"New staff ! The staff were fantastic. We booked our table online. Greeted promptly and taken to our table. A lovely lady (from South Africa I think) Was very welcoming asked if we would like drinks before making out choice from the new menu. The new menu has plenty to choose from for all tastes. Our food arrived piping hot and presented very well. We were checked on after a short while making sure everything was satisfactory. The food was excellent. The desserts where delightful with a little extra surprise added for a birthday a candle!"

"We went to have our Sunday dinner at Olivers today. We often go there for food or the sister pub the Lion in Brinsley. This is hands down one of the best roast dinners you will have. We've been coming here for years now for the food but also for the live entertainment and drinks. They work really hard to provide a broad spectrum of entertainment and it's always a great night out at the weekend. The bar staff are great and today we were served by a really lovely lady who couldn't have been more friendly. Just as an extra today we ate for free. We live local and our house had been damaged by the flood. The owner not only came and helped us local residents with our homes but then fed us all for free, which speaks to the kind of people who run Oliver's. So if you want a beautiful meal friendly staff and a real community feel with people who are passionate about what they do, then this is the place for you. Top tip, try the pork belly bites. You won't be disappointed."

"Beware of this restaurant's lack of customer service. We paid for a meal only to discover 45 minutes later that our order had not been sent to the kitchen. The bartender refunded our money, but this experience caused us to lose a group of 7 customers who had planned to stay for cocktails and more drinks. We have been regular customers at this restaurant for a while and we are extremely disappointed."

"I have to call out the service I received from management on the app firstly. I was making a large booking (12 people and 2 dogs) and the service was efficient, flexible, friendly and helpful regarding the deposit. On the day the food was excellent, pints were lovely and we were made to feel very welcome. Lastly I have to call out Jac for her amazing service. I had made two previous bookings about 11 months before and I couldn't believe it when she remembered us! Her service (as with the previous two occasions) was exceptional and she's an absolute credit to the bar. Without question and similar to what I've written before Jac is the reason I'll keep going back but the whole team are outstanding. Couldn't recommend highly enough."

"Unfortunately, my hopes for a pleasant meal with my daughter and granddaughter were dashed at this restaurant. We waited for over an hour before anyone approached our table. The lack of heating in the restaurant, with temperatures outside at 7 degrees, was not communicated to us beforehand. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, except for a large group already dining, we received slow service while the other party was attended to promptly. The explanation given was that only two staff members were working that day, which seemed inadequate for the size of the establishment. The food quality was mediocre at best, with my smothered chicken being too tough to cut. Ultimately, we left most of our meals uneaten and went elsewhere for a quick bite. It felt like £50 was wasted, as the experience was disappointing. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. On a positive note, there was ample parking available outside, though the disabled spaces were not designated."

"We had to place our orders online from our tables using a QR code. The menu was quite limited, and neither my partner nor I found anything appealing, so we decided to play it safe with a curry and a chicken burger with chips. The curry was edible but far from enjoyable. The chicken burger consisted of two pieces of dry, reformed chicken in breadcrumbs, which tasted stale, accompanied by a plate of overcooked oven chips—it was a terrible main course. For dessert, we both chose cheesecake, thinking that even frozen cheesecake would satisfy us, but sadly, it did not. We left most of it untouched because it was not nice at all, and we were still hungry afterward. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and polite, and we don't hold them responsible for the food quality. It seems that the Holiday Inn has adopted a method of providing low-quality, low-value food to cut costs. This experience ruined what was meant to be a special gift and a much-needed break from our busy lives. Overall, we were very disappointed."

"We requested a window seat, which was nice. However, we were greeted with an abrupt introduction. The waitress seemed more interested in talking to a local customer at a nearby table than taking our order, which came across as rude and arrogant. The menu was covered in dried ketchup, but the food itself was enjoyable. Unfortunately, the waitress cleared empty glasses without asking if we wanted another drink and removed two plates before everyone had finished eating. After waiting 20 minutes without being asked about dessert, we had to try and get her attention for the bill. Despite having eaten at this restaurant before without any issues, this experience was disappointing."

"This lovely restaurant was recommended by the owners of our lovely guest house just down the road from this place.I rang Wednesday afternoon they had a table for us Wednesday evening.They do a 3 course evening meal with a glass of wine for £32:50 each.There is a choice of starters,main courses desserts, you also get a small white brown Bread roll(which is homemade) just lovely.The food was delicious we enjoyed every course,I am fussy with steaks but the rib eye steak was really tasty cooked just how I’d asked,really tasty.There is no rush either when we wanted a rest before our puddings.Service was excellent especially the older gentleman whom works in there,what a lovely gentleman he is.Excellent service,divine food.We enjoyed it so much that we booked again for Thursday evening again was lovely.This place is just across the road from the pier.Probably the best place to eat in Llandudno, excellent value for money.Didn’t take too many photos as we were too busy enjoying our food.My only criticism is that on our 1st evening there was no music playing which would of been nice.Will definitely visit when in Llandudno again."

"my partner and I have booked this restaurant for our first night in york. this is the second time that we were in york and a few days before our arrival I googled best Italian restaurants in york, as we did not manage to find one that we were really happy with the last time. the entire booking process was easy, the website was beautiful and the cover decoration photos looked stunning. we went from our hotel and realized that it was only around the corner of our favorite the botanist. the outer was beautiful and the interieur was like something from paris stunning! once I sat on the chair next to me until I saw the waitress offered to take the hand of the couple next to us. I then asked if she were in order to take my what she did. we ordered the half- cheese and half-tomat garlic bread together with a cocktail and a beer to share. Unfortunately, our garlic bread arrived and I had to hunt my drink, then I found out they were off, but I chose another and that came fast. both I and my partner said it was the best garlic bread we've ever had. the passion fruit cocktail was also beautiful. I chose penne arrabiata for my head without meat and my partner had the meatballs. I usually fight with arrabbiata, as restaurants sometimes too much chili in but, that was perfect. everything from ambiente to eating and drinking was absolutely breathable. it is safe to say that this will be our way to the restaurant when we in york will return my favorite Italian restaurant until today!"

"Lovely local pub with log fires. Dog friendly, lots of different ales and drinks. We were a party of 10 and we all ate a meal. The food was absolutely delicious. All the meals were freshly home made and all served together. Would highly recommend. "When I initially booked a table at The Parade Room I mentioned that I had a Shellfish allergy. A prompt return email asked if I had any other dietary needs and when I explained that I had problems with many foods due to acid reflux digestive problems the chef prepared a menu for me that took into account all of my needs. I was so impressed that he took the time to research a perfect two course lunch just for me including low fat and no dairy. The mackerel and lentils dish followed by a perfectly smooth soya ice cream were both delicious and just what I needed to eat so that I didn’t feel unwell after eating any meal as I often do. My husband and son both really also enjoyed their roast dinners with the bread sauce being the best my son had ever eaten and the marmite hollandaise sauce with the beef for my husband another highlight. Shaun who served us was so knowledgeable about every dish and was clearly a genuine foodie and so enthusiastic about the menu. I would definitely recommend eating here. It’s shame that we don’t live in Canterbury but we would definitely make a return visit to The Parade Room the next time we visit this city."

"We had a wonderfully relaxing stay. Although we encountered a plumbing issue in our bathroom, Gabriella handled it promptly and efficiently. The pub was quite busy, yet she ensured that the problem was addressed without taking shortcuts. A plumber arrived within an hour of our initial report. Our meal was delightful, thanks to the lovely, friendly, and attentive staff, along with great food and wine. We were also compensated for the issue in our room, which we truly appreciated. While the plumbing problem could have spoiled our evening, thanks to Gabriella's efforts, we ended up having a delightful and relaxing time. Thank you, Gabriella! We’re already looking forward to our next visit, as we will definitely be returning. The rooms are of a remarkably high standard and beautifully decorated."

"Conveniently situated close to Junction 22 of the M5 on the A38 so easily accessible to locals and travellers alike. Plenty of parking front and back but suggest use front car park during wet weather. We dined on a quiet Thursday evening and were delighted by the quality of the food and service. We had cottage pie, salmon fillet and pork belly from the extensive menu. The food was cooked to order, hot and plentiful. Together with a bottle of wine and a pint of local real ale, the bill was a reasonable £82. This is definitely a cut above normal 'pub grub ' and well worth a visit but advise booking in the summer months. Will definitely return."

"We hadn’t been in the Clarence since the refurb and it looks great. We were attended to straight away and ordered our drinks which came quickly. The server brought our cutlery and an extra soup spoon. When my salad starter came I had to eat it with my steak knife and fork as that was the only cutlery I had been given. I gave it a wipe and kept hold of it for the second course! The main course for both of us was very nice. In fact the chips were really good! Coffee last and as amazing as it looks, please don’t make scorching hot coffee in a tall wine glass! The poor server almost dropped it on the table as the glass was so hot. I felt uncomfortable picking up a full, heavy hot wine glass by the stem so had to use a serviette to hold it. My other half had a proper glass coffee cup with a handle I’ve never been more jealous! So. Great service. Lovely food. More cutlery. Proper cups. I’m sure we’ll visit again!"
