"What a nice experience tonight! Unfortunately I am away for work during valentines day. Oblivious until I realised that would mean me dining alone on a celebrated night for couples. AWKWARD! Put on my big girl pants and headed to the closest Pizza express (club app is awesome- lots of discounts if you are a fan) because its a easy favourite. Had a laugh with the staff regarding my table for 1 situation. Food perfect- classic pizza express quality. Service was great and attentive and everything as needed, with all requests met with happiness. Asked for a takeaway dessert as Its nice to have a sneaky treat before bed.... but mid snack I realised this was the note the server gave me..... how lovely. We had a giggle on my awkward dining experience, we talked about how being women it's always difficult being out dining alone. But this blew me away! So Niesa (hope this is the right name) thank you for supporting the lady on table 27 at approx 8pm. You are wonderful, thoughtful and a great champion of the pizza express brand! Hope they reward you well for the exceptional service. Happy valentines day!"

"This establishment has a great selection on the menu. On entering the premises, one can see through the semi open plan kitchen with two neatly dressed ethnic chefs preparing food in specially designed uniforms. The place looked clean and the staff very amicable and friendly. The food taste absolutely great and the portions are generous. The owner is extremely courteous and always asks for comments about their food and service. We have been using the delivery service for several years and has absolutely no qualms about the quality and service."

"Located in a lovely spot across from the city square and guildhall, this small Pizza Express was a bit disappointing. It took a while to be seated as I waited for someone to acknowledge me. The lone waitress was clearly overwhelmed and lacked support, so I couldn't fault her for the slow service. Opting for takeaway, I had to wait again to place my order and struggled to get the waitress's attention, with no offer for a drink. Dealing with some intoxicated customers didn't help either. I ordered the giadinera with regular mozzarella to go. It seemed like Pizza Hut had instructed to skimp on ingredients. The only decent portion was the artichokes. The tomato sauce was scarce, and the excessive raw onion overpowered everything by smell and taste. I had to remove a lot of it sadly. The amount of mozzarella was lacking, and the base wasn't crispy. It's a shame as they used to be so good and were the true taste of Italy in the UK."

"the drinks are sensational. I had the mango desire fruit drink. they put a piece passion fruit in the drink made it tasty that much more refreshing and sweeter the pizza was good that I eggs and spinat had an unusual combination, but from the waiter recommendation that she paid. the other pizza ground spicy beef was good, but really oily. they don't get the Palentaries they're disgusting. doughballs were amazing. calamari was so soft and well cooked."

"WHAT I LOVED Service Pretty good! I came in and got my pizza within 20 min. I told them I was in a hurry and they still made the effort to seat me straight away. The waitress was also very good at explaining the menu, and I appreciated her patience with my questions. Location Very convenient to Stanmore Station, located right on the Broadqay about a 3 minute walk away. Food Pizza is pretty decent. Great portion sizes, quality food, good selection. I ordered the Padana pizza with goats cheese, mozzarella, spinach, red caramelised onions, garlic oil. It was fantastic but on the thinner side. Also, if you 're American, be sure to ask for chilis vs crushed red pepper or they may not know what you 're talking about. Drinks wise, they also do Prosecco for a very good price, £4 6 can 't remember exactly but it was one of the best prices I 'd seen in London. Decor/Ambience This was probably the highlight for me. First of all, the restaurant is very spacious and laid out perfectly. The vibe is a real pizzeria and the hard word floors add to the wood fired feel. The kitchen has an open plan so you can easily see your pizza being cooked up. There 's also a nice selection of booths for a more cozy and comfortable dinner with friends or family. OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH Prices They 're alright. Would be nice if they offered things like NHS discounts or military etc as Nandos does, or else drop their overall meal price point by £1 2 or so. Would probably be willing to eat there more often. Enjoy guys xx"

"Oh dear. Oh my word. This was my worst Pizza Express experience ever: and I’ve been going to Pizza Express since 1988. Honestly, no joke, it’s the worst pizza I’ve ever had. This franchise, which I have sponsored over many years, has recently been taken over by another family. The new family are yet to master the art of pizza making and also the art of customer interaction (the constant sniffing of my server was off putting, bordering comic. I’ve had the same pizza for 35 years: American with extra mushrooms, if it ain’t broken etc. Well this bad boy was well and truly broken. 3 hours post meal it’s sitting, rather uncomfortably, in the pit of my stomach. My two kids, unprompted, feel the same. Actually, I’m gutted. It’s like being let down by an old friend. Out of loyalty, I will give the new family another chance, perhaps let them get accustomed to the oven and ingredients, perhaps a couple months will help. God, I hope so."

"We attended your marina pizza express on Monday 29th July and felt so unhappy with the level of service I needed to flag it. We were a table of 4 with one child and were offered any table as it was so quiet. There were a number of waiting staff and ours took our order. The starters came quickly and were fine. We then waited for our mains with our used plates in front of us. We waited a significant amount of time ~30mins) until we started looking around and noticed no chefs were visible, nor cooking anything. We eventually got the attention of another waitress and asked when our mains would be ready. It was obvious they hadn’t put our order through as there was a flurry of activity at the till and the looks on their faces said it all. They didn’t acknowledge or apologise for the delay, nor did they explain what had happened. They informed us the pizzas would be with us in 3 minutes when it took a further 10. It took a couple of minutes for the chefs to reappear. Waiting ~40 mins for a pizza is ridiculous, especially it being so quiet, with a hungry child and when there were 2 chefs and 3-4 waiting staff. The pizzas came and they were nice, but the customer service let the whole experience down. We asked for the bill which we received and our waitress disappeared again. We then saw her chatting to her colleague. We had to ask a blond waitress from another area to help us to pay. Our waitress returned but without the payment machine, so she left again. Tbh, we couldn’t leave fast enough. There was no excuse for such awful and inattentive service. No checks to see if we were happy with the food, no smile from our waitress and a complete disregard to good customer service. In the current climate, great customer service pulls you back in. I assure you, I will be avoiding your restaurant from now on."

"Last Wednesday, me and my family and a dear friend visited to have pizza together. The restaurant was clean, and it was welcoming. The service was great- the food was delicious, (we had fajita pizza! It was so good) and the kids had a great time. The staff here were friendly, and we were really impressed. Can I just say how pleased we were with Rosa! She is a lovely, genuine and warm lady. She made us feel happy and welcome and we had some laughs! "We were staying at the Premier Inn overnight to go to the theatre and were in a bit of a rush so needed somewhere close for dinner where service was likely to be quick, Pizza Express seemed to fit the bill. It was very quiet when we arrived (but it was early in the evening on a weekday) and it is much larger than it appears from outside with plenty of space between tables. We were quickly shown to a table, then within a few minutes our wine and pizza orders were taken. When they arrived the pizzas seemed better than we remembered from previous visits to Pizza Express a lot more topping. An nice meal in a comfortable environment which allowed us to get to the theatre in time for a drink before the play started."

"A really nice building with a well done interior, especially for pizza express. The service was quick even though there were eight of us, the waiter was the best and I've ever had with some fantastic humour. The food was relatively good quality, I had the meats sharing plate for starter and gelato for dessert. Its a pizza express, you get what you expect. I am dropping one star because of the melted ice cream that was served to me for dessert and them putting the mains down before collecting starter plates. All in all, really enjoyable, makes it a good pizza express for the building and the waiter we had."

"My friend usually calls ahead to place an order for pickup at this restaurant, but this time he was told to use the app or website instead. He found this unusual, but complied. We were then notified that our order was ready, so we went to pick it up, which wasn't far from our location. However, we still had to wait for 10 minutes. While waiting, I observed the waitress speaking to the staff in a disrespectful manner, and noticed that the staff seemed unhappy. When we finally got our food and opened the pizza box, my pizza was cold, not even lukewarm – it was completely cold. In contrast, my friend's lasagna was piping hot. It was clear that they had mixed up the timings and my pizza had been left sitting there to get cold. I would have been better off making a simple DIY pizza at home – warming up a tortilla, adding some sauce and herbs. I paid £16.40 for a cold and flavorless pizza that wasn't even topped correctly – I received vegan chicken instead of vegan mince."

"As a family we love Pizza Express and regularly visit our local Cribbs Causway restaurant. We booked a table for the family to celebrate my Son's 6th birthday and as always the food was delicious but more importantly it was couple with exceptional service from Gabriel. He was attentive, authentic and couldn't do enough to make our evening an enjoyable one. Even when my son found out there was no chocolate sauce for his dough ball pudding, Gabriel came to the rescue! As always we'll be back and I hope Gabriel is working every time we are! :"
