"First time we have eaten here lovely rooms, lots of parking, ENORMOUS portions for Sunday lunch! Really we were given far too much food, far more than any normal person could eat. And two courses, with lots of choice, for £23, amazing value. For first course we chose confit salmon, prawns, salad, delicious, and plenty of it. For the main course I had roast lamb, lots of slices, served over four big roast potatoes, carrots, parsnips, and served in a lake of (excellent) gravy. Then huge Yorkshire pud, and a big dish of broccoli and mini sweetcorn. My wife had half a chicken plus the same veg and Yorkshire pud and that was a BIG chicken, half of it enough for two people, easily. It was all very tasty, well cooked, good quality, and served by happy and professional staff in, as mentioned, lovely surroundings with a piano and double bass played throughout (rather too loudly) by the bar. The staff did say that hardly anyone ever eats all their meal. But why serve such huge portions then? It really was quite daunting, and by the time we worked through half, the food was getting cold. Smaller portions, bigger profits, happier customers, maybe? We discovered afterwards that one can anyway order smaller portions that's the answer next time. All recommended, top value for good food and big tummies."

The entire experience was exceptional. The staff on duty were outstanding during our visit, the atmosphere and venue were top-notch, and the Sunday dinner was the best we've had while dining out.

I wish they offered a one-course option, as the portions were quite large. The service was initially very fast, but we ended up waiting for dessert. The acoustics could use some improvement, as the piano was too loud, making conversation difficult.

Had a fantastic meal here and for saying they’ve only be open for 4 weeks the service and standard was excellent. Me and my wife got married here in 2014 and it was great to come back and be served high quality food. Would highly recommend and we are coming back with friends soon. View menu

My last visit to this restaurant was fantastic. Unfortunately, this time the heating was broken, so I found myself sitting in my heavy coat. We had a large round table for the four of us, and we struggled to hear each other without raising our voices. The service was good, but my main course was served lukewarm, which was quite disappointing. I was really looking forward to bringing my friends here for some delicious food, as they had heard great things about it.

Forgotten how great this place was. Meal was amazing, so tasty and massive portions. Never known hubby not to clear his plate, but much to his disgust, it beat him and he had to admit defeat. Used to go every week for their midweek special and was so disappointed when they stopped. One slight negative, was that we were sitting practically in the band so found it hard to have a conversation, but we liked the music and are musicians so appreciate acoustics in a conservatory are difficult, so didn’t detract from our enjoyment, but others may not like to be so close.

"Went here last night at the tail end of an office Christmas party and we stumbled (quite literally inside having been turned away at a restaurant next door. It was past closing though their OPEN sign was still on. Anyway! Although Oppa was just about to close, they took us in, a group of 6, and stayed open until we finished. When I realized we were in a Korean restaurant, I was so excited; I've been searching for a good Korean restaurant in the midlands. My colleagues were much less so as they had never had Korean food and were unfamiliar with everything on the menu. I ordered for everyone and despite some of them being difficult one colleague kept asking for samosas, aah! the service was faultless. Staff were super attentive and helpful, patient, friendly, good fun, and extremely accommodating. Just perfect! And they stayed open for us quite late without rushing us out, what more can you ask for? Ok, so the food. It was SO so good and I'm already planning to go back. The kimchi was bang on how I like (a big deciding factor for me strongly fermented/pickled and spicy, and fresh. All the bulgogi (marinated meat , dolsot bibimbap (sizzling rice bowl , jjigae (stew/ramen style soups , seafood and extras that were served tasted just like I had hoped they would. Presentation was great everything looked properly appetizing and vegetables and seafood, etc were all clean and fresh. I was too busy stuffing my face and enjoying the moment and company to take photos, but the few photos I've seen on here are true to life. Other things people might be interested in: This restaurant is kitted out to cook Korean BBQ at/in/on your table. It is spacious, with lots of tables and room to move around. Decor is tasteful and minimal. It is clean and indeed I was warned by staff when going upstairs to the ladies' to be careful as the stairs and the toilets had all just been cleaned (and clean they were! . If you're looking for good Korean food, look no further. If you're looking to try Korean food for the first time, this is a great place to start. Go for it! Might see you there, if I can help it :D [I've copied this review over from where I originally posted it because this listing and the one for OPPA in Leicester are the same exact restaurant, FYI]"
