"I visited Umami with my partner and daugher in june 2024. The atmosphere was terrible and uncomfortable. The management treatment of staff was appalling, we observed verbal abuse towards waiters, who appeared terrified. Our table was surrounded by 2 waiters for the entire evening, making us feel uncomfortable. The food was was bland, with one dish, the paneer overly sweet, we couldn't eat it. I'm an Indian women and know how indian food should taste like. What they served at Umami was tastless and not quality food. Don't bother asking for a cocktail, because they don't know how to make them. My daughter had previously eaten there and had a the same experience, but we thought that might have been a one off incident, clearly not. I will never eat there again and will tell everyone to avoid going there, because how there treat they staff, like dirt and the standard of the food was not that great. Over priced for poir food. I'll say away and go somewhere else.x I"

"Very surprised to read some of the reviews from visitors at TigerBay Shisha and Carlton Lounge as we have always had excellent service and the food is some of the best Indian dishes we have had.We were seated inside the TigerBay Shisha Lounge however as this has open sides all round and even an open roof in warmer days or nights, we felt completely safe and COVID protected. The evening was very busy but had a great atmosphere and we didn’t feel cramped or as if we were too near to other customers. The music especially with the appearance of DJ Shraii gives something a little bit extra special than other venues.All members of staff wore face masks and we noticed they politely reminded any customers to use their masks when not seated at their tables.The food is always hot and you can hear the sizzle plates sizzling as the food is served. Portions are really generous and we usually find it hard choosing from all the delicious dishes on offer.The mocktails are especially good and the fruity versions topped with fresh and sweet fruit. We have not tried the Shisha varieties however talking to people we met last week, they said the choices are good and flavours excellent quality. So even without Shisha being available at the moment under Covid rules, TigerBay Shisha Lounge is a great venue.We are looking forward to spending many more summer evenings especially in the garden area which is beautifully filled with gorgeous plants and makes you feel you are on holiday and not just on an evening out.Keep doing what you do so well TigerBay Shisha and Carlton Lounge."

"The food at this restaurant is made fresh to order. The Dal could use a bit more salt, but it was still good when paired with rice. The standout aspect of this place is the excellent service. The host even went above and beyond to create a new mocktail for a colleague who did not like the Virgin Colada. The food may take a bit longer to be served since it is made to order, but it is definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend this restaurant for its exceptional service and fresh, made-to-order food."

"Used to be good, this time around we were served raw chicken and when I told them they proceeded to argue that the expert the chef said it was not. I pointed out the blood and pink bits of chicken but was no use as the expert didn’t agree. "What an absolute find! We happened on this restaurant while visiting Chelsea. TPH is an elegant restaurant featuring a wonderful balance of mainstream dishes with a sophisticated twist. A perfect example is the samosa appetizer. Light and fluffy on the inside and delicately crisp on the outside. This would have been great on it’s on own but was served with a chickpea stew combining a wonderful blend of herbs and spices that made it one of the best things I’ve eaten in quite some time. The menu features rich, textured curries, perfectly tender meats, fresh seafood and veggie dishes served by a gracious husband and wife team who truly care about your dining experience. All this and not while not putting a big dent in your pocketbook. We will definitely be back."

"Was looking for an authentic Indian restaurant in Wembley after travelling from the North of England, found the restaurant on google and chose to book it. I have to say Baarish Restaurant was amazing. The food was delicious and after having tried many Indian restaurants in central London, Baarish’s food definitely matches it. I had the butter chicken which was extremely flavourful, butter naan nice and soft and topped off with their mocktail Sunset which was delicious. The staff were very welcoming and even though the restaurant was quite busy everything was in order and service was excellent. All the staff very very attentive and friendly. The vibe of the restaurant was excellent very well designed giving the feel of India with the wood design. A perfect place to take a few pictures. Overall, I loved this restaurant and would choose it over places in the city as it delivered in every aspect perfectly. Will definitely be back. Thank you"

"The service is based on drinks as this was a buffetbooked this restaurant for a curry as it was the only one left on valentines night. "I attended Bollywood Junction last night or dinner for the first with some friends. The restaurant is quaint, and nicely decorated without going over the top. It was a lovely experience, and the ambiance was very welcoming and charming.The service throughout the evening was prompt and polite from the staff without being to overbearing. The menu provided was extensive with a variety of cuisines from the Chaat Counter to Indo Chinese and finally traditional Indian, at a very reasonable price. If you are a vegetarian, the vegetarian options on the menu are very impressive also. The Corriander Paneer we ordered as a starter, was the star of the show in my humble opinion, which was very moreish. We also ordered the small Mixed Grill and the Paani Poori which were also very delicious. I ordered the Lamb Bhuna for my main meal which was very flavoursome and the lamb was tender and cooked perfectly. All the food we ordered throughout the evening was excellent and tasty and the flavours were delicious and very well balanced. However beware the portion sizes are very generous so you may have to starve yourself for a few days before attending. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Milton Keynes, you won't be disappointed!!"

"To be very honest, my very first contact with the restaurant wasn't great, as I was refused the right to use the £25 that they took from my bank account (for an apparent and in effect no show booking to use against my bill when I was to eventually make a booking which left quite a bad taste in my mouth, as the person who I had been on the phone with lacked customer service skills and skill of negotiation and tact. I was close to taking it up with my bank but didn't need to in the end. Fast forward to manager emailing me to invite me to come and dine and for this to be used against my bill (the very thing I was trying to discuss and arrange with the person on the phone"

"There were about four appetizers and five curries, but only one choice for the curries. The fish was particularly delightful and we could order hot bread right at our table. A variety of sauces and dips for the poppadoms were also available, all of which were truly delicious. Each dish was replenished frequently and remained fresh despite the low turnout. However, the service from the staff was disappointing. It took quite a while for them to take our orders and the overall attentiveness was lacking, making it difficult to get their attention when we needed something. On a positive note, the interior of the restaurant was beautiful, modern, and felt clean and safe. "This is my go-to curry restaurant for delivery, but last night was my first dining experience there for a friend's farewell party. "Many moons ago when I worked in Slough a work colleague introduced me to this place. And there begun our love of the biryani and vegetable samosa. Ate here last night and although the vegetable samosa was excellent the biryani wasn't as good as normal. Rice looked like a longer grain but the flavour was also different. Please bring back the old biryani! This isn't the most conformable place. Designed to eat and go. More cafe style.....service is always OK. Don't go expecting Michelin starred food. It's also not like the high street Indian restaurants. This is traditional food.Will definitely return with high hopes of their 5 star biryani returning!"

There is plenty of parking close by, walking distance to Gateshead Metro Station. Walking distance to other good bars such as mircrobus and central for a drink before or after. Food wise, thick curry’s packed with flavour. Food is piping hot and glass window allows a peak into kitchen to see chefs preparing food. Manager added personal touch during visit which was nice whilst taking parents out."
