"The hotel is understated and beautiful, the dining area on the top floor exquisite. The food, whilst plentiful and tasty lacks a classic feel to some of the dishes. The Chef has a tendency to put Olive Oil in and on everything, which is strange. Butternut squash soup (previous had and delicious), is now served with the bread already added (not on side), soggy and the oil swirled all over. When pointed out to the server, was told it’s always like this and the point argued. Not believing that we had the same dish a few week prior and it was perfect. A lack of attention to customer as the evening worn on, hard to get attention or dessert menu. Thank goodness we were not in a hurry. Overall, despite the food hitches and staff that need more training, the Clearmont is beautiful and classy and a great stop to meet friends and relax."

This restaurant is a nice place with decent service and good food, although my steak was cooked medium instead of medium rare. The value is good, especially with a fork, and I would consider returning, but I would avoid ordering the steak next time.

The location is fantastic, the hotel is amazing, and the restaurant is also top-notch. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and served in generous portions. The service was exceptional, despite our large group which included two toddlers. The staff were very accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A beautiful interior to the hotel entrance and the restaurant itself and the general ambience was very good... not too loud so we could talk easily and it was a very nice touch with the special birthday cake given to my mother at the end for her 80th Birthday on her special day! I took my boyfriend here for a birthday lunch. We both had an amazing experience. Everything was perfect, more than we expected. The staff were completely lovely and the food was tasty. The restaurant even surprised us with complimentary cake and a few members of staff singing the ‘Happy Birthday’ song to him. Furthermore, the interior of the hotel is beautiful, we cannot really describe how fantastic the architecture and finish was inside.

We booked a family lunch for 4 as a celebration for my daughter’s graduation and we had an amazing experience. We initially arrived about an hour early, and this was not a problem for the staff at all. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, as well as the calming atmosphere in the restaurant. Our food was delicious, with the presentation and flavours of the desserts being a highlight.
