"At our table, we noticed that the adjacent table received STK's signature bread right away, while we hadn’t even been offered any. After ordering drinks, we waited about 10 minutes before our waiter came over to ask how everything was. My husband mentioned that we were still waiting for our drinks, which arrived shortly after he asked. We ordered our meals, and my husband chose the calamari starter, which was impressively large. We both opted for steaks. As we were enjoying our conversation, another couple seated nearby received their bread and dip almost immediately. This made me wonder if we had been forgotten, so I asked a staff member if we had missed out on something.... we were indeed overlooked, but thankfully the bread came shortly after. Once our food was finally ready, it was delivered by a different waiter (a runner) to a table next to us and just left there instead of being brought to us. After a while, we managed to get another waiter’s attention to bring our food over. When our meals did arrive, they were quite nice. The asparagus was good, and the truffle fries were delightful—hard to go wrong with deep-fried fries, really. After finishing our meals, we had empty plates in front of us for about 20 minutes. I wanted to order a warm cookie, but at that point, I had lost interest in what was meant to be a special meal, and we just wanted to return to our suite. When we finally asked for the bill, it seemed they were aware we weren't completely satisfied. The bill was £140 after a discount (I had opted out of the optional service fee of £17.50), but we were actually charged £152. I didn't bother to argue about it. For a restaurant that prides itself on its service, we expected much better."

"Chose this for an early supper before the Theatre based on reviews and it didn't disappoint. We arrived early which wasn't a problem and sat in the window booth. Lovely food and staff friendly and attentive. The nachos we shared as a starter weren't as nice as I had hoped, but everything else was delicious. Very busy when we left at 7 so best to book."

"The starter was quite small, especially for two people sharing. The main course, a steak, was fantastic, but the dessert was disappointing. It resembled a cake you might buy at a wholesale store and didn't match the quality of the other two courses."

"**Meal Type:** Dinner **Price per Person:** £40–50 **Food Rating:** 5/5 **Service Rating:** 4/5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 4/5 If you're looking for a delightful dining experience, I highly recommend trying this place. The food was outstanding, earning a perfect score of 5. The Chilli Burger was a standout dish, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection, while the Jacket Potato was equally impressive. The service was commendable, scoring a solid 4. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring our needs were met throughout the evening. The atmosphere also received a 4; it was inviting and pleasant, perfect for a relaxed dinner. Overall, it's a great spot to enjoy a well-crafted meal!"

"We discovered this bar while searching for a spot to grab a quick drink before dinner during the week leading up to Christmas. It’s conveniently located just off the bustling Royal Mile, making it a pleasant choice for us. Overall, the drink selection was impressive, and the staff were polite and attentive. Unfortunately, we couldn't have dinner here as it was fully booked, but we saw plenty of groups arriving and leaving. It looks like a lovely restaurant, so we definitely plan to give it a try on our next visit to Edinburgh."

"The reception is located on the ground floor was unattended so we had a flight to the bar where the staff seemed surprised to see customers. After we finally sit, the service was acceptable, but certainly not calculated up to the prices. The menu is very limited. Only seven nets, one of which was fish and chips... hardly our idea of fine dinning. The lobster and steak were wildly overpriced. Nothing we had was bad, but nothing was really good, given the prices. All in all, one of the least unforgettable meals we had in Edinburgh for over a week. Given all the good choices in the old town, I would not suggest Victor Carina Continis Cannonball Restaurant."

"Placed a call and collect order of one beef burger meal and one veggie burger meal. My partner asked for salad but no cheese on his, and I requested just salad, no sauce or cheese. The ‘salad’ in each burger consisted of three bits of limp, old lettuce with some cooked onions sprinkled on mine for some reason. They also added cheese onto my partners burger, which is not ideal considering he is lactose intolerant and the request was not just a matter of taste. The chips where also disappointing so we ended up throwing most of the meal away. All in all a miserable take away that was certainly not worth the money. I’d advise low quality expectations if ordering here, we certainly won’t be going back!"

"Shhhhhhh don't tell anyone! This is and always has been one of my favourite restaurants in London. Exceptional quality food (simple but perfect), exceptional service (thoroughly engaging staff), and a great price. We dined as a group of six and had various main courses (with a sausage of course), followed by various desserts and cheese. Everything was first class Just don't want it to become too popular as it really is a hidden gem!"

"A hidden gem in Clapham that simply cannot be missed. A short walking distance from Clapham Common Station, is this quaint and well decorated venue with the most welcoming and attentive staff that engage and host an incredible meal. The menu is small however incredibly diverse with many options for both vegetarian and meat lovers to choose from. We had the Scallops and Crabcakes to start that were tasty and a good portion (forgot to take a picture, that's how good and quickly we ate them). We finished off with the carvery which I did take a picture of, as this was presented beautifully with all the trimmings. They also continuously served us varieties of freshly baked bread (corn, olive, mustard seed and wholegrains) with butter and this was also an incredible touch and again well portioned. The Coffee was really good also so I've no doubt even to stop in and have a quick drink would be a real treat, but the main experience would be to have a nice sit down meal as we did. We didn't manage to book but if we did, we'd sit outside as the pictures online looked incredible and we arrived a moment after they opened and it had already been fully booked this speaks volumes to me so we will be back!"

"Booked table for 5. When we arrived offered table for 4 with seat placed on end. Declined this table told proper table would be available 20 minutes later. Went for drink in the Back Bar. Returned 30 minutes later and shown to suitable table. Drinks took long time to arrive. Starters average and lacked flavour. Fries over salted and they were changed. The food is lacking in flavour and service is variable. Declined to pay service charge (which I normally do). The Menu is lacking choice and expensive. Time the for the Hard Rock upped their game."

"The service was good, but the atmosphere felt a bit off. I'm not sure if they were trying to be a fine dining establishment or a casual pub. I ordered the falafel and calamari to start, and both were quite disappointing—dry and chewy, and the calamari seemed like it came straight from a frozen bag. For the main course, it felt more like a kebab shop experience, but in a restaurant where you pay three times as much. It's a shame because we had high hopes and were really hoping for a better meal. We'll definitely be looking for prettier dining options in Bath next time."

"We had an amazing dinner at Hard Rock. The experience was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Louise assisted us during our visit, and she went above and beyond to make our evening special, even helping us celebrate a surprise birthday. The manager was also very accommodating. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!"

"I ordered grits with cheese but received plain grits with no cheese or butter, which was very bland. My coffee, requested light and sweet with almond milk and hazelnut, was also incorrect. I was very disappointed with the overall experience, so proceed with caution when ordering from this restaurant."

"Location 1 of only 2 hotels in the villiage affording amazing views over the Loch from the lounge, restuarant and loch facing bedrooms. Large carpark at the front, easy access. There is a villiage store which sells most produce at slightly inflated prices as they have the monopoly. There are no independent restuarants or take a ways in the area. First impressions Looks a bit like a motel, the building could do witha bit of TLC with paint peeling off cills and walls. Staff Very friendly and helpfull. Room We had room 10 which was a loch facing room, the room was basic with a comfortable bed but no wardrobes for hanging clothes and limited drawer space. There was Tea and coffee makings in the room. The WiFi was non existant in the room and we had to virtually stand next to the modems at the top of the stairs or in the bar area to get a signal. The Bathroom had a bath with a shower. The tiled floor showed signs and wear around the toilet and room looked tired. There was no daily room servicing to make the bed, replenish the tea, milk and coffee or replace any towels or toiletries if needed. The fridge did make a noise so we turned that off at night. The room faces the main road some 50yds away but we noticed no noise from passing traffic. Probably because it is a quiet location. Food Disappointed that for £270 for 2 persons for 2 nights that that did not include breakfast which was £10 for continental or £15 for English. We both had Duck for dinner, I found the duck very nice with a lovely sauce but thought that 1 sliver of carrot, 1 small piece of pak Choi, 1 cube of potato, about 3cm cubed, and a couple of sprigs of broccolli was a bit meagre for the price. The bar had an extensive range of whiskies and limited ales."

"I have just returned from a two night stay at this hotel which was enjoyable. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Our room was on the second floor and looked out onto the extensive grounds. I made a mistake by not enquiring as to whether the hotel had a lift as my sister-in-law had walking difficulties. However, she managed. Our meal arrangement was breakfast and dinner in the evening to include nibbles and two courses from the menu. If we required a further course, this was an extra. We had a delightful Vietnamese waitress on our first evening by the name of Le. She was absolutely charming. She informed us that this weekend the hotel had an Indian Wedding taking place and that an elephant would be arriving for the ceremony. We were sorry we couldn 't witness the proceedings. One thing I would like to mention is that the hotel is on an incline and when exiting, it is very difficult to see the traffic approaching and a mirror on the opposite side of the road would be helpful."
"Not often I have a rant. And I’m not a tight arse by any stretch of the imagination. But adding a 10% service charge on a bill is taking the absolute p” Hard Rock Cafe Manchester your calculator really needs new batteries. The bill came to 183.56, 10% is not 22. Taking the 10% before discounts is a little bit of a penny pinching exercise. If I get good service Ill leave a tip, it’s normally a couple of quid. For someone to bring a plate of food from a kitchen to a table. It’s hardly rocket science or brain surgery, your staff are not saving lives or fighting wars. Why do you need me to subsidise their wages when you have to pay your staff at least minimum wage. I’m sure as a group, there is enough profit to pay them more. The hidden cost of a service charge leaves a bitter taste after a great meal, great cocktails and great service. Speaking to a member of staff, their reply was, many places are doing it. So why follow suit, many places serve **** food, would you follow that? I often seek out hard rock cafes in holiday destinations and have eaten and bought merch in many of them. Unfortunately this has soured that, I’ll be steering clear now. A word to all visiting Hard Rock Cafe. Check the bill. You can refuse the service extortion charge. Takes the p nearly as much as the ULEZ."
