"Cons: There were a few instances during food service where the bar was unattended, leaving guests waiting for drinks while food was being served or barrels were being changed. I had to use my phone for music, which would have been fine if I had known in advance so I could have prepared playlists to avoid guests taking over the music selection. At the end of the night, some employees felt the closing was rushed, and I would have expected a better gin selection for a place called the Gin Parlour (only two options available). Despite these issues, they can be easily addressed, and I would definitely book this place again for a business networking event. Florencia is a valuable asset to this pub."

"I had recently enjoyed going for high tee with a Twist-a van gogh inspired masterpiece! the ambiente des rosenholz was majestic and luxurious, and the great selection at tees enjoyed my chai-loving soul no limits! the delicious selection of sweets and savouries were all visually beautiful to see that pleasing as well as the taste buds (although some parts for my taste might have been a bit sweet.) the piece of resistance was the last cure that mirrored some of the most famous works of van gogh, including the stary night. overall I recommend this high tea experience for art lovers, or just anyone who wants a bit of a Posh look!"

"I had the orange fondant blood orange sorbet for dessert was expecting an orange posset type dessert. It was actually a chocolate orange fondant pudding which isn't clearly stated. Perfect for a chocolate lover but not for me unfortunately. First two courses delicious mind overall a wonderful evening."

"We had a reservation for 1 PM and arrived a few minutes early. Although the lights were on, the doors were locked. We entered through the hotel entrance and found an inner door where we could see a man at the bar. I knocked, but he didn’t acknowledge us. I knocked again and informed him that we had a reservation. He told us he wasn’t ready yet. At this point, it was around 1:05 PM, and the pub was supposed to open at noon. He left us waiting outside and didn’t even let us in to sit down. Frustrated, we decided to leave and look for another place. Just as we were exiting the garden area around 1:10 PM, the man opened the doors and gestured for us to come in. I told him that I had never encountered such poor service, mentioned our reservation, and noted that we had two children with us. He claimed he wasn’t aware of any booking. Regardless, he should have let us in when I stated we had a reservation. His response that he wasn’t ready was incredibly rude and unprofessional."

"The service was also lacking; the waiting staff seemed inexperienced and could have benefited from additional training. Their uniforms were a disheveled ochre color that looked unappealing, and the plates we were served on were not very clean. After waiting an unreasonable amount of time for the bill, the staff did not even bother to offer any compensation for the missing main course. Overall, I cannot recommend this place."

"We were seated promptly, but had to wait for our menus to arrive. After ordering, there was a significant wait for our food and our appetizers arrived at the same time as our main course, resulting in a table full of cold food. Overall, we were not very impressed with the service. The food itself was good, but it would have been better as an appetizer before our main meal. "This restaurant is a definite one to miss, I had to write this review to let other diner's know how bad our experience was, Working in Highgate we decided to go for dinner and booked a table for 3 of us. First we ordered some starters which were worse than average at a high price and leaving one part of the starter off until we pointed it out. For our main course we ordered the special which was Seafood Pasta, when it came it was almost cold and smaller than a child's portion with the mussels also cold and have no taste, this dish was £14.95 I pointed all this out to the manager and he apologised without doing anything about it at all. The most annoying thing of all is when i asked for the bill, which was over £90 nothing was said so i paid under duress and felt that we were really badly ripped off. I have heard many bad reviews about Ostuni and now i know why. The whole meal was disgusting and cannot recommend anybody ever trying it there."

He found the batter quite oily/greasy which he did not eat but consequently that had left the chips underneath soggy. My fish was nicely cooked. I was also upset to see that several of the courses had a supplement and therefore not offered in the choices unless an extra cost was incurred which further limited the already limited menu. The wine was also very pricey. I felt the for people sounded a good deal which included a bottle of house wine although the house wine was not advertised as an option to purchase. We chose not to eat in the restaurant on the second night"

"had a nice family dinner with good choices for all including a child and a vegetarian. the two veggie burger options were great, haggis nachos fab and the salmon salad plentiful. the chips were excellent! only slightly left off was the pizza that had a little heavy base for our lust. beautiful clean toilets and covid safe with lots of space between tables. staff efficient and friendly! would definitely return and recommend everyone."

"We are from Los Angeles visiting relatives and we booked a High Tea. Initially, we were served with nice friendly service as we sat down and placed our order. After that not one server even came back to ask if we needed refill with teas or water. While the three tables around were served with three times and they are all Caucasians. We are Asians. Please tell me there is no discrimination here in UK. Even after I had to flag down a server and her mannerisms were not quite friendly. This gave me a very bad impression with a restaurant like this."

"We had a last-minute family gathering and were pleasantly surprised by the great service at this restaurant! We needed a place where both children and adults could enjoy themselves, and we were given a private room next to the bar that easily accommodated all of us. The bar staff were fantastic, showing the children how to play shuffleboard and guiding them to the board games. They were very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Nick, the bartender, was especially charming. We appreciate the hard work of everyone at the restaurant who always exceed expectations to make guests feel welcome. We will definitely be returning in the future!"

"we were often here a lot, but after it was renovated, we returned and the old staff was no longer there and the service was a bit slow and I had served my pasta dish almost cold when it was hot. when we went back after a few months, it was a Saturday night and there were 3 waiting staff, service was very slow and not as friendly as before, but their choice of mozzarellas are still amazing, therefore we go back. the food is freshly cooked, but there is no atmosphere and as I said, service is hit and miss. pity, will try another two."

"I Visited here on valentine’s day with a couple of my girlfriends, after wanting to come here for soooo long and always hearing about it. Before attending I read a number of reviews and saw that one of the things that brought this restaurant down was their service and I can say this is very true. Firstly the waitress got my drinks order wrong and it took them a while to replace it even though my friends were on their second cocktails. Secondly me and my friend ordered the same thing. My friend with sweet potato fries and I ordered normal fries. Both came with sweet potato fries. I immediately told the waiter that I ordered normal chips and he said he’ll bring them right out. He never did and I never saw him again. To be fair I think he worked in the kitchen and isn’t really on the front scene. Our main waiter looked extremely tired and over worked. If he could fall asleep on the spot he would’ve. You can tell these waiters/waitresses work very long hours. On a positive note the food and atmosphere was amazing. They had a dj (wasn’t too sure if it was due to the occasion) but that was a bonus. On a whole this restaurant has potential but the service lets it down tremendously. Saying that though I would visit here again."

"It was so loud and hectic. Kids running around everywhere and going on the mezzanine (a Saturday night) We had to try for a long while to get out waiters attention even though the restaurant wasn’t too full. Clearly they were much more focused on a big table than the one for two. I reserved because I was eager to try their Veganuary menu (since they have reduced their vegan options considerably over the past two years) but was told they only serve it Mon-Fri which wasn’t specified on their website. Very disappointed as this was one of my favourite local spots."
