"What can only be described as a complete mess. We had made a reservation for a birthday dinner, drawn in by their special offer of 50% off food to showcase a new chef. Based on my overall experience: the venue had a lovely vibe, but it was extremely cold—warmer outside than inside. We asked the waitress to address the temperature issue, but nothing happened. The staff seemed unsure of their roles; even with so many of them, it took us 30 minutes to receive a drinks menu, and we waited forever for our drinks to arrive. The only beverage menus available were for wine and cocktails. The waitress couldn't tell us which dishes contained dairy—there were only about eight starters and main courses to choose from. When I ordered the fillet steak, she didn’t even ask how I wanted it cooked! Clearly, they need some training. Now, onto the food—what a disaster. Everything was drenched in salt. For starters, we had octopus and burrata, both of which were excessively salty. The octopus was overcooked, burnt, and served cold. For the main course, I ordered the fillet steak, which came out rare instead of medium-rare as I had requested. It was also cold and salty. We also had sea bass and cod, both of which were served cold and salty. The steamed vegetables were cold as well. When we asked for warm vegetables, they simply microwaved them and sent them back. By this point, we were really disappointed with the cold, salty, and overcooked food. We informed the waitress, and the manager came over, insisting that all the food would be recooked. No surprise—the food returned on a warm plate but was still lukewarm and salty. What a shambles. Considering this was meant to showcase a new chef, it was pretty terrible. All we were offered was a round of free drinks, though I wasn’t even drinking. The staff was lackluster and seemingly busy doing nothing. Overall, the food was quite awful, especially for a 5-star hotel. I can say with certainty that we won't be returning."
