Succulent lobster meat blended with a touch of mayo and spices, served in a soft, buttery roll for a taste of coastal delight.

"I mean, it's Simon Rogan, so the food will be great, right? Yes, it is. The service will be great, right? Yes, it is. Their wine list will be great, right? Oh, it absolutely is! It is all of these things. The setting, however, is a bit special: Linthwaite House sits on a hilltop overlooking Lake Windermere, which as everybody will rightly tell you is simply stunning! And, finally, a small anecdote: our first visit there was during the height of Covid angst. We were traveling through and just wanted to grab a quick bite (they offered a bar menu served on the terrace only). As we were driving, I only had a glimpse at the wine list and spotted a pretty special Riesling, available obviously only by the bottle *sigh*. Alas, the friendly sommelier produced a nice contraption allowing us to re seal the rest of the bottle for us to take away. Going the extra step. As Rogan's folks do. Even on a hilltop during Covid."

"We were staying in the area last year and tried this restaurant and really enjoyed it so went back last week when we were back in London. And this time our experience was even better. We were eating a bit early because we were leaving the next day, so got there at about 6:30 were given a very nice table at the window. Our waiter was frankly a delight he was efficient, friendly and quite funny. We decided to splurge on slightly larger lobsters with their fabulous butter and it felt like a real feast. We tried the lobsters with one half grilled and one half steamed while the grilled side is a bit dryer, it has that grilled flavour that reminds you of outdoor eating. We shared the calamari starter and had a bottle of wine and this was not by any means our most expensive dinner in London well worth it."

"We began with the shrimp and calamari starters, both of which were beautifully presented. The sauces paired perfectly with the dishes. The calamari was perfectly tender, although I personally prefer mine with a bit more firmness. Regardless, they were delicious. For my main course, I ordered the surf and turf with half a lobster, which was absolutely insane in terms of flavor. However, there was a small hiccup with my order. The young waiter confirmed that my steak was a sirloin when I asked, and I requested it to be cooked medium with the fat strip cooked a bit longer. Unfortunately, he misunderstood and thought it had no fat. When my meal arrived, it was indeed a sirloin with a fat strip that was more cooked than I prefer. Despite that, the steak was perfectly medium and very tasty. The butter sauce that accompanied the half lobster was amazing, complementing both the lobster and the steak beautifully. The only disappointment was that they didn’t have an English mustard available, which I personally feel is essential when enjoying steak. It's surprising that so many restaurants, especially Argentine steakhouses, don't offer it. However, the flavor of the steak was so good that it didn't take away from the overall experience. My friend ordered the whole lobster meal, which unfortunately came with two different claws. One claw was large and impressive, while the other was surprisingly small for the size of the lobster. While it’s clear that the restaurant tries to maximize their offerings by using various cuts of the lobster, it’s still an acceptable practice. The staff was attentive and friendly, though slightly inexperienced, but I admired their diligence. I will definitely return, likely to order the same dishes again. Next time, I’ll bring my own English mustard since I can't fully enjoy a steak without it. In summary, if you're a seafood lover, this place is a must-visit. It’s the best spot for affordable seafood in a great atmosphere!"

"Travelled from London to meet friends who live local to Kent, and arrived hangry due to engineering works on the trains. Suffice it to say, the staff were lovely and accommodating, and I had some of the best fish and chips. We couldn't have asked for better in terms of quality of food, and value for money pound for pound. The meal set the scene for a lovely day along the Kent Coast. Will come back here again."

"This restaurant is a lovely and inviting spot where you can enjoy fresh and delicious dishes. There are already numerous positive reviews about the food, but I must mention the high-quality items available here, including incredibly fragrant honey from a local producer that is definitely worth purchasing. These products are not typically found on supermarket shelves. I highly recommend trying the crab sandwich or lobster roll, but instead of rushing to eat, consider taking a stroll by the sea, as we did."

"This is hands down my favourite restaurant in London. We keep coming back for more, and despite trying some of the more hyped restaurants in East London, nothing has compared. The staff are lovely fun, and the chefs know how to make you have an experience with your taste buds, beyond that of several Michelin star restaurants I’ve been to. The Gnudi is trippy it brings you on this journey from the wood fired mountain smokiness, down to Toscany with this sauce filled gnocchi like glory, to southern Italy with its perfect blushes tomatoes, pesto and pine nuts. Everyone who comes gets addicted to the artichoke. The potato bread and butter is like heroin, the crab, the fried chicken and the lamb also divine. Great wine selection, and the smoked bacon old fashioned blows your mind."

"I love quay commons, but I think today will be the last time I ever go there. the quality of the service has been steadily declining for some time, and this is the youngest in a series of about five extremely disappointing visits, and I have just done to give them the advantage of the doubt. I ordered today a bagel along with a piece of quiche, totalling over when I started eating, I noticed that what was described on the menu was not actually present in my bagel, so I took it to the counter to ask if there was a mistake. in the round was the answer no, we don't do it anymore, but the menu has not been updated for months. So, instead of telling customers in advance, they only do something different than what was ordered, they anticipate the payment and hope nobody says anything. there was no announcement of apology or confirmation that this could be a problem, or suggestion, next, the conversation was over to my server. I asked for a refund for the bagel I didn't want to be special. I gave my teller back, it was thrown without word into the container, along with my half-beating quiche, and I never left behind, I don't think I was inappropriate, I even suggested that how she had difficultities into the, until I had a refund, I would be happy if she just made a coffee on the house and took the bagel away. the way I was received made me feel like I was wrong when I thought I should have at least say whether elements are replaced in the menu or the menu is simply inaccurate to give me the opportunity to order something else."

"Very busy branch mostly people with rolling suitcases waiting to buy food and a drink to take on a train. The new range of gluten free dairy free soups (look for lamps on container not shelf are fabulously tasty for autumn. Used to get a no gluten containing salad here as a stop gap or run over to st Pancras for an M&S gluten free sandwich but these soups save me that trouble, not at all a pleasant sitting area for a sandwich -buy items to go and take to train (and save the VAT!"

"This chic and fashionable restaurant is located in the Hotel de Havelet and features a private terrace that offers stunning views of the bay and Castle Cornet. It's a lovely spot for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or evening cocktails. During our stay at the hotel, we enjoyed a delightful breakfast and a pleasant dinner. The brasserie-style cuisine was excellent, and we particularly savored the seafood, which included octopus salad, mussels, and sea bass, followed by a delicious chocolate dessert with ice cream."

"I have walked by Smack several times and several times I’ve been with someone who wasn’t as into eating their weight in lobster rolls as I was. Then finally! The fates were looking favorably upon me in a moment when I walk by alone and I was famished. It was linner (lunch and dinner. It’s not a thing, I checked on twitter, but I’m making it a thing) and my original destination, although only a block away was too far. So, I ducked into Smack and out of the rain. Created by the wonderful magicians at Burger and Lobster (you can read my review of them here) Smack is everything you want in a lobster roll without having to wait. However, a tad pricey at £12/pop £3 for sweet potato...read more"

"I want to start by mentioning the kind gentleman, "Honey Butter," who treated us to delicious treats for my roommate's birthday at this restaurant. The food here is absolutely delicious! I ordered Joe's slider duo with chipotle chicken and speck, while my roommate ordered the same but with corn-rib-hack and poached eggs. The sliders were perfectly toasted and bursting with flavor. We also enjoyed Belgian waffles with Nutella, strawberries, bananas, and chocolate, banana, butter pecan toppings. The waffles were divine, especially with the fresh fruit. The berries were incredibly ripe and tasty. Another friend got the heavenly French toast, which she raved about and even brought some home. We also tried the lobster roll eggs benedict and western fries, all of which were exceptional. The food here is top-notch in taste, quality, and seasoning. We are already planning to return this Saturday. Can't wait!"

"the service manager was very nice and took my booking and was very professional during my dinner. I was a bit afraid of ratings on tripadvisor because of the reviews of the lobster. they were right. it was rubbery and not edible. it was very hard to get it even out of the dish. it went back. for someone with a limited menu they need to make simple things good. that was extremely poor. the server was over sharp and not in contact with what was going on with our meal. it felt all very hurried and let the night and eat experience down. the obligor has made a reasonable job on harm limitation, like one of the male server. I will not go back in a hurry."

"A lovely burger and fantastic beach. Cafe Mor has a really cool vibe to it. It is situated in the car park with surfers, walkers and beach goers all queuing for freshly made food. We opted for the mor burger which was really nice. I would have liked the lobster burger but felt at £18.50, I couldn't justify it. I am sure it would be delicious if you did take the plunge. We got our burger and then headed to the beach which was stunning. Lots of surfers, dogs and people all collectively doing their thing while we sat took in the sun and enjoyed our burger...perfect Phipps' tips... dogs are allowed on the beach, they do accept card, the car park is free although does get full, there is a decent corona prevention system in place as it is outdoors with plenty of space, take your food to the beach, harry potter was filmed on the beach, great for surfers but....you can never guarantee the weather."

"I visit this restaurant every day and the staff are absolutely amazing - friendly and quick. They provide the best service out of any coffee shop I've been to. The team is great. However, the only disappointment is that someone in charge has recently required the staff to cover their earrings, nose studs, etc. with blue plaster. The staff are clearly unhappy about this decision. It was based on feedback from a mystery shopper and a regional manager prioritizing scores over the team's well-being. No other coffee shop, cafe, or food retailer in Uxbridge, Kingston, Epsom, or Sutton enforces this rule. Please allow your staff to express themselves and do away with the unnecessary blue plaster requirement."

"What an amazing restaurant! The staff were friendly and the food was outstanding. This is definitely the best meal I've ever had. The tempura oyster with black garlic mayo is a must-try dish. The highlight of the meal was the surf and turf, with the steak cooked perfectly and melting in your mouth. We had it with chips and mac and cheese, which may seem like a strange combination but it was delicious and not to be missed. And be sure to save room for dessert - the sticky toffee pudding was incredible. This restaurant is a must-visit, I will definitely be returning to Cornwall just to dine here again!"

"sutton Sons’ (s S)-Fischer were founded in 1998 in the stoke newington high street and with the woman hana 2010 opened her first restaurant all over the street, which served the freshest fish and chips in london and remained sustainably responsible. Previously, I had written about s s after visiting her boxpark. after that I listened to how great they were, and even called them to serve the best fish and chips in the city. when I caught the wind that they opened a third location in islington and was invited for a shot down, you can imagine that I was pretty excited. like its predecessors, the Islington menu reads like a fish and chip lover Christmas list with a lot of fritted fish, all coated with their own special battery and served with fresh hand-cut cloby chips. for the calorie counters there is also the possibility to grill the fish. for those who are looking for something else, but also baked whitebait, tempoura garnelen and chip shop classics such as cakes and broken sausages are also with specialities such as the thunfischburger, lobster sub, grilled oysters and moules marinière sitting next to. After I had tried the S S-fishing and chips, I went tonight to command the fresh thun-fishing burger and the lobster sub-part. it was hard to turn off the fish and chips (they were soou good), but I was not disappointed. the thunfischburger was beautiful and so fresh he tasted as if the fish had just jumped on my plate from the ozean. in truth this was not far from reality, as the fish delivery to s s probably happened that tomorrow and next, matthew (site manager, cook and all round top type) me from a massive steak out of a huge plate thunfisch ready for my grubby hands. That's good with me, thank you. the lobster roll, filled with mayonnaise dressed lobster with a Cajun sprinkle, was just as delicious and was so rich, I could not help but just inhale. our night ended with one of the tasty homemade desserts by frau sutton, which tonight is a sticky toffee pudding with vanilleeis and sitting in a pool of caramel sauce. Oh, my days was a triumph! a template sticky toffe pudding from there ever was one and one particular recommendation from me. so another location, another winner for s s s, who quickly begin to be the place to get qualitatiw high quality seafood in london. there is now less and less reason not to find out for yourself. come and follow me on twitter @annixontong and @wetrykai and on instagram @annixontong."

"The crab claws were absolutely delicious—rich and flavorful. We started by sharing a portion, and for the main course, we had the classic fish and chips. The fish was well-cooked, fluffy, and encased in a light, crispy batter. The chips were golden and crispy, with a wonderfully fluffy interior and plenty of flavor. The staff were attentive and welcoming from the moment we arrived at this charming harborside restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and I would definitely recommend stopping by."
