"This is the second time we have visited the casino. It’s spotlessly clean. All the staff are very friendly welcoming. Angela meets greets you is the ultimate professional. Alessandro in the restaurant is excellent as are the rest of the waiting staff. The food is top restaurant quality. Highly recommend you visit."

"good location for victoria theatre. comfortable seating and good service. eating was disappointing: steak was tender, but not very tasty or the Hollandaise sauce. cream caramel too sweet and sick, with too heavy texture my own is much better, but there was little choice on the theater menu. I would recommend when they go to the theater, but not for a special meal from culinary experience."

"great disappointment. great location and looks smart, but the service is a great disappointment and leaves it really down. the bar service was terrible, no eye contact from the personal and they seemed fluent, although it was not very busy. the starters arrived after minutes, but we were waiting for our net over an hour, only then said that they had run out of the broken shell. I was offered something different from the menu. a few minutes later our meal and the fish cakes were underused, which was little geduld we had left. the personal said the right apologetic dinge (although with little empathy) and refunded the costs of our main course, at least something. but why should they put themselves in the position where they have to do that? the food we ate was not high quality and certainly not worth the menu prices. in an area where they are pampered for choice for large looking pubs/restaurants, the good service is the crucial factor for repetition custom. we will not eat again in st. george and dragon."

"It was my mums first time in the UK so brought her to Oxford for a nice day out, and of course I wanted her to try some proper traditional Sunday roast. So glad we came to Red Lion. The food was delicious and the portions are huge as seen in the picture. I got the chorizo pasta and that was amazing as well. Really good service and food. Would definitely recommend "

"The food at this restaurant was excellent and we were happy with the location of our table. However, on a Friday night, there was only one waitress working in the dining area, which resulted in understaffing. We had to keep going to the bar to get her attention in order to place our orders. The manager should consider adding more staff to improve the dining experience."

"Took my wife with kids for her 50th birthday party after the place has been refurbished. My wife and I had starters and asked for our kids meals to come at the same time. Both kids ordered sausages and mash one asked for no gravy and the other asked could it be in a separate dish just in case she did not like it. The waiter assured us it came separate. Two meals came one had the gravy poured all over it, that is not served separate as asked for and confirmed by the waiter. So my daughter had to wait for the right meal to come. Allowing for the fact they were kids meal to serve only one sausage is ridiculously mean. The waiter later explained he made a mistake when taking the order so we accepted it as he was a nice guy. I had carrot and coriander soup. It was tasty and a fair portion. My wife had whipped goats cheese and it was an embarrassing portion. Absolutely tiny amount of goats cheese. We then waited circa 50 mins for our mains to come. I had the fig roast, which was very tasty but the sprouts weren’t cooked. My wife had the sea bass fillets which again was nice but the potatoes were not properly cooked. Deserts were nice and tasty. Overall okay but they must do much better. We never put quantity over quality but the portions were just too miserable, the service slow and the chef should not send out vegetables not cooked properly especially when you wait so long for your main course. Won’t rush back"

"Having been satisfied with Oblix West many times, we wanted to spend my partner 's birthday indulging the Afternoon Tea at Oblix East. Unfortunately, the food quality is underwhelming the desserts are too sweet most importantly despite our booking being for 2h, we were asked to leave after 1.5h, due to change in their booking system for all new bookings from 2h to 1.5h this does not seem to be true as the website still shows all new future bookings being for 2h. 1.5h felt very rushed given the level of swetness of food. Quite a shame this side of Oblix could not maintain its standard."

"I had a wonderful Mother's Day celebration at this restaurant with my mom and sisters. We were initially disappointed when we were seated in a dark and dingy corner and had to use our phone torches to read the menu. The flower on our table was also wilted. However, after speaking with a staff member, we were moved to a brighter table and the rest of the evening was fantastic. The food and service were excellent. We all opted for the special Mother's Day menu, which offered a great selection of dishes over three courses. We all chose the Sirloin of Beef Roast for our main course, which was served with a variety of delicious vegetables and a Yorkshire Pudding. The beef was perfectly cooked. The desserts were also amazing, with options like Apple and Damson Crumble, Lemon Posett, and Sticky Toffee Pudding, all of which were delightful. The staff were friendly, polite, and respectful, providing excellent service throughout the meal. A big thank you to the Pheasant Team for a memorable dining experience."

"we both found the dessert the highlight of our meal and remembered our school days. we have both decided for the heavenly ripple chocolate mousse, which was absolutely heavenly. I loved celestial nasty as a child and from any inexplicable reason had forgotten his existence in the last decades or something. the sweet celestial taste, which was cut through the chocolate, was divine and had both of us in raptures."

"Riverside Delight!. Well situated venue, beautiful decor with an upstairs and outside decking with balcony. Ideal spot for an afternoon lunch during the summer and just as good inside in the spacious nicely lit interior. Large menu accomodating most tastes, all with grand titles instead of the bland burger in a bun . Does cater for children but is more enticing to the mature eaters. Food always well prepared and presented and of generous portions. Staff are always welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. The team there seem to run a good ship with all the staff providing to the overall feel of the place. Would suggest calling to book in advance if with a group as this place can get busy, however you do have the grand bar for a drink if you don 't mind the wait. Good food, good service and right on the riverside. Strongly recommended for couples or mature family meals."

"The vegan options are honestly disappointing. It feels as though vegans are disregard with basic options which are not good value. I would love to see the next revised menu with interesting and intriguing vegan options, as many of my family and friends love the herm, but as a vegan I am not excited about any of the food available. I have given the 5 stars I feel the hermitage deserves, from the service and atmosphere, with the hope of an enticing vegan menu in the future. Update. The new vegan options are still disappointing."

"We were quite disappointed with our dinner. Overall, it seemed like the staff was more focused on catering to a large birthday party, as we had to wait 45 minutes for our main course, which was underwhelming given the price. Various waiters brought us our main courses, desserts, and coffee, making us feel neglected. When we requested Slimline tonics, they only brought regular tonic water. The drink glasses were dull and lacked any sparkle. Additionally, we were seated in a gloomy corner that lacked any atmosphere, which really didn't impress us at all."

"Went to dinner and was asked about allergies. The chef amended a dish to suit, but unfortunately, it was not as both I and the chef anticipated. The dish was exchanged for a delicious fish dish at no additional charge. The waiter was attentive and very friendly. To top it all, they reduced the bill, too, even though there was no need to. Excellent food with fantastic service. Highly recommend"

"Really happy to see this chain- Country Inn’s- offering vegan menus, I think it’s fabulous. However, the ‘Curry’ I received for £13- yes more than a curry house- was an insult. It was a pile of clumpy rice with a small serving spoon size of sauce and some boiled vegetables underneath. I actually felt really angry when I saw it- they think it is acceptable to charge £13 for this; I still believe it’s because it’s from the Vegan menu and they think we will be too nice to say anything! Wrong! It was sent back and exchanged for a tasty but small harissa burger. They either need to drop their extortionate prices or make the portions bigger."

"We 've had really good visits to the Willy Wicket in the past but the most recent visit was a major disappointment. Arrived at noon for lunch on a weekday but staff were not ready to receive guests and we had to ask to be seated. When I asked about the lunchtime menu which was advertised online, staff were unable to locate or produce a paper menu for us to look at. Food for 3 people took over 40min to arrive and only after we enquired about it. We were the first table to order that lunchtime but another table was served before us. When I queried this, the supervisor was very abrupt in her response and said this was because we had ordered a steak (I didn 't think it took that long to cook a steak, even a well-done one! . She seemed to imply that the delay was our own fault for ordering the steak in the first place but none of the staff had made it clear that the steak would take that long to cook. We had intended to stay for dessert but after being given dessert menus, nobody came back to take our orders so we ended up leaving after paying at the bar (again because there was nobody around to ask for the bill . The supervisor studiously avoided us for the rest of our visit and did not check back in with us at any point afterwards. I submitted a complaint after the visit but there was no apology forthcoming or reassurance that the issues I highlighted would be addressed, only a voucher for £10 which felt a bit like a 'payoff ' to keep me quiet. £10 barely covers the price of one main meal! I don 't think we 'll be back again in the future given our recent experience which is a shame because previous visits have been lovely especially when Charlotte and her team were waiting tables."

"Friendly greeting, excellent service throughout. It’s not often that you get served delicious complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic so it’s a really nice touch. We had a excellent meal and I’d certainly recommend the raspberry cosmopolitan cocktail. We will be back!"

"Didn’t realised it was Sunday roast day. But it’s fine. We like roasts. Starter was ok, my husband had prawn cocktails and I had mushroom. Main my husband had pork and I had roast chicken instead of beef. They listen to what I want it and delivered. Parsnip was super nice, but Yorkshire was almost burnt. We had profiteroles for dessert, it was tasteless tho, she said with Bailey chocolate sauce but I can’t taste the Bailey. Service was brilliant and the waitress also happy and chatty."

"VISIT DATE: 01/06/2024 VISIT TIME: 18:00 20:30 Visited this branch of Zizzi as a get together of colleagues from my work Christian staff network. There were 9 of us in total and the restaurant was easily able to accommodate us as it had ample seating. The food is standard for Zizzi pizza, pasta and other options, all very nicely prepared, but portion sizes are not generous and I find their pizza and pasta fairly bland, so I went for the pork belly with hot honey glaze, starved with potatoes and green beans, which was really nice, but I could definitely have done with more potatoes! For dessert I enjoyed the caramel cheesecake and I also had a passion fruit mocktail, which was nice. Plus points: Service was prompt and staff were attentive. Large number of tables so can accommodate large groups. Kids options available. Accessible entry and accessible toilet, with baby change. Negatives: Accoustics not great so was hard to hear people clearly at times. Regular toilets down a reasonable number of stairs and, due to lighting choices, looked kinda dingey."
