"I 'm not usually one to complain or write bad reviews, but this place deserves special mention for what was almost definitely the worst pub/restaurant experience of my life thus far.Firstly, after the 6 of us were sat down upstairs, it took over 25 mins for a server to ask us for any drinks, with tables around us that had arrive later being served before us, In the end we had to go downstairs to ask for someone to come up, they eventually did. Insult was added to injury when we saw the table next to us had 8 people on it , a clear breach of rules and a bit annoying giving we had let down some of our friends who wanted to come.We ordered 3 bottles of prosecco as they were half price as well as our food. Another 30 mins then passed, I am aware pubs have just reopened and it is busy, but to sit in what is a pub and wait over 45 mins to get a drink is ridiculous. I then asked a nearby server (small middle aged woman) if she could look into where our drinks were as we had been waiting over 45 mins and if they had forgotten the order, she then proceeded to laugh at the prospect we had waited that long, patronised me about it and laughed in my face, at one point even tapping me on the shoulder laughing saying Oh . Come on . I then asked if she could bring her manager up as tbh i was pretty seething, needless to say the manager never came. The drinks were then eventually brought up and we got on with our night, unfortunately matters only got worse when the food was brought out.(Now 1hr 30 since we entered the pub).I have attached photos ....I understand it is a pub so i don 't expect Michelin star cooking but I expect a lot better than what I received. Having paid 18 pound for the Philly Cheese Steak I expect it to at least be edible. My friend ordered a burger and got an equally distasteful meal. All of the other meals were equally poor and lukewarm, only have photos of a couple.I cannot stress to you how bad it was, I am by no means a food snob i will eat at roadside cafes , burger vans etc and enjoy it, it takes a lot for something to be inedible for me, but please never eat here. For the price you pay around 20 per main, you can do a lot better at Mc Donalds and get your food 10x quicker"

"I visited in February The restaurant is well located close to Trafalgar Square with a striking interior of all marble. It looks the part, although they could do with updating their chairs. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff are attentive. We received a very friendly welcome as soon as we walked in. We opted for the pre-theatre course set menu. At this seems to be good value. We both had the rib croquette starter, this dish has potential but lacked any particular flavour and was rather dry. For the main, I had the rump steak and my girlfriend had the lamb chops. Unfortunately these were both very dry, the steak was more char grilled than anything else and the lamb was a little bland. On the side of the plate we each had a pile of salad that was a bit stale. We had to ask the waitress for some salad dressing and oil to make the main more edible. They seemed concerned that we though the food wasn't great but didn't do anything about it. The desert was the best part of the meal and we both enjoyed it. We had the cheesecake and the brownie. Not sure if we got bad food because it was on the pre-theatre menu but in reality this should not be making a difference. They need to sort their food out otherwise customers are never going to return. On the plus side, the wine was very nice and seemed to be good value. The total bill came to just under with service included. Had the starter and main been good, I think this would have been an acceptable price to pay but they weren't, so I will not be returning."
