"Popped by recently on a Sunday morning while on a weekend break to Edinburgh! I liked being able to see the pastries in the window, in order to decide what you want before going into the tiny store! The staff were really warm and welcoming, and advised on the products they enjoy. I picked up the Hazelnut Pain au Chocolat and a Pain Suisse. Both pastries looked stunning. I decided to save the Pain Suisse for a later day, but ate the Pain au Chocolat shortly after purchasing. This was really tasty! The pastry itself had a nice amount of crunch and squish, though I would have liked a little more crunch. The hazelnut frangipane through the centre was super flavourful and there was just the right amount! The chocolate through the middle was of a good quality but slightly overpowered the hazelnut when consuming both simultaneously. Regardless, this was a very good pastry and I would purchase it again! I'd recommend twelve triangles based on this bake. However, I must note that my friend got the pistachio blackcurrant croissant, and could not taste any pistachio! Update I heated the Cross Laminated Pain Suisse from frozen this was absolutely incredible! The filling was a perfect balance of vanilla creme and chocolate chips (which cut the sweeteness perfectly). Even though I had frozen the product, it was still super buttery and I got a good crisp all the way around. One of the best pain suisse I have ever had highly recommend!"

Really good pastries, especially the pan au chocolat. The coffee could be better, but at least it's not burned.

This cardamom knot was soo good. I went later in the day a lot of the pastries were already gone. Regret not coming earlier

Excellent pastries and coffee. It's right around the corner from me so way too much of my paycheck goes here. It's excellent and good for on the go.

Been meaning to review for a while as friends often gift me bread from here and bring to Glasgow. Simply I have never tasted such delicious bread ever. The seeded sourdough is on another level!

Really loved this place and had been our go-to place during our stay. Amazing and healty collection of sandwiches which we loved for breakfast. Additionally, the quality of the breads is really good. I would highly recommend this place. : View menu

Baked goods are decent but often trend towards a little dry. Better than many other bakeries along leith walk though. Service leaves much to be desired, several times i have visited and the staff have busy with their own conversations and make you feel like an inconvenience

This place is fantastic. It has a cozy vibe. The women who work there are competent and caring. The pastries are top level, as is the coffee. The menu is small and features a good mix of sandwiches, vegetarian items, breakfast items, and pastries. Seasoning is perfect. It was so good that we went back a second day on our three day visit.
