"Arrived in time. Restaurant was approximately 50% empty. Table was not ready. Asked to take a seat in the bar. Around 12 14 min later were taken to our table for 2. No menu. Few minutes later came food menu. No drinks menu. Requested papad with my drink, took 10 min before serving papad but wanted us to order food. Starter deserved 4 stars but kofta curry was bland and nothing like any Indian cuisine. Ordered pan kulfi was served two dollops of ice cream with grossly over powering pan flavouring added with touch of falooda ingredients. This was an insult to kulfi, priced at £12.50. When asked by staff about food, informed him about our opinion on the kulfi. He agreed that it had excessive pan flavouring and confessed that he had tasted it before it was served. This dish deserved minus 5 rating. The food is nothing like Baluchi at Lalit’s in Delhi and Mumbai. Baluchi London will be not be on our list for future."

"We had dinner at this restaurant and I wasn't sure if the reviews I read would meet my expectations. The restaurant is not very fancy, but it's okay. The tarka dal was just right, the paneer makhani was nice and spicy, and the chicken tikka masala was decent. It's a bring your own drink establishment with no corkage charge, as the off-license is next door. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Overall, it lived up to expectations. If you're craving Indian food in Edinburgh, give it a try."

"Following the principle 'good ought to be sought ', we scanned through reviews here on TripAdvisor to look a good Nihari place and found 'Karachi Pakwan '. I called ahead to reserve a table and to get a 'feel ' for the service/people, it went well. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Nofel as soon as we entered the restaurant and seated. We were pleasantly surprised by the inviting ambience, warm plates, clean cutlery and spotless glasses. (You 'd be surprised how rare the last 3 are at Pakistani restaurants) Our host recommended masala fish whilst we 'd wait for our main which we thought tasted excellent. Our main, Nihari with Kulchas was served at our requested time. The kulchas were fresh and perhaps the nicest we had at any Pakistani restaurant. Nihari was good enough, albeit I did think it could have done with a bit of (fat) trimming. Regardless, the taste didn 't disappoint. We had no room to try their recommended falooda (or even a sweet paan) but we shall in our next visit. The restaurant is about 90 minutes drive from us BUT worth it. Our previous Nihari restaurant (in West Hendon) is half that distance but declining service had costed them our custom of 10 years. We shall be returning to Karachi Pakwan for more."

"I dined in with three others on February 3, 2022, and had a wonderful experience. The venue was clean, and the ambiance and decor were impressive. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious from the starters all the way through to dessert. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to dine there again. Well done!"

"Our family loves this restaurant and we frequent it as often as possible. We have also introduced some of our friends and they have also loved the food and experience. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Food is delicious, well prepared and presented. Portion sizes are generous and we usually find that a main between two people is sufficient. However, if you order too much, they are happy to provide you with carrier containers. The oriental dishes on the menu are not as you would get from a Chinese restaurant; they are spicy and far tastier. Indian dishes are our favorites and are always delicious. The menu is varied enough to make most taste with excellent vegetarian options."

"I payed £4.35 for a piece of Fererro cake to take away. When I arrived home and started to eat the cake I noticed it was quite old and the taste was not great for that price, but I decided to eat it as I was craving something sweet. At the last 2 bites I discovered a thick, dark hair coming out of the piece on my fork (definitely not mine). If the price and quality didn’t disappoint enough, then the hair surely did! “Good job” Afters!!!"

"I've eaten here a few times with my partner and always been blown away by the food, so for my birthday this year I thought I'd arrange a meal with some friends to share the deliciousness with loved ones. Big mistake. The restaurant clearly don't want to cater for large parties (there were 12 adults and 4 kids in our group . We booked an early table at 5pm to make this easier for the restaurant and free up the space for evening diners. From the moment of our arrival we were treated with utter contempt, bits of our order never turned up, drinks took ages to arrive. When it came to leaving, we were told we had underpaid by £25 but previously the waitress had said we had completely covered before I'd even paid my portion so the £25 I paid for my meal was essential the tip (way more than 10% . The hostile manager wouldn't let us leave and insisted we pay the missing money plus a tip. After we left we checked all our receipts (though most of us paid in cash , added them up and saw we had indeed been swindled. I am genuinely devastated because I have loved eating here until this point, but I won't be going back because of the way we were treated. If you are a solo diner or couple then please do visit because the food is absolutely out of this world, but if you are a large party please avoid the awful experience I was unfortunate to have at the hands of such a grumpy man completely devoid of human kindness (who really shouldn't be front of house ."

"We were a party of five and booked a table for dinner 20.00 hours. As usual,on arrival, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our pre-laid table. I ordered poppadoms for my starters followed by chicken Naga with a mushroom bharji and a pilau rice as side dishes. One of the best things about this place is that no matter what you order, the dishes are served up looking and smelling wonderful and perfectly cooked and always good portions. We have been coming here now for many years and have never been served up with a poor dish. We hope the place never changes and shall certainly returun again in the near future."

"We booked this restaurant last minute and made our reservation the last one on a Saturday evening which was 10:30pm. Due to the concert at nearby Sage running late, we were late as a result! The restaurant called me just to check we were still attending and we confirmed that we were and arrived 10 minutes late. That was absolutely no problem to the team. They made us feel so welcome and I un rushed as I’m sure they, like anyone else, wanted to get tidied away and home! The whole team were so friendly, they chatted with us and really made us feel like a valued customer. This meant a lot. Next is the food! It was absolutely amazing, we all had a fantastic meal, the sauces were superb. I have to say that this was probably one of the best Indian meals I have ever had! Would thoroughly recommend!"

"Terrible experience. Restaurant was short staffed and therefore waiting time was nearly 45mins without any communication. What little food we did have however, was very nice, bar the Fusca, which was probably the worst I’d had. Such a shame really. We were offered the dessert menu, 20 minutes after we’d been left waiting for the remaining food. The waiter was pleasant, and I actually felt sorry for him. But nonetheless, our food order had been forgotten, and we had hardly eaten anything. He was clearly under pressure and this is purely down to poor management, and the owners prioritising external events they were catering for on this particular Saturday evening ; the restaurant itself clearly wasn’t of any importance. Had to make a last minute reservation at an alternative restaurant; elderly and disabled mother was struggling and two children with me were tired and starving. Wasted journey."

"What an amazing restaurant. My sister and I visited on a trip from Devon as a birthday treat. The menu was extensive but we were given plenty of time to choose. All our food was really delicious. We were asked how spicy we liked our food and both our dishes were perfect. All the staff were friendly and polite and the whole place was spotless. We sat near a family who told us they were regulars as the food is so good and they treated us to a delicious paper dosa to try as we’d not had them before. It was a really enjoyable evening and I’d highly recommend this lovely restaurant."

"Having lived in the local area for nearly a year now I cannot believe it took us this long to find this incredible restaurant on our door stop!!!!! Absolutely amazing food and so reasonably priced, of course the BYO is great and they will even...put your beers in the fridge for you. Highly recommend for great food and great atmosphere. We will be visiting regularly!!"

"Top-notch Indian cuisine that stands out from your average Indian restaurant. While it may not quite compare to the eateries on Curry Mile nearby, this establishment offers a diverse menu with a great selection..."

"Food was amazingly good , very delicious . As for the atmosphere too loud need to yell at each other and we were a group of 5 which made it not very convenient. When food arrived wasnt even sure i got the right order due to over loud background noise (talking from over customers over loud music bad combo) at least music you can ontrol the volume which they didn't done. "Bhatti does the Indian restaurant classics adequately, just about, but with a complete absence of personality and flair. Mutton biryani was a large, well-spiced portion, but the accompanying veg curry was dull and lifeless. Chicken tikka Lahori was bland and anaemic. Chicken jalfrezi arrived in an ocean of sloppy gravy. Parathas and naans were very good. The meal for 3, with drinks, came to £43 with the toptable deal. Excellent value if you really must have an old-school curry in the West End, but nothing we ate made me want to go back any time soon."

"Went with my family to eat at this restaurant. The food looked authentic and more importantly tasted authentic and the attention to detail was what stood out from other places. The staff was superb and helpful with helping us pick our dishes. The manager was really friendly and interested. He gave us a wonderful night out. Definitely worth the one hour trip to get there and we plan on visiting again. The service was excellent and I commend the workers there. It's definitely one that I recommended and I look forward to my return there."

"This restaurant never fails! It is an amazing place for dinner and one of my all time favourite places to eat in Aberdeen. It was my boyfriend's birthday and the restaurant went above and beyond with their service, hospitality and extras without being asked. The food is of an excellent standard and I am impressed consistently after every visit. The staff are super friendly and accommodating and the service is excellent. Highly recommend!"
