"I was here recently with my daughter who had never been brave. we both enjoyed everything we ordered. we had three tapas dishes to share for our main course the tortilla, the black bell and the deep fried fish selection that were served separately, but this was no problem, as it allowed us to really taste the different aromes. the portions were not huge, that is true, but we did not want to have a big heavy meal anyway, so we were perfectly satisfied with the portions sizes, especially since this has a little space for both of us to have dessert; my daughter wanted to taste the churros and I had the baskenkäsekuchen with a berry-comonote on the side. that were also delicious and after the cheesecake I was quite sure full! we had only one crippled with our food, so it was not expensive for what was very good eating, according to my opinion. And we also had a nice waiter, raoul, who also deserves a special mention for his pleasant wise and attentiveness. I also liked the decor inside and the casual mood. this was our first meal since the kovid pandemie started and our first meal in england since we moved here in juli 2020, so it was a special evening for us in many respects. thanks!"

"We went on a Saturday night but had pre booked. It was busy but not overly. It took 5 minutes to be acknowledged, a further 5 to be seated, 20 minutes for our order to be taken and roughly 45-50 minutes for us to receive (some) of our order. Given we had a 2 year old with us was a bit frustrating as by the time the food came, there was no interest in eating. We were looking for where the food was cooked and more than disappointed with it being microwaves in the centre of the restaurant. Staff in “kitchen” were on their phones and unbothered about getting orders out. We didn’t even receive some of our order, which hadn’t even been taken off the bill. The food was cold, staff didn’t care for our custom and food “cooked” in a microwave-oven. Not worth the £6-£10 for each dish"

"Ordered olives to start with, £4 for only 7 olives which were not very nice, came out of a very large jar. Mentioned to waiting staff who said they were Spanish olives. Wouldn’t order them again. My friend and I had the Canarian chicken skewers which were very nice but the accompanying potatoes were soft and soggy. Waiting staff were friendly and accommodating. One male member of staff who was either behind the bar or just walking around the restaurant area was wearing scruffy jeans with a large rip in the back and white trainers that were absolutely filthy. Not sure what position he held but he looked totally unprofessional. When we received the bill there was a 12.5% service charge added which we felt we should have been told about on asking for the bill. We did ask for this to be removed and we left a cash tip."

"What a shame a good location and an excellent menu BUT. Several items from the menu were 'not available ' despite it being prime time on a Saturday evening. The same applied to the wine list. The food itself was very good when it was eventually received: several members of the staff seemed overwhelmed and poorly trained."

"the restaurant las iguanas is specialized in South American cuisine. her menu is divided by country and they have a vegetarian vegan menu. the atmosphere is alive and the decoration is very simple and colorful as if there is always a party!<br/ <br/ the nachos with jalapenos, guacamole and cheddar are delicious and perfect for the exchange, although the vegan cheese is not the best, more boiled than melted crust on the top and is definitiw missing in guac! the drawn jackfruit is cooked to perfection, however, the “meat” was fleshy and firm with a beetroot cream so sweet that can be mistaken for heavenly flowers. the grated vegan cheddar top does not make much sense, but it has a very delicate taste not spoiling the whole dish!<br/ <br/ the chocolate cake is literally living! a spirit that blows food gasm! with a really thick texture they brought with only one bite into the sky. the cocosnusseis cream is quite common, but essential."

"Dove’s brings a unique, lively Tex Mex flair to traditional diner food and vibes, and the service is excellent. The dishes are fresh, flavorful, and come out fast. It’s kind of pricey, but the portions are large and filling and my group of 4 had some leftovers afterwards. Make a reservation if you can— seating is limited and it gets quite busy for brunch especially on weekends. Food I tried: Taco Norteno (4.2/5): The brisket in the taco was delicious, flavorful, and well seasoned, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the tortilla which felt too thick and dough y for me. Tlayuda (4.3/5): I enjoyed the crispiness of the tortilla and the freshness of the ingredients, though it could have used a bit more vibrant flavors. It was simultaneously light and filling. Brisket Hash (4.4/5): Great flavors all around. The potatoes were crispy and well sauced and the brisket was meaty and umami. Masa Pancakes (4/5): Probably my least favorite out of everything we ordered, but I’m also just not the biggest fan of pancakes. The flavors here were just okay. — Price (relative to peers): 4.2/5 Food: 4.2/5 Ambience: 4.8/5 Service: 4.8/5 Overall Value: 4.4/5"

"I went to this restaurant for a meal before a show. It was overpriced and the food had no flavor. It felt like a Latino version of Wetherspoons, but at double or triple the price. The food was mediocre and the cocktails were not good. I wasn't expecting fine dining, but there are better chain restaurants at the O2. They automatically added a £10 service charge, even after I had to remind them about two rounds of drinks they forgot. In my opinion, it's best to avoid this place."

"We visited this restaurant for lunch after attending the Art of the Brick exhibit for my son's first birthday, and we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service! The staff was very kind and even gave us complimentary birthday churros for our little one, while singing happy birthday to him. The food was delicious and the overall experience was truly fantastic."

"--- **Delivery Meal Review** **Meal Type:** Dinner **Price per Person:** £20–30 **Food Rating:** 5/5 **Service Rating:** 5/5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 5/5 I recently ordered dinner from this restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was exceptional, easily earning a rating of 5 out of 5. Each dish was well-prepared and flavorful. The service was equally impressive, also receiving a perfect score; my order arrived promptly and was well-packaged. Lastly, even though I dined at home, the overall atmosphere was reflected in the quality of the meal. I highly recommend this place for a delightful dinner experience! --- Feel free to let me know if you'd like any changes or additional details!"

"Californian here, and I previously lived in Mexico City for a few months. One of the biggest things I miss about living in the west southwest of the U.S. is the amazing Mexican food. Love Cambridge so much, but the struggle is real to find a legit burrito. Went here for the first time recently and got the veggie burrito. It was really decent, and probably on par with Chipotle or Rubio Grill (Tex Mex) from the states. So, certainly by no means “authentic”, but the overall taste was respectable as compared to most generic US tex mex. The staff were also super friendly. By British Mexican food standards, would give this place a solid 4 stars. I’d probably come back again if I’m feeling really homesick!"

"The ambiance at this location was fantastic, as always the food at Wahaca is delicious! The only downside for me was the high service charge and tax added on top, which I wasn't a fan of. Despite that, the waiter was friendly and polite, though we did have to wait for him to take our order."

"WOW! I really fancied a proper burrito for lunch and not from a fast food outlet where there is no character or flavour to the food! A quick google search pulled up this little food outlet in the indoor trinity market in the old town! its been a long time since i have been in here and its changed so much! We ordered 3 different meat filled burritos and we all enjoyed them. They were well filled and contained lots of meat! All the burritos were freshly prepared to order. You are given an electric buzzer which indicated your order was ready so you can sit and chill. The burritos only cost £5 each and for the size of them i feel this is a bargain! We did also try the Jarritos Mexican cola and to be honest for £3.50 I wasn't impressed. I'd recommend either a normal coke or a different flavour of Jarritos if your feeling lavish. The service from the lady was very friendly and helpful too Overall a very enjoyable lunch and plenty of dessert places for pudding!"

"Feels odd giving five stars to a tiny cafe with plastic seats out the back. But then, there's a reason the plastic seats and lack of plates don't matter, and it's the same as the reason you'll see a huge queue form out the door at lunchtime. El Burrito mostly does takeaway, and that queue moves very quickly once they get going, so don't be put off. My colleague and I discovered this place while working in the area, it became a struggle not to be going there every day. Staff are efficient and friendly, and they operate a very good system to get people served quickly. The burritos are absolutely delicious, especially if you grab a handful of nachos and a can of weird fizzy agave and plonk yourself in the back. You can then dare each other with fire-hot chilli sauces. The food actually comes down from their parent restaurant, Mestizo, just up the road. Also a truly excellent dining experience."

"I ordered a burrito with steak and pretty much every topping they offered, including Salsa del Diablo. The soft flour tortilla not only reminded me of the ones I grew up eating in Mexico, but held their own against the massive amounts of toppings I had asked for. While their Salsa del Diablo provided a kick to the burrito, the overall taste was underwhelming. Not only was the taste underwhelming but the service was average at best. It could have just been the people who were working there when I went in but that shouldn't be an experience they offer. Overall, they should step their game up when they have many competitors providing better tasting fast Mexican food with a better service."

"There were 2 or 3 things that were very good... The Al Pastor Tacos and The Baja Fish Tacos. Would return to eat these. It prides itself on being based on Mexico City, but having been to Mexico City (and other places like Oaxaca can safely say this is not that far removed from Chiquitos type TexMex. The Sharer Dish of Sea Bream was Ok, not bad, but nothing better than Ok. Dessert was meh. (Mexico City...?? Where are the Churros? The Marquesitas? The flan? The Tres Leches? Just overpriced BS like passion fruit cheesecake and chocolate tart etc. In short: would come back and eat the Al Pastor Tacos Fish Tacos... Pass on nearly everything else."

"The name is Mezcal Cantina so you should expect two things from this place:1. Mezcal2. Mexican foodBoth were atrocious. From the list of Mezcals the restaurant claim to have they only had two barely two at that since nobody should be proud of stocking Monte Alban so really only one passable Mezcal was available. This was on a Saturday night so it 's not like they had sold out over a busy weekend and were awaiting re supply. They didn 't even have any interestinmg Mexican beers just the standard stuff you find in the supermarket and this place is selling them to you for a fiver a bottle! Where 's the Bohemia? Where 's the Tecate? Where 's the Indio?Guys if you 're struggling for Mezcal supply try Master of Malt in the UK or CampoLuzEnoteca in Spain (both will deliver to you) or maybe get your mates back home to ship it over from La Europea. Whatever you do, if you 're going to call yourself Mezcal Cantina the least you can do is have some Mezcal in stock!!Now on to the food...It 's obvious you don 't make your own tortillas but I can forgive that (although my wife was less than forgiving on this point). What cannot be forgiven, what is utterly disgusting is that your salsa is made from ketchup!! Ketchup Salsa. Folks, let that settle in a bit. A place that prides themselves on serving authentic Mexican cuisine thinks it 's ok to serve you salsa made from tomato ketchup. So let 's recap.Mezcal Cantina doesn 't have any Mezcals worth drinking and their very mediocre food is served with ketchup salsa.I 'll also agree with many other reviewers that the food and drinks are horrifically over priced."
