"the food was good in bengal bertie’s in north finchley, but the restaurant urgently needs more staff, it was half an hour between our poppadoms and in the position to order the rest of the food. they were not busy in the restaurant itself there were only 2 other tables, but the constant stream of Takeaway calls meant that the waiter was constantly on the pone."

"Sorry boss man you know we love you but, after 20+ yrs coming to you nope. The food lately hasn’t been great.Hence why we haven’t ordered much.Curry is watery and not as hot as we asked for (vindaloo) Only 2 small (triangles)vegetable samosas for something like £3 I’m sure it sure to be 3-4.The curry sauce was only half full the other half was in the bag.We decided to come to to give you the benefit of the doubt but we’re really disappointed.Time to look for a different Indian takeaway"

"New to this area and first time ordering from here, I simply searched best curry house in my area and Monsoon came on first on the search and yes can confirm it was the best curry I ever had never had quite like it before, had plain korma as can 't handle spice very well, it was beautiful, delicious. Now the naan bread is something else too, tasted buttery and good taste. Had Bombay potatoes before always been spicey, however these bombay potatoes wasn 't spicey at all which didn 't matter as tasted real good, only downside was the chips as they wasn 't crispy and golden like how golden bird used to do them from castle bromwhich but regardless best curry ever, you got new customer and will be ordering from monsoon again. Thanks for lovely meal."

"Beautiful, succulent, tasty food; well presented and served by friendly staff. The menu doesn 't waste time giving you extensive lists, running to several pages, of what you might hope to get in any, run-of-the-mill, Indian restaurant. It 's one page of what they do brilliantly well. Sure there are enough choices; but immediately we got the feeling that these guys know what they are doing. Keeping it simple and preparing wonderful dishes. This very much proved to be the case. The chicken tikka starter was immense. The Railway Lamb Curry fantastic. Herself had 'the best fish curry ' she 'd ever had. Even the dessert menu (something I 'm seldom tempted by in an Indian restaurant) had a dish to tempt. Best Indian food I 've had in the capital by a mile. Thoroughly recommend. Seek it out."

"I have ordered from this restaurant several times through Just Eat and have always been impressed with the quality of the food for takeout. They offer a good selection of dishes made with genuine meat and tasty vegetarian options. The food is flavorful, well-prepared, and comes in generous portions. While not the cheapest option, the prices are reasonable. Delivery is also consistently fast."

"The four courses included a poppadom, a starter, a curry, and nan bread. The poppadom was disappointing as it was cold and stale, and only came with two accompaniments - a spicy yogurt and mango chutney. The onion bhajees for the starter were freshly cooked and tasty, but the accompanying salad was not fresh as the cucumber was starting to turn brown. The Chicken Korma was generous, hot, and delicious, and the nan bread was also good. The service was quick and efficient. I was disappointed to find out that they did not serve wine, although I later noticed they had lager in the fridge, raising questions about their drinks license policy. There was bottled water on the table, but it was not complimentary and cost over £3 if consumed. I was able to get a smaller bottle for £1.95 when I asked. Overall, I would recommend sticking to the freshly cooked dishes and avoiding the poppadoms and salad."

"We visited with friends on a Saturday evening from the outside my heart sank no kerb appeal weeds around the building old torn stickers of past achievement and accredition in the far from clean windows limited exterior signs did not look great but car park was full so that was a good sign. Rather brusk welcome interior was smart and clean orders taken efficiently. Food arrived in good time and I have to say was really good. The waiters became more relaxed as the evening went on. 112 for 4 people that included 4 x cobras and a bottle of wine not bad. Hands shakes on leaving. I do think some exterior spruce up would pay dividends and look like someone cared and some gentle background music to add a little atmosphere to an otherwise clinical which I had no issue with interior most importantly though food was good and front of house premises and toilets were clean. Can recommend you can't always judge a book by its cover."

"Back in my 'day ' (the late 80 's, 90 's and early 2k), Blackwood Rd had the usual town/village shops. Walks to school including a stop at Taylors News for sweets, chippy tea, hair cut, pharmaceutical support... Roll on 30 years later, and something that could have come a lot lot sooner (when I was walking the streets, on my way home after a night out at the local public houses when turning '18 ' in the late 90 's) there is a restaurant. An indian restaurant. Visiting parents, as now live in Lincolnshire, and they took me here... Service; fantastic, very personal, great conversation. Location; 'hidden ' away, and parking could be an issue if early doors. Drinks; unlicensed, so BYOB. Wine for me. Food; when 'testing ' an Indian restaurant I will always go with the chefs/restaurants 'own ' Jalfrazi. If its good, I know the rest of the menu will be good. Lots of experience here . No complaints from parents, nor myself. Price; absolutely spot on for portion size. Lamb Tikka Sylheti Jalfrazi. Not over powered with chilli, just a nice warmth on the back of the tongue, perfection. As well as the starters, all was beautiful. Highly recommended, and parents say take out/delivery is spot on too. Those that know me, you know I like my curry. If i say its good, its very good. "I recently visited this restaurant for the first time with some friends, and we received a very warm welcome. The service was excellent from start to finish. The food was exceptionally tasty and served promptly, and it was piping hot. The desserts were equally delicious, and we ended our meal with some coffee. I am looking forward to visiting again soon. Thank you!"

"Now I've been to the Wardour Street branch and thought it was fine, if a little unmemorable.I came to this Store Street branch at lunchtime and ordered the jungle curry with steamed jasmine rice. The curry was horrible. I had to send it back. Full of woody bits of lemongrass, it was fiery yet tasteless. It also had goose-pimpled pieces of chicken skin floating around in it and it was throroughly off-putting. I know that often cheaper cuts like thigh and leg which have skin on it are used as they have more flavour, but the ratio of the skin and the meat was disproportionate. When I told the waiter I couldn't eat it, he gave me a withering look and said Maybe I should have told you that the jungle curry comes with chicken skin and is quite spicy Err yes, perhaps they should have told me that it would be garnished with flabby skin. But they didn't. It annoyed me that he tried to patronise me like that. I have spent many weeks in different parts of Thailand, and I never came across chicken skin curry after all.Everyone else declared their mains as delicious."

"I believe that Bombay Bites is one of the best Indian restaurants in London. I have ordered from them several times and each time the food has exceeded my expectations. I even had them cater for a business event I hosted and they received five stars from me. Their wide range of dishes are cooked to perfection and truly provide an authentic taste of Indian cuisine. I highly recommend Bombay Bites for dining in, take-out, or catering for events that require exceptional food."

"We visited the restaurant on Thursday, June 13th and were thoroughly impressed. The small and cozy staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They were able to accommodate my vegan partner, who often struggles to find suitable dishes at other restaurants. The staff went above and beyond to ensure she had a satisfying meal. The food itself was cooked perfectly, and I highly recommend the tandoori duck starter and the chicken Peshwari Special. The menu offered a wide variety of options to cater to every taste. We will definitely be returning."

"great food, friendly staff and decor. alana, great work, keep it up. we were great within seconds after the entrance of the door, they could even postpone our booking as we were early. starter came fast and tasted absolutely amazing. we couldn't blame them in the least. our net, that was the smetterling pad thai was also something I would recommend. perfectly dimensioned, tasted from this world and something I would order again and again. the only thing I was disappointed was not getting a cold, but my partner did. the puddings were also brilliant, the chocolate exploded with taste and really satisfied that sweet tooth I had demanded. all in all we loved our experience and felt that our server alana was 10 out of 10. she helped us in our order, had a brilliant presentation and offered us an amazing customer service. the only one I was not satisfied with was the service fee that was added without warning. there may have been signs that I did not see, but I only found out when I was flipped and said that this was added automatically."

"19:30 order food. Told will be delivered between 2035 and 2055. At 2000 I get text saying on its way. At 2020 I rang them and they said he is delivering to more than just you . So it will be cold then? I replied. The controller told me they are in heat boxes and it will be fine. At 2040 it was delivered. The poor delivery driver was wet through and cold, but still in high spirits. The meal was FANTASTIC! still hot and perfect in every way. I apologise for my rudeness on the phone to the controller. Order with confidence."

"Nepalese is a type of food I hadn't had before, but after having a Nepalese Lamb starter and two main dishes, at Rara, I'll be looking forward to having it again. We also had lamb as one of our mains, and saag paneer, which were both very good. The starter bordered on being too spicy, but stayed just within bounds for me. When the owner came to check on us, he may have judged our slow progress with the starter as a statement about the spiciness, and the second two dishes had no spice at all. So, when you go, I'd suggest specifying your pepper desires, which by all accounts they will be more than happy to satisfy. For whatever reason, when it came time for the our left-over boxes to be handed off, we were gifted a carton of fruit juice in our to-go bag?! Strange, but always welcome. Then when our transaction was completed, we were given four small bottles of Amarulo! Maybe they thought we were someone else, but I love Amarulo, so, again, very nice addition to a marvelous and relaxing meal sitting outside next to a quiet street scene in the middle of a neighborhood. Loved it."

"we only had a great experience at farmacy tonight! the most important courses we had, creamy coconut curry and falafel waffel, were perfectly prepared and presented, tasted amazing and had just the right portion size not too big and not too small. the chocolate brownie sundae was a perfect dessert, great for sharing with a loved one. the alkaline booster smoothie and digestive soothers were wonderful companions at the mealtimes. the atmosphere in the restaurant was pulsating and very friendly, and the staff had a special radiance to the maître d' rudy, which was super sweet and helpful. we will definitely be back when we are in town, it is the best restaurant experience we had in london!"
