"On Thursday 25th May 2023, I dined with a group of friends at a restaurant. The food was excellent and our waitress provided great service. We all enjoyed our meals and had cocktails, but unfortunately, I experienced some health issues due to the high sugar content in my drink. The Manageress, Katie, was incredibly helpful and made sure I was well taken care of before leaving. She even followed up with a phone call the next day to check on my wellbeing. Katie's exceptional customer service exceeded my expectations, and we will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future, although I will be avoiding cocktails."

"Took my partner to try the new Vegan menu. We were very impressed. 3 courses and all were amazing. Fresh and presented well. The chocolate lava pudding was one of the best desserts ever and was actually Vegan. Table was good and atmosphere warm. Staff all seemed friendly and happy to be there. We were served by Aaron who was very good and made sure we were looked after. We will be going back guaranteed and yesterday evenings outing was well worth it. Fabulous dinner"

"I made a reservation for a table for 8 people at 6:15 through OpenTable, but when I arrived, they had not received my booking, which was not my error but an OpenTable mistake. We had to wait until 6:45 for the next available table, which was only designed for 6 people. After I asked about our order, we were finally served our food at 7:30. By then, my hungry and hyper 3-year-old son was running around the restaurant. The 7 burgers, buns, and onion rings we ordered were cold and tasteless, with soggy bases, but the fries were very hot. We also had to wait again for the children's desserts, which was ice cream. We had to ask for our bill and ended up leaving disappointed with a group of bored children who had been sitting at a small table for too long and given poor quality food. Spending £105 for the worst evening out in a long time is not something I would recommend or repeat."

"Came here for lunch before children returned back to school. We were seated straight away and greeted by our server Rowan our drinks and food order were wanted promptly. Have to give a special shout out to Server Lily who remembered our daughter from our last visit always so happy and friendly. "First of all, service was great with the waiting staff! We had a really nice waiter. The food not good! Not fresh ingredients at all. I ordered chicken mushroom penne in a fresh creamy sauce! I got what I can only describe as condensed mushroom soup mixed through pasta with some chicken! It was tasteless, bland and certainly not fresh ingredients. I sent it back and replaced it with potato skins with bacon, cheese and chive! These things came out of a freezer! They were sent back also! If I was in a cheap place I could see why it was cheap, but I was not, Franky and Benny’s is not a cheap place! The waiter took both the pasta and potatoes off the bill and was very apologetic, as I said, service great as usual, but the food? No thanks!"

"I recently dined at Francie Bennys in Coventry and it was absolutely terrible. Let me tell you a joke – I would have been better off going to Burger King instead. I ordered a cajun chicken sandwich which came with fries and coleslaw. When the food arrived, the coleslaw was soggy and I couldn't even bring myself to eat it. The portion of fries was so small, I could count them – there were exactly 23. The chicken sandwich was also disappointing as it was served stone cold. It seemed like they had just reheated a pre-cooked chicken breast in the microwave for 20 seconds before serving it. The sandwich cost £9.95 and a coke was £2.10, making a total of £12.05 for a meal that even a dog wouldn't want to eat. I didn't want to cause a scene by complaining, but I definitely won't be returning."

"I made two phone calls after making a reservation through OpenTable, and both times they said they had no record of my booking. It was for my daughter's birthday, and even on the day of the reservation, the manager insisted we didn't have a booking before finally admitting we had one for 5pm, when my app clearly showed it was for noon. They were able to seat us eventually, but the attitude was really poor. However, our waiter was fantastic and the food was good. It's a shame about their booking system."

"I have been to this restaurant twice as a vegan and have always been delighted. The beet burger is absolutely delicious, and the Mediterranean salad is a perfect choice for a light and refreshing meal. I would also strongly recommend trying the chocolate fudge cake. It has always been my favorite dessert, and I was overjoyed to see it on their vegan menu."

"I don't often go to eat, but I love frankie bennys. at the various locations I can go and it is always a tasty bite. eating is nice and my two children ate for free. they have great cocktails and the service is friendly and fast. "Prebooked a table for people. We were crammed on a person table if that despite the restaurant being practically empty with much bigger tables. It was clear we were struggling and not once were we offered the chance to move. We had to...call someone over to take our drinks order. She didn’t come to take the order for at least minutes after saying she was coming then one drink never turned up so after about minutes of waiting we had to ask for it again. The food arrived at the same time which was good but unfortunately nobody had cleared our salad bowls so we couldn’t fit the mains on properly and some plates were practically bare. There was only a quarter of rotisserie chicken left when we ordered so we had to swap to a chicken breast which was ok but when a lot of the food is fatty and the ribs are undercooked without the bbq sauce on at all like stated on the menu that isn’t acceptable. It was very clear the staff were keeping the guests in one area of the restaurant for their convenience but it backfired when someone from the door marked ‘Private’ shouted something so loudly every guest turned and looked in shock. There was no explanation or apology. The staff just came out one by one smiling and laughing after they’d all rushed through to the back to see what was going on. Very unprofessional! It’s my first time visiting Wales and I’d had this Harvester recommended to me but I’ll never go back to it no matter how many times I visit in the future!"

"Went in for an early dinner at 11.30am, but were told they don't take orders for dinner until 12pm. We just sat at a table, had drinks and chatted for a bit so it wasn't a problem. I had macaroni cheese with bacon and my nephews ordered off the kids menu. Good selection on the kids menu, usually it's about four things, but there's had a much larger choice which was good. My Mum had the caeser salad. Food was very tasty and came in good time. The lady who served us was chatty, friendly and very smiley. Good experience all round."

"Our daughter has never in the past years been home for her birthday due to commitments in the first weeks of the school holidays and is only home for an evening in the middle ao we wanted to something special for her (albeit a couple of days early) We were picking her up from near Derby so we thought a trip on the way home to Sheffield would be a good idea. I found F&B restaurants in the area and plumped for this one. I booked for at and relaxed. Until the day before when I could not find the confirmation. So I booked again. The discovered with horror the first confirmation in my junk items. I promptly cancelled that one but then panicked that it would be construed as both being cancelled. As we had a cake I popped in before we went to pick her up. The staff were great, took the cake off me and reassured me that the booking was there. Off I went. Next panic came at when we realised we were running early. I needn't have worried. A quick call to the restaurant confirmed we could get there early. When we arrived there was only one other group sitting. This would ordinarily have worried me but after the fantastic service so far it didn't. First thoughts turned to a banner, not asked for, but so thoughtful saying birthday girl Never had that at a F&B before but wow, my daughter's face lit up. Should have said earlier that she has no clue we had planned this. Balloons galore at a corner table and we settled in. Great that we were not pressed to decide our food, bit could take our time. The waitress explained that they did not have any pineapple so Hawaiian pizza was off the menu. But she helpfully offered alternatives and we ordered. The meals came together and were hot (unlike my last F&B experience in Scunthorpe). The pizzas of us), lasagne and burger were well cooked and everyone tooked in. The obligatory is everything ok visit came but not before we had had chance to eat something and also a request for a top up of drink was met speedily (again Scunthorpe take note). Puddings again arrived promptly and together (yes this does matter) and after a nod the cake arrived. A great early evening for us s we headed home happy. Thank you to the team at F&Bs Manor Road, Derby for making one birthday girl feel extremely happy and one dad the most happy he has been with a dining experience for a long long time. Just please stock up on pineapple for next time (haha)"

"visited here for dinner (in the afternoon) on our shopping tour with our 3 children. menu for the lunchtime that was good and still a decent selection. the children's dishes are good and all 3 young have enjoyed their meal. it's a shame that you can't get 2x sides, although some of the meals are quite small. I chose the halloumi wrap I really regretted that I love halloumi, but there was so much salat and avocado that I could not even taste the halloumi in it, very disappointing. my man had the bbq bark pack he said was really nice. I thought the options were pretty cumbersome if they don't want chocolate or not. Too bad they don't have a strawberry or eton chaos sunflower. I tried the cream egg cookie dough at the end and it was very rich, in any case must come with ice. our waitress was nice, very fast. it's a good box stop for lunch, but I'd definitely get something else when we go back."

"We haven’t been to a Frankie Bennys for years but called in on a random wet Sunday for lunch. No booking but we’re seated straight away, drinks order taken immediately brought over before we’d even gotten our coats off. We shared the starter for 2 which was really good, probably the highlight of the visit. The mains were quick to follow were really tasty filling. Would have loved a dessert but were too full, will do next time though. The drinks were refreshed during our visit, the staff were polite prompt. Looking forward to coming again! Dietary restrictions: They have an extensive gluten free menu on the back of the normal menu. It’s so nice to not have to ask for one specifically the options choices are plentiful. Would definitely bring our celiac family members here as it would give them the chance to feel included as so many other restaurant chains make them feel uncomfortable for their dietary requirements.
