"At our table, we noticed that the adjacent table received STK's signature bread right away, while we hadn’t even been offered any. After ordering drinks, we waited about 10 minutes before our waiter came over to ask how everything was. My husband mentioned that we were still waiting for our drinks, which arrived shortly after he asked. We ordered our meals, and my husband chose the calamari starter, which was impressively large. We both opted for steaks. As we were enjoying our conversation, another couple seated nearby received their bread and dip almost immediately. This made me wonder if we had been forgotten, so I asked a staff member if we had missed out on something.... we were indeed overlooked, but thankfully the bread came shortly after. Once our food was finally ready, it was delivered by a different waiter (a runner) to a table next to us and just left there instead of being brought to us. After a while, we managed to get another waiter’s attention to bring our food over. When our meals did arrive, they were quite nice. The asparagus was good, and the truffle fries were delightful—hard to go wrong with deep-fried fries, really. After finishing our meals, we had empty plates in front of us for about 20 minutes. I wanted to order a warm cookie, but at that point, I had lost interest in what was meant to be a special meal, and we just wanted to return to our suite. When we finally asked for the bill, it seemed they were aware we weren't completely satisfied. The bill was £140 after a discount (I had opted out of the optional service fee of £17.50), but we were actually charged £152. I didn't bother to argue about it. For a restaurant that prides itself on its service, we expected much better."

"Chose this for an early supper before the Theatre based on reviews and it didn't disappoint. We arrived early which wasn't a problem and sat in the window booth. Lovely food and staff friendly and attentive. The nachos we shared as a starter weren't as nice as I had hoped, but everything else was delicious. Very busy when we left at 7 so best to book."

"Went for a birthday dinner. The tomahawk steak was well cooked medium to medium rare in the center although i can't say its the best steak I've had in London. The waiter we had was friendly and attentive but a server spilled some drinks as he was bringing them to the table. They spilled over some of our things and on one of the people in our party and the server didn't seem too bothered or apologetic. He offered to get replacements which was the least he could do but they weren't taken off the bill as a gesture or anything. We didn't let it ruin our evening but it wss a shame the service and overall experience didn't live up to expectations."

"First visited this restaurant in the mid 70s, when it was brilliant. Since then it's had it's ups and downs, but now it's back to its best. The food was excellent okay one meal came with fries not wedges but we didn't mind), burgers can be tweaked without being made to feel a nuisance, atmosphere was good and the music at the right level and era. Staff were busy but helpful. Had a really good lunch main course only) and was in and out in an hour."

"Right next to the castle entrance. Great place to take a break after sightseeing. The bar is upstairs and got a little den area for extra seatings with a great view of the cobblestone street castle. £1 oyster during happy hour 3-6pm daily. Whisky tasting, a happy hour menu with generous portions. Pricing is very reasonable given its prime location setting. A value especially if you could take advantage of the happy hours. Service was very attentive as well. We were a group of 5 adults 2 kids."

"The reception desk on the ground floor was unattended, so we walked up a flight of stairs to the bar where the staff seemed surprised to see us. After finally being seated, the service was acceptable but not worth the high prices. The menu was extremely limited, with only seven main dishes to choose from, one of which was fish and chips - not what we were expecting for a fine dining experience. The lobster and steak were overpriced. While nothing we ate was bad, nothing stood out as exceptional either, especially considering the prices. Overall, this was one of the least memorable meals we had during our week in Edinburgh. With so many other great dining options in Old Town, I would not recommend Victor Carina Contini's Cannonball Restaurant."

"I recently had the best fish and chips I've had in a long time at this restaurant. My two daughters also loved their meals, with one having chicken nuggets and the other having wings, both with chips and curry sauce. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will definitely be returning for more delicious food. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo this time, but I will make sure to capture the experience next time."

"I'm going to be honest and say that the reason to come here is definitely the novelty value and not the food. One of London's oldest Chop Houses (open since 1757), this was pretty much the only reason I wanted to visit. That and the fact that it;s tucked down a little alley and you can easily completely miss its existence (it's address is 38 1/2 Cornhill) Only open at lunch times, I made an effort to go before I went back to a 9 to 5 office job. From perusing its menu I knew to expect comfort food not fancy food. And as I've indicated, I was right. We went down the tiny alleyway and was asked by the host if we fancied upstairs or downstairs. Downstairs looked cute so we opted for that...read more"

"at £16.95 per for a frying dinner they expect something special or at least for it to be edible. I ordered the lamb, the meat was delicious, but that was it. the evening meal was served in a bowl, drown in a not particularly beautiful sweet gravur, which tasted all the same. a piece of brokkoli, 2 pastilles and a carrot and 4 stone-hard “roasting potatoes”, one could not even cut with a steak knife. the yorkshire pudding was burned up and so tender everywhere else, it was just a big disappointment. I complained politely about the kartoffels and the sweet and the amount of “gread” at the end of the meal. they said they would give it back to the cook, but no more word about it from the staff. it would have been appreciated if they were just coming back and apologized. pay attention to the broth that is brought as soon as your floor comes to the chair is for...worthy it was because it was nice, but a bit of a surprise at the end, especially given the complaining I made and the half eaten meal. my friend enjoyed his beef dinner, but the yorkshire was more a pancake than a pudding! they also overloaded on the glass of the wein I ordered with £2.50, but at this point I could not complain again, we cut our losers, feel thoroughly torn down and praised not back. that is a shame when the personal seemed beautiful and I liked the quirky decoration and the feeling of the place."

"It's the hard rock cafe an institution. When I first came to London I loved visiting here with the great atmosphere, the music and food. I wasn't disappointed. It was very busy and they managed to squeeze us in. I loved it. It brought back fond memories of coming here with friends and soaking it all in. Food was great, the milkshake wasn't thick enough but I had an awesome time. It hasn't lost it's old world charm. I recommend it to people visiting and the prices are affordable. My big burger hit the spot and the sides were delicious. Please click like if you found my review helpful. Do book ahead."

"The service was good, but the atmosphere felt a bit off. I'm not sure if they were trying to be a fine dining establishment or a casual pub. I ordered the falafel and calamari to start, and both were quite disappointing—dry and chewy, and the calamari seemed like it came straight from a frozen bag. For the main course, it felt more like a kebab shop experience, but in a restaurant where you pay three times as much. It's a shame because we had high hopes and were really hoping for a better meal. We'll definitely be looking for prettier dining options in Bath next time."

"I enjoyed the atmosphere but the service was slow if somewhat non-existent. At no stage were we asked if we'd like other drinks other than the initial drinks order. The food was horrible. My mother asked for her steak medium rare and it came burnt and overdone. My father had asked for loaded fries and got plain chips. The twisted Mac and cheese I had was ok but the garlic bread was inedible due to not being properly cooked I've been to a few hard rock cafes over the years but would not go back to the Glasgow one again."

"Hard Rock Cafe Piccadilly Circus I can not fault anything with Hard Rock Cafe. I have visited on multiple occasions and the food has been exquisite on all visits. The food is always cooked to amazing standards that I would expect from Central London restaurants. On this occasion, I went for the nachos for starters. The portion size is defiantly more than enough for two people to share, they were excellent. For the main course I opted for the rack of ribs. They were cooked to perfections as per usual and served with a side of fries. Now onto dessert, the best part. At the time of writing this review, we were offered a free dessert when signing up for emails from Hard Rock Cafe, which we received. The free desserts was a small sundae, which was pleasant. We also ordered the chocolate brownie sundae, which in all honesty is enough for four people to share. It was enormous. The staff around the whole venue are very friendly and attentive, we decided to shop in the gift shop beforehand due to the fact that the table was a fourth five minute wait, which passed by very quickly. Our waitress was very kind and attentive and catered for all our needs. We decided to purchase a drink with a glass and when we left the restaurant section, the gift shop staff were really friendly and straight away showed us what glasses were available. Overall, I would highly recommend visiting Hard Rock Cafe Piccadilly Circus branch, definitely better than the Old Park Lane branch."

"I ordered grits with cheese but received plain grits with no cheese or butter, which was very bland. My coffee, requested light and sweet with almond milk and hazelnut, was also incorrect. I was very disappointed with the overall experience, so proceed with caution when ordering from this restaurant."

"Location 1 of only 2 hotels in the villiage affording amazing views over the Loch from the lounge, restuarant and loch facing bedrooms. Large carpark at the front, easy access. There is a villiage store which sells most produce at slightly inflated prices as they have the monopoly. There are no independent restuarants or take a ways in the area. First impressions Looks a bit like a motel, the building could do witha bit of TLC with paint peeling off cills and walls. Staff Very friendly and helpfull. Room We had room 10 which was a loch facing room, the room was basic with a comfortable bed but no wardrobes for hanging clothes and limited drawer space. There was Tea and coffee makings in the room. The WiFi was non existant in the room and we had to virtually stand next to the modems at the top of the stairs or in the bar area to get a signal. The Bathroom had a bath with a shower. The tiled floor showed signs and wear around the toilet and room looked tired. There was no daily room servicing to make the bed, replenish the tea, milk and coffee or replace any towels or toiletries if needed. The fridge did make a noise so we turned that off at night. The room faces the main road some 50yds away but we noticed no noise from passing traffic. Probably because it is a quiet location. Food Disappointed that for £270 for 2 persons for 2 nights that that did not include breakfast which was £10 for continental or £15 for English. We both had Duck for dinner, I found the duck very nice with a lovely sauce but thought that 1 sliver of carrot, 1 small piece of pak Choi, 1 cube of potato, about 3cm cubed, and a couple of sprigs of broccolli was a bit meagre for the price. The bar had an extensive range of whiskies and limited ales."

"Have you ever dreamed of eating a full on stacked burger with dirty chips and a pint for breakfast? No me either, but if that is your cup of tea then I have just the place for you. After weeks of exploring the best of London's breakfasts I can say I'm a little bored (ouch, sorry if that's harsh! of the regular menu offerings. I'm craving something truly unique on a breakfast menu that blows everyone else out of the water. Well Polo 24 Hour Bar certainly seems to promise that; with a 24 hour menu and open bar you can stuff your face or drown your sorrows in the comfort of a truly British location. "good eating beautiful ambiente we ate in the hard rock in our first night. we were tired, so we had only one main course. I had the atomburger without cheese and my man had a burger with a lateral part of the tweebel rings. the food and the service were really good. there was a Thursday evening the restaurant was busy, but there were still tables available. we enjoyed eating so much that we also went back on Friday night. we ordered wings to start and the same burger as the night before with tweebel rings. when we visit sometime again, we will definitely go back as eating was great."
