"Me and my husband went to Little Kolkata for lunch yesterday. We received a very warm welcome and were given the choice of seating. The decor inside was very nice and the earthen water jugs and glasses definitely added to the charm. It is important to understand that this is not a regular Indian Restaurant or curry house. This place serves authentic Bengali Kolkata food and that means it's not Bangladeshi. Being from Kolkata I miss my city's cuisine but now I have found the perfect place to go to. My husband is from London and authenticity wasn't a factor for him but taste was and he has fallen in love with Little Kolkata. We have already booked for next week. We tried for starter the Illish Maacher Dim bhhaja, for mains I had Luchi and Kalighater Kosha Mangsho, my husband had Rice and Chilli Chicken, for dessert we had Kulfi Falooda and Misti doi. Every single item was cooked to perfection and made us overeat. Even after dessert I wanted to carry on ordering more food but I decided I couldn't possibly eat anymore. If you are a bong and miss your food then please visit Little Kolkata and if you are a lover of Indian food or simply like to try out various different cuisines then please visit Little Kolkata. There is something there for everyone's tastebuds."

They called us on the day to cancel this booking as they had a problem with the gas. I’ve not seen it open since so I don’t know if they’re permanently closed now?!

Food was mediocre, low expectations so found it ok. Hard to get service attention. Food was also slow. Desserts were appalling. My friend is from Kolkata and was very disappointed!

I booked this restaurant for 21 December, 6pm through Opentable. When I arrived there with my family for my sister's birthday, the place was completely shut. It was so disappointingly not to havr been told in advance. Opentable needs to take this restaurant off its books immediately.

I wanted to introduce my two friends to traditional Indian Bengali cooking of my heritage. Whilst I didn’t think the food was akin to my mother’s, it’s definitely delicious and good value for money. The cauliflower cashew and the prawn malai curry were exquisite. I found the service to be left wanting, not friendly or warm.

it is nice to find Indian restaurants in london, the “proper” Indian foods where original aromen are not masked to match the British palette; this place serves delicious kosha mangsho (tonmutton curry, lamb biryani, senf aubergine (that was too good! among many other Bengali dishes. but they could improve on their cocktails. we tried golap martini (lousy, whisky sour (okayish and sweet sixteen (best) food proportions are good and enough to share among two. Look!

A real attempt to bring authentic Kolkata street food and Bengali cuisine to the heart of London. Tapas style menu allows diners to try a variety of different dishes. Staff friendly and helpful, if, perhaps a little amateurish. On the pricey side, but not surprising given the central location. Lovely decor, with some beautiful Kolkata memorabilia. I would prefer the music to be more traditional, but that is because I’m a sentimental “oldie”. I am always happy to recommend this restaurant ..... a unique dining experience.

Terrible experience. Restaurant was short staffed and therefore waiting time was nearly 45mins without any communication. What little food we did have however, was very nice, bar the Fusca, which was probably the worst I’d had. Such a shame really. We were offered the dessert menu, 20 minutes after we’d been left waiting for the remaining food. The waiter was pleasant, and I actually felt sorry for him. But nonetheless, our food order had been forgotten, and we had hardly eaten anything. He was clearly under pressure and this is purely down to poor management, and the owners prioritising external events they were catering for on this particular Saturday evening ; the restaurant itself clearl...
