It seems like they simply provided the raw ingredients. I recommend going to San Carlos in town to learn how to cook properly. "The atmosphere is lovely and authentic, and the service is excellent—these two aspects warrant a five-star rating. However, when it comes to the main focus of the visit, which is the food, I was let down. The pasta carbonara I ordered was a far cry from what a true carbonara should be; it contained none of the traditional ingredients, such as Parmesan cheese, pancetta, or guanciale. Instead, it was made with the cheapest ingredients and was overwhelmed by single cream, a dish I could easily make better myself. I don't mean to sound overly critical, but I have high standards when it comes to culinary experiences. I sincerely hope improvements can be made in this area."

"What an amazing experience! We celebrated three lockdown 50th birthdays here with a group of eight. We were all given one room for ourselves and the staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and attentive. Upon arrival, we were greeted and shown where the facilities were, given a run-through of our room's amenities, and shown how to operate things like the television and air conditioning. The place was beautifully decorated and stylish. The service was top-notch and nothing was too much for the staff. The menu had a variety of options and we all enjoyed our meals, which were delicious and generously portioned. Lytham House had a lively atmosphere and it was clear that everyone was having a good time. The attention to detail extended to the cleanliness and hygiene of the restrooms. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely go back!"

"as a family, woman, son and friend. very efficient and friendly. the menu is somewhat limited, but we had appetizers that were considerable and very good. for main courses, a mixture of pasta, pizza and a chicken salad and bratkartoffeln. Some...something gloomy again, like the coffee. it is worth noting that it is unlicensed, but there are sainsbury’s, directly opposite and they are welcome to bring wein and the cafe delivers glasses. I am a fan, they can buy two decent bottles and it is much cheaper than a bottle of moderate wine in a restaurant."

"This Italian restaurant is fantastic! The staff is friendly and the food is cooked perfectly. I started with the delicious mussels in a white wine, tomato, and chili sauce. Then I had the Veal Parmigiana, which was absolutely delicious. The homemade Tiramisu was also fantastic. They have a good selection of reasonably priced wines. Overall, a fantastic restaurant that is definitely worth a visit."

"We had a great experience at this restaurant. The service was friendly and the prices were reasonable. Our order included shakshuka, taramasalata, lahmacun, and garlic mushrooms. We were pleasantly surprised with complimentary starters of warm fresh pita, olives, tzaziki, and spicy Turkish salsa. The shaksula, a fried aubergine with spicy tomato sauce, was delicious, although it did not include egg as is traditional. The taramasalata was a vibrant pink color but very flavorful and generously portioned. The lahmacun was light and delicious, with a thin layer of lamb mince on a flatbread. However, the garlic mushrooms had too much cream for our taste. We look forward to returning to try more of their dishes in the future."

"I went with my team to have a lunch , we were 4 people in total. The place was empty. Only two of the staff was there. We ordered pretty simple foods soups and main courses. Soups came relatively quick. The place was still empty when we finished our starters. Then, we had to wait more than 30 min for our main courses. In the meantime three other tables were sat and they had their food almost immediately. We were still waiting .... Then after a long wait we were served a dry risotto that was literally cold, I thought most probably heated and stayed for sometime outside but inside was cold too. My team received cold food too. I didn’t finish my risotto as it was horrible. One guy from my team finished his fish although the garnish was cold as he was very hungry. I told the server that we weren’t happy and that the food was cold. He said:”ok, thanks”?!!? Then we asked for the bill which was £110 that I found very expensive for his experience. They will never see us again obviously, but be warned that this is NOT the place to go if you’re looking for a proper Italian cuisine.. so disappointed! Extremely!!!!"

I visited recently on New Year's Eve, and thanks to the management and staff, it was a fantastic night. I was disappointed to learn that they are no longer allowed to have their marquee. I urge the authorities to reconsider this decision, as Standish is growing and should be allowed to evolve rather than be held back by outdated regulations. By the way, I’m 75 years old."

"Really overly average meal for ridiculous prices. Went with a big group of friends and half the group were really disappointed with their meal. Last time we went here, we were left sat at the bar for a good half an hour without being offered a drink or a menu and when we were seated it took so long for them to bring us the menu, let alone order, that we left and went to the local Thai! We thought we'd give it another try and were faced with pathetic portions and quality that I could have done better at home. Stodgy, over priced, la-di-dah and average service. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying good money for great food, IF it's great, but the best thing about the meal was the people we were eating it with. I don't know where this restaurant gets it's reputation from but for the prices they charge, I'd like to think they could afford to get a proper lock on at least one of the ladies toilets! Won't be returning."
