"We went to the borough market this evening in an attempt to have dinner but we arrived at 6 and didn't realize it closed at 5. There were some pubs open but we decided to look around for a restaurant and knew the Indian food in London is supposed to be good so we came here. The entrance is very easy to miss. It is near the London Bridge underground and you have to go down stairs. But when you get to the bottom, it is quite lovely (see pic). Very clean and had a nice bathroom as well. Taleb was our server and he was very nice and helped make recommendations. We had chicken in a cashew sauce, spinach with chickpeas, and the star of the show was Jhodpuri Aloo which were potatoes in a mango coconut curry sauce. Order them and get the large, not the side, because you will eat them! When the meal was over, we got some pistachio ice cream, and it was the perfect ending. Highly recommend!"

One of the best Indian restaurants in London. The starters were great The main course was delicious It would've been better if they had dessert.

Great experience- very helpful staff including my waiter Sabbir. Had great paneer. Environment was lively but noisy on a Wednesday evening at 20:00. View menu

Delicious food, but I wish the portions had been bigger and that naan and rice had been included in the meal as they are in Indian restaurants in the U.S. It was a bit pricey. Juber was very nice.

When i say this is the best indian food i have ever had! the service was incredible and it was an adorable hole in the wall restaurant. we were in a rush eating it due to our own lack of time management and they were very kind about it. i wish we had time to sit and savor it because it was that good.

Simply wonderful food and experience. We stumbled upon this place wandering the Borough Market. It is difficult to find but seek it out. We had samosas to start and had tikka masala and Kashmiri Rogan Josh. Both were exceptional and the naan was freshly cooked. Even better we talked with the owner who was friendly and welcoming. We will be back! View menu

Hands down the best indian food I've had. It's a textbook hole in the wall because of it's location, literally an underground restaurant. The chicken tikka masala and the murug makhani are out of this world. The staff were very nice and helpful, Zahir was great. Check it out before everyone finds out about it and it gets too crowded to get a table!

Summary: Enjoyed the food here. Waitstaff was eventually very friendly--I think they were a bit stressed out with service just starting. Few standout details: Papadum was a bit different from what I am used to in the SFBA, where the flatbread is more grainy and the ground lentils are visible. All in all I liked the puffy and light texture. The combination naan basket was more than enough for two of us to sample each variation. Lastly, my favourite discovery of Onion Bhaji! Crisp and lovely, served with a tamarind chutney and aioli type white sauce. Note: If you're ordering the Bhaji, one plate is enough to share for two.
