"the food was good in bengal bertie’s in north finchley, but the restaurant urgently needs more staff, it was half an hour between our poppadoms and in the position to order the rest of the food. they were not busy in the restaurant itself there were only 2 other tables, but the constant stream of Takeaway calls meant that the waiter was constantly on the pone."

The area did not look very promising but was near where we had an appointment that evening. In the event the meal was excellent. We are all vegetarian and each dish tasted different, interesting, very fresh and most enjoyable. I would never have found this place without top table.

bengal bertie was a nice surprise, because although it wasn't busy, although it was a Saturday night, it was great to eat. the onion bhajees were the best we had tasted for a long time and the menu had some different things that were unusual. the service was attentive, but not pushy. all in a great evening and we will return.
