"As for the menu, they had already run out of several options, leaving us with just a single option of salad, which was unacceptable. We had come for a Christmas dinner with friends and were left with no choice but to order sandwiches. The staff was limited, and many were more focused on their phones or chatting than taking orders or serving food. This led to long waits for our orders to be taken, for the food to arrive, and we had no additional table service throughout our visit. To make matters worse, one person in our group received her sandwich after everyone else had finished eating, despite our orders being placed simultaneously and us following up with the staff multiple times. When her order finally arrived, it was incorrect and missing key ingredients as described on the menu. We were told that the sandwich would be removed from our bill, but when the bill came, it was still there, requiring us to complain again for it to be taken off. Adding insult to injury, a service charge had been included in our bill. I voiced my discontent and explained that, given our experience, we wouldn't be paying that charge in full, but there was no acknowledgment from the staff. Instead, the waiter just laughed and agreed that he understood why we didn't want to pay it, which felt utterly inappropriate. As we were leaving, we encountered a particularly unhelpful and rude waitress, who turned out to be the manager. She approached us to offer a complimentary bottle of Prosecco for our next visit, but I doubt that would have ever been honored. It felt more like a pathetic attempt to placate us rather than a genuine offer. Overall, it was too little, too late. I plan to send a formal complaint to the brewery that owns this pub, as this entire experience was truly embarrassing. I have no intention of returning."

"I took my team to Jewel for cocktails after some initial food and drinks in Waxy O 'connors which is a just around the corner. We arrived at around 7pm and had the standard security checks before we entered. There were 14 of us in total so I was pleasantly surprised (as I was picking up the tab) when we found out that it was 241 on cocktails until 8pm so we managed to squeeze in a couple of rounds before the promotion ended. The bar team were polite enough and patient as they dealt with one big round after another. The venue is quite small with minimal seating but is dark classy with the music being upbeat and perfect for our occasion. In terms of negatives it was a little frustrating that they add service charge to every drinks order then claim that they were unable to remove it. We are familiar with Zonal and Aztec systems so a few members of the team felt it unnecessary especially as we were already tipping with cash, I 'm sure service charge is supposed to be optional but there you go. The only other thing that stopped it being a 4* review is that when we were leaving our team exited the venue in small groups so to ensure that everyone had left I asked if I could re-enter to double check that nobody had been left behind. Unfortunately the doorman requested I pay a £10 entrance fee. When I suggested that we had already been in and spent a few quid at the bar (Only about £300 or so, so not huge amounts) he quipped that I could afford another £10 then needless to say that I didn 't pay it however it was a shame to end it on that note. Overall the team enjoyed the visit, made the most of the dancers cage and had a decent experience in this beautiful little bar right in the heart of London."
