"Secret Garden Cafe is a vegetarian cafe, adjoining a health food shop, with a lovely walled garden for sitting out in the sunny weather. The menu has vegan options, a specials board and there was a good selection of vegan cupcakes on the counter. I called in for breakfast with hubby and we both chose the vegan pancakes served with banana and maple syrup. I took some yogurt and cinnamon with me, although drizzled with maple syrup, the pancakes did not need it. The pancakes were so light and fluffy, I was quite jealous as mine are always quite dense, so I will be stealing chef's secret of using frothed Oatly barista oat milk to make the batter. The pancakes were absolutely scrumptious, with warm maple syrup, banana and two large decaf Americano coffees, making a perfect to start the weekend. Called again for lunch and we ordered sandwiches off the Christmas menu, A Bit Of Christmas which was no pigs in blanket, stuffing sprouts on a toastie with a pot of vegan gravy and Christmas in New York pastrami cheese sandwich. They were scrumptious, good sized portions full of flavour and I will be trying to make these at home. We had a quick chat with chef Louis and thanked him for the sandwiches, he is also famous for the best ever vegan carrot cake. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Secret Garden Cafe and will definitely again when next in Clitheroe. Updated from previous review on 2020-09-12"

"on the last day of my sister in Edinburgh and on the way to the airport I took her to visit this teeshop this morning at 10:00 a.m. as it did not seem to be open yet (although the working time of 10:00 is), we tapped easily to the door to win the attention of the people in the inner. what happened next, was a very young man with a long hair, obviously a worker this place, opens the door, blocks our way into us and cries us in a respectful and unfriendly way. he screamed a bit along the lines of not daring to touch the door again, we are not yet open and when we asked when will the load be open because we were on the way to the airport and wanted to buy a lot of tee gifts for our friends and family, he began to raise his voice again. he continued that you can only walk in when I tell you that you should go in, not touch the door that you are stunning ourselves to leave the door of the load we finally did. we usually don't leave any negative reviews, but that was a really unpleasant and embarrassing situation, especially because it was my guest in edinburgh and her experience was an amazing before this morning. before this situation I was a very loyal buyer in the jordantal teeladen and I had enjoyed many paintings the hospitality of an older and a very friendly person working there. However, the behaviour of the young man this morning was strange, least to say, and this is definitely not the way people should be treated where they want to spend their money. for all the above reasons I will not buy a tee in this shop anymore. the purpose of this review was to warn others how disrespectful they are and recommend to go into another tee business."
