"My third time in the morning. I stole my friend with me, as I told him, it's the best restaurant in London and it wasn't disappointed. Parmesan fritters were exceptional as usual, and the kitchen shared our sausage Ragu Pasta (which should die for), in two pots when we said we share everything. Friend asked if we could come monthly from now on to enjoy the changing menus! Best meal we ever had. Thank you very much! X"

"Bad food. Loooong wait both for drinks and food. Waiter (owner I was told) got 2 meals wrong. Brought calamari fritti for my husband and I which he never ordered in his life and I can 't stand them as they are like rubber in the UK so would never have ordered that. Waiter insisted I did, not once but 3x! My husband actually asked for whitebait! My husband ordered calf 's liver as a main which is soft and succulent in France, Germany and Greec etc. It was thin and like shoe leather. It is supposed to go into a hot pan, then turned over after a few seconds and taken out of pan served. This is what it should be like "A classic of British cooking, Calf 's Liver is succulently tender and fine grained with a deliciously mild, sweet flavour. More and more people are discovering the delicious flavour of Calf 's Liver due to its place on the menus.« I took it home to give to the dog and foxes!! My friend next to me (we were 13) ordered meatballs which were so salty she couldn 't eat them. Another lady didn 't like how the fish was done. It was mediocre. MY mussels had anorexia. I have photos. They were non existent or if there was one in the shell, it didn 't measure more than 5mm. 20 were empty and the sauce was not nice. Obvs they were not fresh mussels, they were cooked already and just heated up. Lots and lots of small broken shells in the sauce. Must have been the last dregs. Just as well I didn 't swallow one of the shards. Will I go back? No, I 'll go to a real Italian restaurant next time. Bragging about an Italian chef! He needs to go on a cookery course IN ITALY! I lived, ate and cooked there. I know what Italian food is supposed to taste like!!!!! And sooo expensive."

"the pint shop is highly valued in most magazines that they read about good restaurants in cambridge. we had an early booking at 18.30 a.m. and were the only ones in the restaurant and lacked in the atmosphere. since no one in the restaurant service was slow and most employees appeared aloof and uninterested, which did not give us the feeling of being desired. when the evening arrived at more people who improved the atmosphere somewhat. the saving gnade was eating that was excellent and I can't blame."

"We visit Aqua in Bromley on a fairly regular basis. The staff are always extremely welcoming especially Dasos. We ordered three meze boards and one steak which were all delicious, followed by Irish and Baileys coffees accompanied by Baileys Creme brûlée’s and a poached pear, everything was superb as always and we left having thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Hand sanitiser was readily available, tables were as per government guidelines, we had a screen in between our table and the next and everybody wore masks to go to the facilities. Well done Dasos and your team, keep up the good work"

"I have been to aqua on many occasions now.. first dates.. valentine's.. birthdays ... And on every occasion I have always been happy with the food, drinks and service ... If you visit on a Friday and a Saturday night the atmosphere is one of excitement and happyness.. I can today just for a lunch date as I knew it would be quiet ... The food was excellent and plentyfull as were the drinks.. as always I will be returned to my local goto restaurant."

"In 2016 the tea was splendid. This time it wasn’t. Both the gluten free and regular tea offerings were poor. My gluten free bread was dry and the few pastries were unimaginative. A bowl of berries, two pastries and three tiny scones, with a small pot of jam and clotted cream on a cake stand.The regular tea also had minimal choices. My expectations were high based on my previous visit. That time, the cake stand was full of delicious pastries and the service was superb. I mentioned this to our waiter when he asked if my visits were comparable. Our waiter was friendly, but didn’t offer to replenish our tea, forgot my wine and disappeared for at least 30 minutes towards the end. It was very disappointing, especially for a 5 star hotel. I do not recommend afternoon tea here and will not return."

"Terrible Experience Unkind Staff and Poor Service I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this bar and restaurant was so frustrating that I feel compelled to share. From the moment we walked in, the staff were unwelcoming and seemed irritated by our presence. It felt like we were an inconvenience to them rather than valued customers. Our server was rude and dismissive, barely paying attention to our requests and acting like we were wasting their time. When we asked simple questions about the menu, they responded with a condescending attitude, as if we were bothering them. The entire atmosphere was uncomfortable, with no warmth or friendliness from any of the staff. To make matters worse, the food took forever to arrive, and when it finally did, it was mediocre at best. Combine that with the rude service, and it was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I definitely won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant night out. There are plenty of other places where the staff actually care about their customers. Avoid this place if you want to enjoy your evening!"

"A lovely evening spent with friends at our favourite local pub. Starters of salt cod croquettes and scotch eggs went down beautifully and were followed by flat iron steaks and haunch of venison. All washed down with a delicious Pinot Noir. The bill was punchy but that was more to do with the wine we consumed than anything else. Service was fab, as always and the ambience perfect for a cosy, relaxed evening out."

"the other half for his birthday dinner. we went for the 2 curs and three course set menu on £15 and £18. it is valid from Monday to Thursday. that are definitely good value for money. for the head I had laughter and my man had superior to that. both were good, but I think the huh ran it tastefully. had the favorite for dessert, but I was so full that I could not appreciate it so much after the starter of parma ham and melons and the head. my other half had the white bait. I tried a piece, but it's not just my ding. he seemed to enjoy it. the no set menu has many choices, but is also pricier. the waiters were attentive, although the payment of the bill took a little longer than necessary, as it was not so busy. I will probably be back in the near future, but as I am a bargain hunter, will probably stay at the set menu"

"Lovely environment, perfect for celebrations of any kind. Food is really good, especially the Brasato which was stellar. Also I've seen that children are welcome. You won't see too many kids there, but nonetheless they are well accepted. There are flowers everywhere and art pieces that make the place look overall very interesting."

"We had a table for eight for Sunday lunch and decided to go with the set menu, which offered great value at £20 for three courses. There were four options for each course: starters, mains, and desserts. We started with calamari, spicy meatballs, and halloumi. For our main course, everyone chose the sirloin of beef, which was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and came with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, vegetables, and gravy. For dessert, we enjoyed a variety of options including chocolate brownie, Baileys crème brûlée, tiramisu, and panna cotta. The portion sizes were generous, and the drinks were reasonably priced. The restaurant was quite quiet, with only two other tables occupied, but it still had a pleasant atmosphere. The service was outstanding, with very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place!"

"Unfortunately, our experience at the restaurant was not great from beginning to end. Booking online was easy, but there was no description of the snug area. Our waitress seemed new and inexperienced, as she did not know about the available beers and only offered a wine list. She was friendly and kind but was not properly briefed on what was not available. It was disappointing that a gastro pub on a high street ran out of regular milk, making it impossible for us to enjoy coffee with regular milk. Various items on the menu were also unavailable. The food itself was disappointing - bland, stodgy, and tasteless. The tortellini was poorly cooked and the pan-fried sea bass was overcooked. Despite being offered the dessert menu twice, it never arrived until we had to ask for it. The duty manager did acknowledge the issues and deducted the cost of two drinks."

"Visited here for the bottomless brunch on a Saturday late afternoon. Food was really tasty and promptly arrived to the table. Our waitress was so lovely and was frequently coming to top up our drinks and check on us. Great social distancing measures in place. "The only thing good about our meal was the pudding! I am especially disappointed as I was taking 2 friends out as a belated anniversary meal. We arrived a little later than our 7pm slot as the place was so difficult to find. We thought we had actually walked into a club the music was so loud could hardly hear yourself think and none of us are exactly oldies!! It's not clearly indicated where the restaurant is so spent another 5 mins wandering around the ground and lower floor looking for it then asked someone behind the bar, really loudly ....twice (due to the volume of the music! we were grunted at and they pointed to a lift. We went upstairs and oh my god the music was even louder!! We were shown to the table and given the menu and told that they had run out of the Steak and Beef Rib options which left Vegetarian , Chicken Schnitzel or Hake none of which we particularly liked! How on earth can a restaurant run out of these dishes by 7pm in the evening is beyond me. Considering tables are pre booked, one would think they would have some idea and order their stock accordingly! We ordered the Hake which was ok but the samphire that accompanied it was awful...full of stalks and chewy, in other words, cheap and nasty which just about summed up this place. Would never go there again and would never recommend. I even spoke to the manager and complained and was met with complete indifference not bothered in the slightest! No wonder they are putting on these deals so cheaply, as the saying goes, if it seems to good to be true then it probably is! Avoid, avoid, avoid!"

"I have to say, having read Rachel Beck's review below, I did wonder if we went to different restaurants as our experiences couldn't have been more contrasting! My partner had reserved a table for my birthday as a surprise and had requested one on the balcony, however, was told that they couldn't guarantee it. When we arrived, we were greeted by the manager who was very friendly and a little excited to be able to offer a table on the balcony after all, knowing it was my birthday. The service was friendly, professional but fun, and in all honesty, totally faultless. The food was out of this world and very reasonably priced. I've eaten in many more expensive restaurants and not had as pleasant an experience. Nothing was too much of a problem and they even wrote a message on my desert plate and stuck a few candles in which was a nice touch. I've been going here for years for special occasions and have never had a bad experience, however, this evening was exceptional. Thank you so much "

"They were very busy, we had booked a table but the walk ins had made them too stretched. The food took ages, the service was poor. Not all of the food came out at the same time. I had to ask where our food was twice. They did apologise when I complained and they knocked some money off the bill but I think they need to think about the service and how shocking it was. They said they were caught out with the walk ins but if they are at capacity for booked customers, maybe they should say they are fully booked and give a good service to the diners they have. If you pay for a meal out as a family, it's a treat and this experience certainly didn't feel like a treat. Which is sad as I expect they can do much better if they have the right level of staff to customers."

"I was really disappointed with the menu during our recent visit. We have been to the farm shop numerous times over the years and it used to be one of our favorite restaurants. However, the entire menu has changed since our last visit, and now there’s very little choice. While the food we had was nice, we had made a reservation and still ended up feeling like we were stuck there, considering the lack of options. It’s unfortunate because our last experience was excellent, but now we're hesitant to return when we're in Bicester; we’ll likely try a different restaurant instead."
