"First time to Asha’s, and it did not disappoint. Service was second to none, everyone was polite and smiled. However, could have been 5 stars if cocktails were tailored to requirements. Food was great, the desserts on the afternoon tea menu were too sweet and could have been choice of Indian desserts. Overall Asha lived up to the hype I expected and I will be back again."

"The portion sizes at Bnova are very small for the price, and only one person is responsible for taking orders. The dishes were not as flavorful as other restaurants in the area, and there is a mandatory 10% service charge for families of four. The music played from a small set of speakers was way too loud and had poor sound quality. Despite repeatedly asking for the volume to be turned down, our group still had trouble hearing each other. Overall, we will not be returning to Bnova."

"To my surprise, many restaurants are closed on Sunday evening in London. Every time I looked up a vegan restaurant on Happy Cow, it turned out it was closed. Since it was late and I was hungry, I had no other option than to select a vegetarian restaurant close by. 1947 Restaurant and Bar is both an Indian and Italian restaurant. The entire menu is vegetarian, however only around 20% is vegan. Many more meals can be made vegan, but so many of them had cheese listed as an ingredient that I didn 't want to run the risk. What if there 's an error in communication between the waitress and the kitchen? Or what if the chef accidentally adds cheese out of habit? I had lots of time to make up my mind, because even though the restaurant was very quiet it took a long time until the waitress came to take my order. I selected vegan biryani because I like biryani and because I 've tried it at so many restaurants that it 's easy to compare. It took a long time for the biryani to be prepared, but then it was served beautifully and smelled divine (as it should be). However, compared to other restaurants it 's a rather simple biryani. It has only one kind of rice (it is often served with both white and yellow rice) and only a few vegetables. There was no tofu, mushroom, potato, no nuts or any protein source. Also, the yoghurt was missing (which is used to extinguish the fire caused by the spices). The portion was generous and the taste was good. Although it was mentioned on the menu, 1947 Restaurant and Bar adds a 12.5% service tax. Why don 't restaurants just increase all prices on the menu instead of giving the customers a nasty surprise at the end?"

"Staff were welcoming and pleasant the restaurant was a good choice for a birthday celebration. Food was delicious well presented. Some of the starter dishes were a little hotter in spice than we were used to (samosa prawn) but were still tasty, so I’ll seek advice next time. Prices are higher end service charge is applied at 12.5%, but the overall with the outside terrace and ambience it made for a lovely meal experience."

"Went here on a group curry night and had such a great evening. I had booked online and got a courtesy call 2 days before to check all is good. When we arrived there was friendly staff who greeted us and showed us to our table where our drinks order was taken and was informed of 2 for 1 on cocktails till 19:30 which we took advantage of. The venue looks very authentic and you can see the chefs preparing the food. The food came out in good time despite it being very busy on our visit and came in good portion sizes. The food was so tasty and flavoursome and had the right amount of spice and not overdone on the chilli's. I would recommend booking for a Saturday night as was near capacity, but staff cope effortlessly and food was coming out in good time............I would definitely return here again."

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"first order the last night. service was exceptional to arrange food to be ready earlier than normal and so a beautiful person with whom we talked. I think this is a mother-daughter team and that we had for my mother when I felt it was something special. "We went to the borough market this evening in an attempt to have dinner but we arrived at 6 and didn't realize it closed at 5. There were some pubs open but we decided to look around for a restaurant and knew the Indian food in London is supposed to be good so we came here. The entrance is very easy to miss. It is near the London Bridge underground and you have to go down stairs. But when you get to the bottom, it is quite lovely (see pic). Very clean and had a nice bathroom as well. Taleb was our server and he was very nice and helped make recommendations. We had chicken in a cashew sauce, spinach with chickpeas, and the star of the show was Jhodpuri Aloo which were potatoes in a mango coconut curry sauce. Order them and get the large, not the side, because you will eat them! When the meal was over, we got some pistachio ice cream, and it was the perfect ending. Highly recommend!"

"We had an uncomfortable experience on Tuesday night(13th October) with the acting manager regarding the Early Bird discount. We booked online for 5:30pm having been tempted by an email from Babur. If we eat at 5:30pm they can sell the table twice. This discount was not honoured by the restaurant as we had not eaten enough food. We had poppadoms, 1 starter, 3 mains, 2 sides, 3 alcoholic drinks, naan. This is not the first time we have had difficulty understanding Babur's incentive emails. They have not honoured their offers to us on 2 previous occasions. This time we thought the acting manager had agree to adjusting the bill- we misunderstood him and no discount was forth coming. This is upsetting because the food at Babur is satisfactory. The management does not understand customer service."

Was told that we couldn't get a window seat as there were bookings for The waiters were friendly and surroundings nice. We chose a few Indian tapas dishes but were extremely disappointed at the portion sizes. Two or three small pieces of meat maximum per dish, uncleaned mussels (barnacles on the shells) and ALL the dishes were EXTREMELY salty, my other half thought this may be a ploy to get us to drink more. "Our group from the Eli-Kent Society in London visited 1580 after a day of golfing at Belfry on Friday. The team at 1580 accommodated all 32 of us without any impact on the quality of the food or service. Everyone was fantastic. The cocktail chef behind the bar was excellent as well. The signature 1580 dish was a standout. We wish we had taken more photos, but we will definitely be returning. Five stars for 1580!"
