"This was our first visit to F&Bs after lockdown, we haven't been in since before all the lockdown measures, so made sure to come back try the famous pizza they offered before. We were greeted by a friendly girl who showed us to our...table and then explained the few items they did not have, the menu is still quite varied with only a few items missing from the previous one I remember. I was craving a pizza so a margarita was what I was after, my girlfriend had cheeseburger chips. We were offered some seasoned fries which sounded good with a cheese sauce. Around 20mins later our food was served, which is great as we had the cinema to go to also, the food was served hot but didnt taste as good as I remember, with it maybe being a bit more mass produced rather than handcrafted like it was before. It was still enjoyable and the chips were good but still a bit bland with the cheese sauce. All in all it was good to be back but not quite as I remember, as used to love the pizzas! my girlfriend had a student card so we got discount on the meal which was great. All in all a good experience."

"Visited Christmas eve, booked for 8pm, rang to say we may be a few minutes late to be told they close at 9pm,now I hadn't been told this very disappointed to say the least, there was 6 of us, we arrived on time and we ordered drinks and had 3 cokes a few cocktails when they arrived there was no syrup in the coke so just like drinking water, the manager came over and said quite abruptly I've tasted the coke and there's nothing wrong with it, so basically called us liars, I tasted it it was water, one of the team said it was a new recipe but I'm sorry coca cola is coca cola.i have visited here with family and never been treated so rudely. "I don't often go to eat, but I love frankie bennys. at the various locations I can go and it is always a tasty bite. eating is nice and my two children ate for free. they have great cocktails and the service is friendly and fast. I would like to distinguish at least a few workers petronella and sam who made our visit even more pleasant. if they don't have to pre-book they might have to wait for the table, so better to make calls in advance. I have no complaints and my family loves it."

"The restaurant experience was very disappointing. Upon arrival, they claimed that there was no booking under my name despite providing confirmation. Eventually, we were seated after a 20-minute wait but the service was so slow that we ended up waiting 2 hours before leaving. When the desserts finally arrived, they assured us that the child's dessert would be ready in 2 minutes. However, we had all finished our desserts and had to remind them about my son's dessert, which still hadn't been served. Overall, I would not recommend visiting this restaurant again."

"that was just a normal place to eat, we would eat here again; No. the service was mediocre, there were so many children at the point that it was difficult to hear the other person who spoke to them. when they made a birthday song, they played the music so loud that it was too much in a restaurant. the bathroom looked like it had not been touched in hours, maybe all afternoon, no toilet paper in one of the stands."

"I was well impressed with this restaurant. I usually eat at F&B..and I really quick understand the differences between food and taste, between restaurants. I know also what is the standard for F&B. Bad service you keep to remember and will not make you a returning customer. This is the only restaurant in a 100 miles radius I never complained or my food was never raw. I also appreciated on my last visit a lady who was cleaning she looked more from management as she didn’t had an uniform, setting a good example in cleaning for her employees and customers by cleaning tables very thoroughly, all the spots covered. Well impressed by that especially as I work with Covid patients and I know how important is to be infectious free. The separation areas they build are important as well. The lady who was cleaning I didn’t manage to see her badge as she is a fast walker but she had a colourful mask , the only one who was actually wearing one and yes I know you can choose if you want to wear them but still for me was important as she was trying to protect others in a close environment with covid roaming around everywhere. I held myself for over 2 weeks to write this review as I was to busy but like I said I will be a returning customer.Kudos to her ! Kudos to all managers who are setting the bar high and lead by example! I eat here roughly every 2 weeks and I’m always very well treated. My favourite restaurant, if 10 stars were to be available, 10 stars from me! From the 3 restaurants that Sheffield has, this is by far the best one! Keep it up, guys!"

"Although we have been to F and Bs before we were disappointed this time round. Firstly the attachment highchair for my son, although the right size and nice to have him at the table was quite dirty. As it was made of canvas it would be hard to clean and did have a smell to it. The restaurant itself was very noisy and we had to really shout to hear each other at our table. The service however was good. Polite and prompt. However most disappointingly was that my wife discovered an inch long metal shard in her food! Staff apologised and made some fresh food but understandably she wasn’t too keen to eat any more and I was concerned what my children had eaten as this had a similar spaghetti dish. I would certainly think again before rebooking. Shame"

"My family and I visited the restaurant on Friday using two Groupons. Our waitress Aya was very attentive and informed us of the limitations. Despite arriving during a busy time, she took great care of us. The food was delicious, but the steak on my mixed grill was undercooked. However, they kindly removed the cost of our drinks from the bill. The service was excellent, the food was good, and the environment was perfect for families. We will definitely return!"

"My son took me for dinner here tonight and the food was excellent. I usually suffer from indigestion if I eat pizza as it's usually greasy, but this was light, crispy and really tasty. I also had a pecan pie cheesecake which was delicious. Our waiter, Jamie, was friendly, chatty and very attentive....he definitely deserves praise, as I will certainly return if his service is anything to go by. I hope he gets acknowledged for his excellent service, he certainly earned it. Thanks for a great evening."

"Came here last week with my husband for a treat! Staff were attentive, customer service was second to none despite it being very busy. We were served by a lovely girl called Lizzie? Greeted with a lovely smile, gave us just the right time to chose, drinks out quickly and didn't feel rushed one bit! We said what a hard working team they were looked like they gelled well together, enjoying their shift! Great customer service is hard to come by these days so felt it worthy of note!!! "After a long day of traveling, I was hit with a terrible migraine, and since there was no food available at the hotel, I decided to venture out to eat. It was pouring rain, and I felt very fragile but also hungry. When I arrived, there were some tables inside, so I explained my situation and asked to be seated in a quieter area. Instead, I was directed to a table in the middle of the restaurant, right next to some loud children and under a loudspeaker. When I inquired about a quieter table, I was told the only option was to sit outside in the pouring rain, not even under any cover. After speaking with others at the hotel, I learned that the man at the door is known for being rude. I have no intention of dining at Frankie and Benny's again."

"I am a great fan of frankie and Benny’s, eating is generally always consistent and really quite delicious! I can say confidently that I have tried at least 1/3 of the menu and it is all really delicious! No matter what they choose, they will almost always get a really delicious meal! during the week they have in the rule a promotion for two courses and I recommend that for a cheaper meal, as a single meal can cost the same as the price the meal deal itself! this special industry is really beautiful and the staff is super friendly! I've never had a problem with eating. if they are on the royal mile, they should consider that this particular facility can be quite busy, so please note that in the head."

"First time visiting Frankie and Benny's with a friend. We were politely welcomed to a seat and asked if we would like anything to drink before the waitress left. We asked for some time to decide what we wanted to order. The waitress returned promptly after serving customers who were ready to order. This was reasonable time for us. We then ordered drinks and two courses each. A starter and a main. The drinks were brought over in good time for us to settle and have a chat. The starters arrived not long after. My friend ordered a garlic bread pizza which he described as greasy but tasty. I decided to have the mozzarella dippers which tasted bland, even with the sauce. A couple of them were overcooked. For our mains we ordered a vegan burger with sweet potato fries and a plain 6oz burger with fries. The vegan burger was very tasty, however the sweet potato fries were slightly overcooked but still rather nice. The plain 6oz burger arrived : not plain. It had to be sent back and corrected. However my friend was pleased with it once it came back. We were rather full afterwards and decided to pass on trying a dessert. We asked for the tab and it came back to us at an incorrect amount. We soon realised they charged for a jug of the cocktail I ordered instead of a glass and 2 servings of coke. We brought this up to the waitress and she fixed the issue with the cocktail but informed us that because we ordered the coke from the main menu, instead of the side menu (even though they are the same price) that the refills would not be free. 7/10 food. 6/10 service. Wouldn't be somewhere I'd go back in a hurry as there are far superior eateries for similar prices."

"Food tasted good but can’t say it was very fresh. The king prawn appetizer made with frozen prawns (which no one will call King Prawn in size, large sure) was clearly microwaved, it was steaming in the middle and there was spatter on the side of the bowl. It was also the same sauce they used for the arrabbiata. Which again, tasted fine but not very fresh. It was microwaved and so the pasta had a weird texture, the chicken pieces in it were quite bland but cooked properly. We also had the bolognese which was honestly so disappointing, you’d think an Italian restaurant would be able to do a good bolognese. But it was extremely greasy with a pool of oil at the bottom of the plate and there was barely any sauce, the mince was pretty dry. Cloudy lemonade did not taste much of lemonade. It was the same color as fresh cloudy apple juice. And it tasted like it was lemonade mixed with that. Quite strange. Service was very good though, the servers were friendly and attentive."

"I am a frequent visitor to Frankie and Benny's in Newcastle, going to this branch a little less frequently than the brnach at the Gate, which is in a far better location near the cinema. This branch feels a little smaller and less private inside, with big glass windows overlooking a busy street.This restaurant chain is classically Italian in flavour, playing non stop easy listening style songs, lots of Sinatra too, as you eat. the decor is done very well, with murals depicting the history of the restaurant's owners.The menu is typical Italian with a personal edge, dishes like Mama's cheese bake' and New York cheesecake' spring to mind. It is done in an attempt to transport you into a different time and place. The food is always tasty and wholesome. Pizzas have a fresh vegetable base, no fake cheese or pizza sauce here. Dishes are always well cooked and done to personal specification.This branch always provides less in portion to the one at the Gate, for some reason, but this is my only complaint. The staff here are friendly, student hip-hop types who are quick to serve, happy and talkative. Great menu for kids and adults alike. Prices are reasonable but a little higher than similar pizza outlets, but worth it for the environment you eat in."
