"The food was of excellent quality and delicious. The service was also fantastic, with friendly and efficient staff. They even gave us complimentary oranges and chocolate."

"When I arrived at the restaurant, I was immediately impressed by the meticulously set tables, giving off a charming ambiance. Despite the prices not necessarily reflecting it, the restaurant felt quite comfortable in other aspects. The service was outstanding - we were promptly served and even offered some complimentary "extras" like a fresh juice cocktail, chocolates, and flowers! The meal itself was exceptional, with the red chili being a standout dish that I highly recommend."

"The Lily is a solid Indian/Bengali restaurant. They have a good variety of dishes and do them fairly well.I like the decorations of the place, it has that old intimate feel you seldom find in London Curry Houses these days.Service is fine both if you are eating in and if you get food to take home. They have a delivery service but it is better to take-away as the one time it was delivered to me the food was cold.I think it has a good standard that has been maintained over the years but is not really among the top places in its price range. In the area it is probably the best of its kind but I would not travel for a meal specifically."

"Really bland food, didn’t even have chilli sauce to accompany poppadoms the place has ‘Chilli’ in the title, charged us for poppadoms and three ‘sauces’ dry salad, mint yogurt and shop bought mango chutney totalling alone before we knew they didn’t have anything spicy to go with them. Other food was just weird, chicken tikka masala was bright pink orange with coconut in it?! and tasted like a dessert it was so sweet. Seemed like it was taken out of a jar or something, had consistency of a paste but was like eating sweet, thick, pink paint. No spicing in anything, lamb bhuna was just like eating lightly fried onions with a bit of meat, that’s it. Asked for the bill times before finally getting it even though restaurant wasn’t even half full. Was thinking they were taking their time to provide us with some minor treat as I’d mentioned it was a birthday. But no, nothing, they just took their time for no reason. Really bad food"

"Dreadful foodOrdered a take away, got home and the chicken tikka masala looked like it had been put in the freezer and then microwaved."

"Bhatti does the Indian restaurant classics adequately, just about, but with a complete absence of personality and flair. Mutton biryani was a large, well-spiced portion, but the accompanying veg curry was dull and lifeless. Chicken tikka Lahori was bland and anaemic. Chicken jalfrezi arrived in an ocean of sloppy gravy. Parathas and naans were very good. The meal for 3, with drinks, came to £43 with the toptable deal. Excellent value if you really must have an old-school curry in the West End, but nothing we ate made me want to go back any time soon."

"The Bengal Lancer was a lifesaver during covid and the Monday night takeaway has morphed into a sit in curry club. The food is honest and home cooked, well priced and my friend and I missed it in September/ October when it was spruced up in a refurb. The staff there are friendly and the service is always excellent. They’re very open to feedback and tweaking their dishes to taste also. Get along and support your local curry house!"

"Quick service, polite staff but food was average I ate here to celebrate a friend's birthday and was pleasantly surprised by the ease of finding the restaurant, the decor and friendliness of staff. My friend had quite a hot/spicy dish which she said she enjoyed but my dish was bland (I cant take spicy and ordered a mild dish but I was disappointed that there was no taste and that the food was not as hot as it could have been). I also have allergies and when I have been in other Indian restaurants they were able to amend dishes so that I could partake. Unfortunately this restaurant was unable to do this and I was left feeling underwhelmed. In saying this staff were friendly and our meals were delivered quickly and we didn't feel at all rushed in this restaurant (we did dine early though and had booked a table online for an early evening meal). PRICES: good bare in mind that you will need to order rice and nann separately unless you are ordering a set meal which can push the price up a bit but it is still reasonably priced."

"I visited a diwali celebration (festival der Lichter) in this restaurant on recommendation of a friend and was thrilled with the experience. the employees and the management were gracious and attentive, the buffet food was delicious and the entertainment (a fusion of Indian and Western dance music provided by a live duo by dj’s) was excellently mixed and added the perfect scene for the festivities of the evening. the restaurant was plentiful with Indian clientele, which was a fantastic quality seal. I have already recommended the restaurant to my friends and would like to eat there in future."

"I had a great experience at Bombay Bicycle Chef. I ordered the Chicken Biryani, Squid Rings, and Cheesy Naan, all of which were delicious. The 50% promotion definitely made the meal feel more worthwhile. I'll need to check the actual prices to see if I agree with their value. The Mango Lassi was incredible, though I was disappointed that they did not serve cocktails or mocktails. I would definitely return!"

"Last night I ate at the south bank tandoori with a friend who is dad, recommend the restaurant. we went to a impulsive decision after we decided that we felt too lazy to make our own dinner, so we decided to spend money that we had not, oh student life! we arrived at the very full restaurant and managed to get a table for two immediately. it was jam, a good sign for promising eating. we had a series of options on the menu from which we chose a selection. they have taken the ones to my friend a kartoffel corma rather than chickens (as it is vegetarian) very nicely. the service was a little strange, they explained that they were understaffed, but the team of the staff...read more"

"my man and I had the lamb that we found was tasty and delicate, but the sauce was a bit dry and remembered the soda that was too long. the greatest disappointment was the nasty broth, I had the garlic, and my man had a flat and both had no taste, it seemed like it was salt free. my favorite was the fungus I highly recommend. I would say the experience was pleasant and or server attentive. it is over a decent value for the price"
"We went to this pretty traditional Indian restaurant with a good friend to visit London. We chose the menu for two for £27. For that price you have onion bhajis, then a chicken tika masala and chicken curry with a side of sag aloo goa. We ordered an extra portion of taka dal. The sag aloo dal and had a good taste but the curry was quite sosa and I'm not sure they were just made. The service seemed a little ropy sometimes too much, especially when one of the waiters connected to my friend as he finished his start. I had the general feeling that the waiters were more interested in ensuring the orderly development of liquidating tables of the comfort of their comensals. In general, the quality of the food does not reach the cost that ended up being 60 pounds for two with wine. There are certainly other Indian restaurants in the Notting Hill and Bayswater area as they deserve our best."

"we have booked this fantastic restaurant for lunch. it was very easy for 16 of us. we received a very kind greeting at the arrival and sat quickly. mr. singh and his personal could not have been more attentive. large selection on the menu and large selection of drinks. our starter order has been taken over and placed and then our main order is accepted. everything arrived on time and everyone enjoyed eating. good portions and all very tasty. I was many places in large numbers and must say that the meal went without a clinke with everything arriving on time and with ease. the bill was also very cheap and all in order when they book a big party, this place is...read more"

"This restaurant continues to impress with its excellent food, making it the go-to spot for an authentic Indian cuisine experience on the South Coast. Their BYOB policy also makes it quite affordable. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

"We visited this restaurant tonight for dinner and had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The interior has about five tables and the seating is a bit cramped. We ordered masala dosa, roti with chicken curry, nasi goreng, nasi lemak, and curry laksa. The roti with chicken curry was delicious and I really enjoyed it. The masala dosa was good with the chutneys and sambar. The curry laksa had a good flavor, but the curry had a lack of chicken pieces and tofu, and more bean sprouts. The nasi goreng was tasty, but didn't feel authentic due to the ingredients. The nasi lemak had plain boiled rice instead of fragrant coconut milk rice. The fried chicken was lacking in seasoning. I wanted to try the chicken biryani and fried chicken, but the portion sizes seemed small for the price. We may come back in the future for the roti with curry."

"The portion sizes are quite decent and offer good value for the price. I did find the naan a bit small, but that’s a minor detail. I would love to see a Tandoori option on the menu, though I understand that local preferences might not lean towards Tandoori dishes. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, giving me a nostalgic feeling reminiscent of India. The music is soothing and enhances the dining experience without being intrusive. The service staff is friendly and very polite, contributing to a wonderful experience during Diwali night. Thank you!"
