"My friend and I went for bottomless brunch yesterday afternoon. The food was delicious - I had the chicken burger and my friend had the breakfast. The raspberry cooler was amazing, especially with a splash of my friend's constantly flowing Prosecco. The staff were lovely, and our server Michael was cheerful and polite. "came here to see and refuel a game. most of the vegan options were very valuable, the nachos I ordered were fiery and tasty and were just around £4. I do not recommend the vegan mac and cheese the portion size was almost two single layers of pasta in a small dish, for the double price. a good place to stop when they are with carnivores or just want to eat a bit fast in the opposite."

"Perfectly reasonable town centre craft orientated beer and 'tap ' room albeit the so called crafts are mainly beers owned by the corporates. Still nice enough place, good tv screens, wish customers could control the latter on their table. Ours went from kids stuff, to NFL which we wanted but then to horse racing"

"On Saturday, May 29, I visited for lunch and was truly impressed by the adherence to COVID-19 regulations, along with the speedy table service. I enjoyed nachos, sweet potatoes, and a delightful coconut cocktail. The food was fresh and delicious. Although I'm not a big sports fan, I brought my book, and I appreciated that there are plenty of tables available where you don't have to sit near a screen if you prefer not to. I believe this place has a fantastic atmosphere, especially when it's busy and there's an event happening, and I would love to come back again!"

"Wow! We celebrated my mother's 60th birthday here, and the manager and staff were absolutely fantastic. They were incredibly courteous, and the food was delicious—everything was perfect. We ordered plates for a large group, and I couldn't have asked for a better place. It’s nice, clean, and ideal for a birthday celebration. The DJ played a great selection of music as well. A big thank you to the manager and her brilliant team! I would highly recommend this place for any special occasion. It made my mother's night truly memorable!"

"Visited TDH on a Sunday. Got seated immediately. We ordered a roast dinner platter with all the trimmings and lamb shoulder for £100. On the pricier side. This platter is good for 3 people. It was so delicious but slightly over oily. The cabbage and sprouts are to die for! The meat falls off the bone is tender and juicy. I ordered a champagne cocktail expecting it to be a bellini or something creative but it was underwhelming and literally a glass of sparkling wine with a brown sugar cube plopped at the bottom of the glass. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. They kept checking up on us to see if we needed anything if the food was good. Drink service was veryyyy slow. Interior is so pretty! I would go again to try their seafood; I've heard great things"

"We visited on the 27th December for a late lunch, our party was 5 adults and a 7 year old. We were sat in a booth- a bit of a tight squeeze and did result in some kind of elbow jousting game that we could have done without. We ordered our drinks (a must try is the strawberry and mint margarita which did take a while to arrive; this was an ongoing issue and most probably down to the fact that their very competent bar man was making drinks for the whole restaurant with 4-5 servers sending through orders all the time. Our food was amazing, we ordered a platter for 2- this is well worth the price tag and lets you try many different dishes without the headache of trying to choose! Our son had a burger from the kids menu which he devoured (all parents reading this will be well aware of how rare this can be . We had no room for pudding so cannot comment on these. I would most definitely recommend this restaurant for their food and drinks but would suggest to the management that they do a bit more training with their FOH staff to tighten up their service to avoid communication issues and a feeling of neglect."

"Lovely lunch, although it would have been nice to be told what veg we would be given, as my partner didn't like red cabbage. I did not want to say anything and embarrass anyone. My lamb was delicious and his mixed roast was good too. Service excellent. The only thing was it was quite dark in the restaurant. Think it was an old building. Will go back."

"The food : Amazing. I had the Outlaw cocktail, a very good and tasty discovery (good idea, well mixed , the Pigeon with pistachios may have a been a tiny dry but maybe I don't know how pigeons should be eaten ! The venison was very good, the red wine excellent, and the Lanark blue also very good. My friend had the fish and the sticky toffee pudding which was one of the best I ever tasted (even if a tiny bit too sweet . The location : we had the chance to sit next to a window with a direct view on the castle. By night, this is very romantic. In general, the restaurant is very romantic, classy, chic, clean. It was a cold evening in January so the restaurant was very calm, but warm : and has a lot of space. The service : absolutely perfect. Someone attends to you when you arrive, offers to take your coat (there's a place for it downstairs , then you go upstairs to eat and someone else takes care of you for the entire evening. They were all very nice, available and give you good advice on the food and drinks. A pleasant meal in a nice place with great service !"

"One of the best brunch spots we visited was this pub, which has recently undergone a beautiful renovation. The interiors are stunning, and the atmosphere is lively and welcoming. The brunch options were fantastic, featuring a variety of drinks like prosecco, espresso martinis, handcrafted beer, and more. Karina was exceptional, ensuring our glasses were always full and checking in to make sure we were happy. The food was delicious; we both opted for the full English breakfast, which was perfection. "The Anchor is in many ways your typical English pub it is a welcoming and friendly place and the interior is well decorated giving a warm atmosphere. However it not a particularly family orientated place and you don 't see many young children here. This pub is fairly large when you compare it to others, which makes it good if you are desperate for a seat as there are plenty! There are also a few pool tables at the back, as well as a typical fruit machine, and it is a popular place for both adults and students alike to relax in at any time of the day. Every Monday this pub puts on a pound a pint night, which for one night a week attracts a much more studenty crowd and with cheap prices what can you expect! Also to cater for students, they offer a cheap menu with deals such as 'two meals for £5.50 ', making it an easy option to eat in! Students and the general public who are 18+ are catered for well. I personally find going to this pub a pleasurable and enjoyable experience, and on a Monday night it is great fun if you and your friends are out and fancy a more sociable environment."

"I discovered this brunch spot on Instagram and decided to take my partner for a birthday celebration after visiting Horizon 22 (Scenic point). The restaurant is full of quirky features, but I particularly enjoyed the display of speakers and the words on the stairs. Our host, Edward, was delightful - very polite and friendly. He even offered an alternative option for my meal and shared inspiring stories about his life journey. Edward's exceptional customer service makes him a valuable asset to the restaurant. The location, across from Liverpool Street station, is also fantastic."
