"Took going to the front desk twice to get the tv fixed in the room. Initially they sent in housekeeping to try to fix it, then a gentleman around the front desk came in and reset the channels. Waited roughly 4-5 hours. Beds are a little hard, but I am used to memory foam, so may be good for people used to a conventional mattress. Shower is amazingly hot and perfect with a shower head that actually has pressure. Breakfast is great, lots of choices, and very good orange juice. Overall, perfect location for us and easy to get to from London via coach. Rooms: Little small, but efficient for needs. Walkability: Easy to get to from coach, restaurant/pub nearby, and convenient mart in walking distance. Food drinks: Room service available, breakfast with juices and coffee."

"My visit here was a total shambles. Before I asked to only have one waitress serving us, I ordered a drink, one waiter took the order, another delivered it and when I asked to pay the bill, another waiter appeared asking if I would like to pay the bill. When I said I had already asked for the bill, yet another waiter appeared to once again ask if I wanted to pay the bill. Please can someone get the waiters to talk to each other to avoid this constant barrage of people asking for information they already had. During this process our table host kept on coming over to ask if everything was OK, which clearly it wasn't and then didn't really listen to our answer, he just laughed. Then he kept on standing watching the football match directly in my way as if we weren't there The food was ok, ribs were poor, the salt and pepper squid had raw cayenne on the outside which was unpleasant and the chicken wings by all accounts were fine On a visit to the loo, there was no loo paper and no soap in any of the dispensers Overall the feel is that management are out of their depth and someone needs to take charge to ensure things run smoothly sooner rather than later. If you are going for a drink and to watch the sport then it could be a decent venue if they sort the leaderless waitering team out, but there are much better sports bars in London based on my recent experience."

"It was convenient for me to eat at the Brasserie as I was staying at the hotel. My daughter joined me for dinner and, luckily, we were able to laugh at the time it took to be served. The waiter explained that they had a buffet for happening at the same time so we made allowances. However, we had to remind the waiter that we had ordered wine. We waited at least half an hour for our food and then our plates were removed before we had actually finished. We had to ask for a sweet menu. Having ordered pancakes, we then had to wait another half an hour for these to arrive.It was fortunate that my daughter’s last train was midnight"

"We didn 't feel The Brasserie offered much variety. We arrived to be told that the Asian menu wasn 't available that day, leaving very limited menu choices especially if you wanted to be healthy. My steak and chips was fine but my wife ordered the 'superfood salad ', which transpired to be a huge bowl of spinach with a tiny bit of rice, three slices of avocado and a tiny bit of quinoa. Very disappointing for £13. The service was pretty good, but there wasn 't much of an atmosphere and we didn 't feel it represented good value for money, even for central London."

"The staff at this restaurant are incredibly friendly and professional. They go out of their way to accommodate their guests. The brasserie staff, in particular, are outstanding. The food is fantastic and the chef was more than happy to prepare something for us that wasn't on the menu. The chambermaids are also very friendly and the rooms are clean, spacious, and the beds are like fluffy clouds. We can't wait to visit again."

"Our experience from start to finish was outstanding. We were warmly welcomed by the staff upon arrival, and it only got better from there. The food was exceptional, accompanied by prompt service from the team, just as we expected. We ended the evening with a few cocktails, and the mojitos we had were among the best we've ever tasted. My wife and I visit Windsor once a year, and we will definitely be returning to Meat in the Parish in the future."

"Booked for last minute Mother’s Day lunch on their ‘wine and dine’ £40 deal for two and it was perfectly pleasant. The place was empty except for one business woman having a late lunch, which is a shame as the place was pleasant enough, the title of this review. The wine was standard Italian fare, lightly bodied rather than a Merlot or Primitivo. The squid rings were actual squid and the haggis bonbons were very meaty. The main meals of the burger (with haggis) was good, with a home made thick burger. The fish and chips were of a good standard, light batter but slightly tasteless fish (perhaps some extra seasoning or paprika would have lifted the dish). The fish was however not ‘wet’ as it can be elsewhere so cannot really complain. The dessert were HUGE, the star being the sticky toffee cake with soft caramel centre. The staff were pleasant enough, with a shift change half way through. The only big downside would be that, given it was late afternoon, the sun was streaming through. So we could not really understand the rationale behind having the heating turned up, with the radiators being right up against our window fronting table. We came out of there thinking we’d spent lunch in a sauna."

"A great restraunt. Great staff, good prices. We were staying at the Apex City of Edinburgh hotel whuch is where the restraunt is located. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and I could not find a fault with anything. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. Robert who we saw a lot of during our stay is a credit to the restraunt/hotel. The quality of the food was excellent with plenty of choice at Breakfast. I can't comment on the price of breakfast as this was part of our stay. The price for lunch/dinner and drinks was very reasonable."

"Really enjoyed our evening at Hickorys. I booked 2 tables online and on arrival asked if we could be located close together. The staff asked if we would be happy to wait slightly longer to be all together and sorted us out a big table for all 9 or us. "This was my third visit and I loved it. They have the best brunch menu with breakfast and lunch choices and the waiters top your prosecco glass up very frequently! The service is great. "Our dinner experience at this restaurant was supposed to be a highlight of our week away during Christmas, but unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. The main issue was that upon being seated, we were informed that many menu options were no longer available. In my 40 years of dining out, I have never encountered a list of unavailable options as extensive as this. The excuse given for the limited food availability being because it was Christmas was wholly inappropriate. Despite this disappointment, the rest of the evening was satisfactory, with the food and service being decent. Overall, it was a letdown. I would recommend that the management improve their menu planning and food ordering process for the future."

"After visiting a special exhibition at the British Museum, we had lunch at this restaurant. We began with the crab and venison starters and shared a perfectly cooked medium rare beef dish. "We were looking for somewhere to eat on a Saturday brunch lunch time and happened to walk past Quay Street Diner. Not hugely hungry just yet, we booked a table for 2 at 1.30pm. Getting there a little early, our table was ready in the busy restaurant so we sat down and ordered our drinks. Drinks (a pint and a tea) came out pretty quickly and our food order was taken. We then waited. And waited. For 45 minutes. My partner went up to order another a drink (as no-one came to the table) and enquire about food. Our 2nd round of drinks came 5 minutes later and the food 5 minutes after that. 55 minutes waiting for fish tacos and a Phillycheese Steak sub which were nice but not almost an hour wait nice. The server apologised when our 2nd round if drinks were brought over and when we went to pay they were also apologetic. I was looking forward to ordering a dessert (which sounded amazing) but didn't want to risk another massive wait. We left fairly quickly after finishing food."

"Horrible establishment. Booked a table to watch the UFC as not many places were showing it. As a sports bar you would think they would be well prepared to show the Pay per view. Instead of being able to watch it we and all the other customers proceeded to watch them go back and forth through Now TV for more than a hour trying to figure how to get it up. We eventually had to resort streaming the fight from our phones, and instead of the company dipping into their own pockets to purchase the event (money which would have been made back after 2 rounds of drinks for our table) they proceeded to illegally stream it. After they managed to finally get it up we had missed half of the event. Managers did not even come up to apologise to anyone or offer up any drinks on the house for the issues."

"The decoration was great... That's pretty much that. The food was a tasteless mixture in between cement and disgust. The nachos were horrible, the cheese wasn't even melted at all. After 2 minutes on the table the cheese started to cut up and to form small balls of cheese. When we told the waitress she said that she will pass the message to the kitchen, and that's it. The Mac n cheese had crumps of something very funny looking on top, as long as I remember it wasn't mention on the menu, and to be honest, a pinch of salt would have save it, maybe. The burgers were floating, like literally floating in oil, and the bacon was falling in pieces on the plate. The worst part was that the Yates in front of us was full of people while this place was fully empty, we could have spent our 28 pounds there instead."
