possible. Highly recommended."

"The coffee is excellent and reasonably priced, plus it’s refillable for black coffee (though I'm not sure about other types). The food is delicious, and the cheese toasties are particularly noteworthy. The interior design adds to the charm; it's undoubtedly the most beautiful café/deli I've ever visited. I've heard that the staff spent years hand-renovating the space, and it truly shows. On sunny days, sitting upstairs at the back offers stunning views of the Blackdown Hills. On rainy days or in the evening, you can enjoy the cozy booths and dark wood decor downstairs. There are plenty of plug sockets if you plan to use your laptop. Overall, this is easily the best coffee spot in Honiton, and it's completely unique."

"A true gem: the best café in Warwick! The location with both inside and outside seating beside the market square is definitely in favour of the café. There is always a high quality selection of savoury, sweet and drinks. The coffee is well made, the smoothies are refreshing, the savoury options are delicious and the pastries are incredible. You must try the kouign-amann, for it is the best pastry found in Warwick and one of the best pastries I have ever eaten! It will definitely not disappoint."

"Small but comfy, busy but efficient, and a little bit dark. More suitable for a quick coffee break/grub than a full on dining. I didn't order any food so I can't speak to its quality. The staff was nice, friendly, and attentive, as well as quick at servicing customers. Which is perfect considering that it's located on a relatively busy intersection. The place is not really big enough for more than 1-2 strollers. The place does have a high chair but I am not sure if they have more than one (was perfect for me though). There are also not that many tables to sit at so groups larger than 5 might find it difficult to fit in. This place does deserve praise for the spacious accessibility toilet that has a good and reliable baby changing station. The bathroom also seemed like it was being kept clean."

"Such beautifully presented food, all absolutely divine! Everything is vegan so no searching through the menu we shall definitely be returning here again soon! Family run cafe, friendly service, with lots of options to eat in or to take away. The rocky road was so good, I'd go back just for one of those! Beautifully prepared platter salad was lovely fresh. M*lkshakes, hot chocolates, cakes, scones, sausage rolls with a delicious twist, croissants with sweet fillings... Very happy children here It can understandably get busy, so worth booking if you don't want to miss out on a table! There's also outdoor seating if weather permits."

"This is a return visit and not much better. Late afternoon half the cafe sectioned off not many tables available. Squashed up in a corner with dirty tables and as always dirty toilets. This is a pleasant atmosphere or experience. Probably will not bother again xx"

"I booked a table today for a mid way meeting point for a family birthday and we were not disappointed both breakfasts and toasties were well presented delicious. We then went on to have cakes there was a good range, something for everyone, i had carrot cake which was a big slice with 3 layers of cake icing !! I bought a banoffee cinnamon bun home for a family member who couldn’t make it, warmed up as directed which is the best we’ve had in a long time. Staff were clearly busy yet attended the tables every need. We will definitely be back soon."

"I recently had breakfast at Vera and was impressed by the variety of vegan options available. The staff was friendly and efficient, and there was no sense of rush even when the restaurant became busy at lunchtime. Some of the delicious vegan dishes I tried included Loaded Fries, Open Sandwich with Baked Beans, Vegan Breakfast, Earl Grey Tea, and an Oreo Shake with Oat Milk. In addition to the menu offerings, there was also a selection of fresh cakes, cookies, and bread, some of which were vegan as well. I highly recommend trying the Oreo Shake when you visit Vera - it's a must-have! Thank you to the team at Vera for a great experience."

"We have been doing our best to support small business through these times, and one of the things we do is to visit the local cafes for coffee and breakfast. We got a coffee from UE this Saturday, and then decided we would go and get some breakfast at coffee smith. We ordered a bacon sandwich to take away and took a seat outside to wait for our breakfast. A rather abrasive man who I assume is the owner, who had been sitting overseeing his lovely staff, proceeded to come out to our table and ask us not to sit at the table as we had coffee from somewhere else. The cups were not branded but he asked us to leave our chairs despite the fact we were waiting for our food to take away. Awful customer service and so unprofessional. I would understand if we were planning on eating there, or if we were not buying anything but we were waiting for our order. As a fellow local business to UE you might think that he would support them.. I believe they even stock UE coffee. I wouldn’t give that man another penny of my money and I think it shows a really bad approach to hospitality. Also if your coffee was made better and you had a better attitude we may have come to you."

"love it! I eat here once or twice the week and get many vegan tasty items from the main business. the people will always talk about the high prices, but until everyone jumps on the vegan bandwagon, we must accept that we need to pay more. also, much luck finding a healthy, hot, vegan meal, served in minutes and just £5! super friendly staff, great curries and suppening, best small load in portsmouth (y)"

"I had breakfast there yesterday while I was waiting for the train to Paris. The place is amazing, and the atmosphere is very chill and gives off good vibes. I loved the menu as it offers a variety of choices that are different from the usual restaurant breakfast options. The food came quickly, and it was fresh and tasty (I recommend trying the scrambled eggs on toast as part of your breakfast). However, one of the things I liked the most was the service. Our waitress Sonya was so welcoming and charming. We could tell it was a pleasure for her to serve us, and she promptly attended to any requests we had. We will definitely visit again when we travel."

"the cafe miami offers a varied brunch in clapton with a combination of the aromas of miami – traditional and modern American with Mexican Spanish influences. the interiors are minimalist with light blue and pink decor around the caffe with exposed light rays scattered around the tables. there are various smoothies, juices and milkshakes in offer and the hot drinks are served with heart-shaped sugar cubes! we visited for cinnamon roll pancakes with cream cheese frosting £10) and speck £2). we were certainly not disappointed! they were melted in their mouth delicious and the cream cheese frosting was to die. the sweet and hearty worked with the speck, although we would like to be craspier. the musella filled pancakes and heifers and banana pancakes also on the menu looked quite epic. we also tucked into the huevos rancheros: two fried eggs, tortilla, again fried beans, spicy tomato sauce, coriander £9.5) chorizo £2). this brunch dish was tasteful with a mix of textures with the crispy tortillas on the top. the chorizo added an additional kick and it was a very filling and delicious brunch dish. cafe miami offers a great brunch in clapton and these cinnamon roll pancakes are worth to travel! we would have preferred the service to enjoy a bit more, but it is still a great place to relax with friends at the weekend."
