"booked here for dinner and we sat upstairs. we asked how many beak plates we should order and 3-4 per person was the advice, we have ordered 3 plus zatar brot each. everything tasted amazing, but the tabouleh and iceless kookoo and the brokkoli were absolutely hanging out for me. the brot was also delicious. 3 records were for us definitiw enough. we had also mocktails that were nice. the staff was nice, especially when I killed my glass and broke it. oh, my God!"

"This place is ALWAYS busy so be prepared to be in a noisy environment. If you don't mind that, their service is usually great, swift and unless you go at peak weekend times, you can usually get a seat. The food is pretty good. I love taking the banana bread or one of the sandwiches. Coffee is just ok, I wouldn't say it's brilliant. Overall really like this place, but would love if they had more space for it to feel less crowded and improved the coffee!"

"I made a reservation a while ago after looking at the menu online. Upon arrival, we enjoyed a drink in the courtyard which was the highlight of the evening. The outdoor space was lovely and the drinks from the bar were delicious. We were then seated in the dining room, which had apparently been changed to a "Bistro." The menu had completely changed since I booked and our waitress mentioned that other customers had also noticed this. The menu now had a bistro-style theme, as the name suggests. We ordered the crab linguine which had very little crab meat and was served with spaghetti, which was disappointing. The steak was cooked poorly and was chewy and of poor quality. Overall, it was a disappointing start to our evening. Unfortunately, we didn't even return for drinks in the pub as we felt that the dining experience had left a bad taste in our mouths. The young waitresses were pleasant and tried their best, but it seems like this restaurant isn't quite sure what it wants to be."

"It 's a nice place with a good atmosphere, I like the decor and the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. It 's great they have separate Gluten-free and Vegan menus as well as dishes that cross over both. Purely on service this would be a 5 star review, unfortunately the food, especially the main corses really let in down and with the price, it was hard to shift the disappointment. I spent just under £100 on two adults and one child (including the service charge automatically added on We had tapas and two mains which just about filled us as the portions are on the smaller side. The tapas was definitely better than the mains but in my opinion, unfortunately still unimaginative, underwhelming and overpriced. The edamame and tofu was quite nice along with the falafel, the fish cakes were tasty but the rest was pretty forgettable. The gin was delicious though, washed it all down a treat, go for the gin. The mains were just confusing. The seabass was nice but the chips that came with it seemed undercooked and bland. The pan fried chicken on coleslaw was strange, it didn 't go down well, we all tried some but just ended up picking the chicken off and leaving the rest. Chicken on coleslaw with peanuts for £17.50 that 's one to go back to the drawing board in my opinion. (I make no apologies for awful puns or honest reviews. I went in to check it out as i was going to book a table for my birthday because of the different menu 's and options but i think it 's best to stick to drinks there and tapas if I 'm particularly peckish but i wouldn 't go out of my way to go to eat there again."

"Service awful need to train your workers. Been here a few times and customer service going down hill fast. The young blonde girl behind the bar clearly stressed didn't greet us just asked us to wait outside for 10 minutes despite downstairs not being busy and had three empty tables. Then after 15 minutes we were sat at one of those tables but it hadn't been cleaned. We then sat there for 30 more minutes while she ran around taking single drinks orders with no service or communication whatsoever. There was a family 2 parents with three kids occupying the two large middle tables with the youngest being allowed to freely walk on the table surfaces. As we walked out the young girl behind the bar didn't even apologise or acknowledge us. Awful experience with poor trained staff"

"Not a vegan not a vegetarian and no allergies. To be honest on arrival the menu scared me to death not really being sure what everything was. I orderred and as i saw food coming out looking stunning. My dish did not disappoint either, looking very healthy and ooozing flavour. Great welcome and engaging staff. Watching the chef work was great to the care and concentration was obvious. If you happen to be in Godshill and fancy treating yourself, just plump for anything on the menu. It will be georgeous and tasty. Over the moon i gave it a try!!!"

"Very disappointed. Booked a table for two for a Birthday breakfast. Service slow. Food was ok coffee cold. Our plates were swiftly removed as soon as we had eaten by staff lacking in basic manners. We were never asked if everything was ok with our meal or if we would like to order anything else. Then despite not asking for the bill it was slapped down on the table and we were told they needed our table immediately. Very rude! We felt very uncomfortable and were glad to leave. "we had lunch because they like to have dogs. there were some colorful locals with a Sunday spider. the lunch was great overall. good quality and generous. the bratkartoffeln were a highlight that was obviously cooked with butter. it is an old gas house, so it is not big, bright and breezy. but it has character in bucketloads. happy, friendly team has been looking after us."

"Excellent quality of food and drink in very comfortable surroundings with a joyful and friendly service to match. It is quite refreshing to experience a setting where there is much laughter and camaraderie between the staff members (and with myself too), and nothing was too much trouble for the staff to meet our requirements. The 3 course meal and drinks cost £74.50 which we thought was excellent value since cocktails and liquor coffee were purchased as well. Well recommended. "We went to have our Sunday dinner at Olivers today. We often go there for food or the sister pub the Lion in Brinsley. This is hands down one of the best roast dinners you will have. We've been coming here for years now for the food but also for the live entertainment and drinks. They work really hard to provide a broad spectrum of entertainment and it's always a great night out at the weekend. The bar staff are great and today we were served by a really lovely lady who couldn't have been more friendly. Just as an extra today we ate for free. We live local and our house had been damaged by the flood. The owner not only came and helped us local residents with our homes but then fed us all for free, which speaks to the kind of people who run Oliver's. So if you want a beautiful meal friendly staff and a real community feel with people who are passionate about what they do, then this is the place for you. Top tip, try the pork belly bites. You won't be disappointed."

"I enjoyed a bottomless brunch with a group of friends as part of our Christmas celebration. The drink selection was excellent, and they continuously refilled our glasses, always asking us first and keeping us informed about the timing. "Today we stopped in Lynton to wait for the rain to go away so we can visit The Valley of Rocks. We randomly saw this little place and saw they had some spaces left so we thought, why not to try it! Menu was large to choose from. We chose to eat Meze which we love from the Greek Islands and I must say they didn't disappoint. The food was delicious, full of flavour and filled us up until the following day! The bartender/waitress was lovely, quick to serve us even though it had been busy. Mocha was absolutely delicious as well not many places can make it how it should be made so I was over the moon. My partner had a salted caramel milkshake and it was one of the best milkshakes he had. Full of flavour and it actually tasted like salted caramel!! Apple juice was amazing too. Thanks again. Would highly recommend! And I noticed it is a dog friendly place!"

"We have been going to this coffee shop since before Covid each Sunday morning for breakfast. We have found in the last year food cleanliness has deteriorated on a weekly basis. It has now come to the point where sadly we will have to find another establishment to enjoy our Sunday breakfast. The cloth chairs can only be described as filthy and we are constantly having to change cups and cutlery due to them not having been washed properly. The scones are more like pancakes in their shape and to be honest on some days you could break a window with them. We have had to return muffins that we couldn’t cut with a knife due to them being stale.It saddens us to have to write this review as we have become very fond of our Sunday visits but we are not complainers and have bared with things for over six months now and just can’t continue to give our custom anymore."

"I recently visited the Black Horse in Endon for lunch with my sister and had an excellent experience. I ordered the pan-fried chicken for my main course, followed by cheesecake for dessert. The food, service, and atmosphere were all fabulous - I would rate it a ten out of ten. I couldn't find any faults with anything. Gina, the owner, is very passionate about the pub business and works hard to create the best experience for her customers. The waitress was also very pleasant and excellent at her job, making us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend the Black Horse in Endon and can't wait to return again. Thank you for a perfect lunch. The parking was easy as well."
