"We booked the upper floor space for our daughter's 21st family birthday party and had a fantastic evening. The room was beautiful and we would like to thank John Phelan and his team for their help and support in making the party a success. The functional space is amazing, in a great location with a private bar. The staff were attentive and the buffet was good and affordable. We are proud and would recommend this place for private parties. Thank you again, John and team."

"Do not eat or drink here! Pints were £7 each to start. Please see photo for what I think was luke-warm coleslaw. The chips were cold with all 4 of our burgers. Burgers were pretty good though and they show sport on A LOT of screens. Ketchup was cheap sachets and we were given 3 sachets for 5 blokes eating burgers and chips...after having to ask. They also tried to wack a huge service charge on our bill when there was no table service and a very long wait at the bar. I will not be returning in a hurry."

"I treated my mother to a birthday brunch at Two Sisters restaurant last Sunday. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and given information about the brunch options, including the buffet and special brunch dishes. They even accommodated our request for turkey bacon instead of pork. I believe this is a perfect spot for a leisurely brunch, especially for a mother-daughter outing. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and top-notch service. We originally used a Groupon for our visit, but we plan on returning even without it. The experience was definitely worth it."

"Came to this specific place for an early Father’s Day celebration. Couldn’t have had a better experience. Both bartenders Amy Emily were incredible. We had booked a bottomless brunch session and they could not have been more attentive and friendly. Food came out in exceptionally quick time and couldn’t have tasted better. Both Amy Emily regularly checked if we needed top ups for our drinks and provided us with that homely welcome. Overall incredible staff, impeccable food and for a very reasonable price."

"Excellent choice for all. My 2 teenagers really enjoyed their burgers but they said that the best bit of their meal was the deep fried Orios ... Amazing! As a vegetarian I was expecting the usual bean burger/lack of choice but this wasn't so. Brilliant to actually have a choice of vegetarian options which I struggled to choose from. Eventually picked the Indian burger which was delicious. Looking forward to returning for our sons birthday meal next week so I can try one of the other veggie options. Very family friendly, great atmosphere and loved the photo's of the local area. Strongly recommended."

"I visited my elderly Mum today, she suggested going to the Derby Arms for a roast dinner as she'd eaten there recently with my sister. However they were fully booked, so I looked online and found Galu. The reviews were great and my Mum has only ever heard good things from friends and neighbours. So I called and booked for 12:45 Sunday 21st Jan 2024. We were both pleasantly surprised to see roast dinners on the menu ... Mum order lamb and I ordered beef part of their set menu. When the dinners arrived, you could see straight away that the lamb was Very Fatty (not even crispy) when my my tried eating it, it was both tough and chewy! As for the beef, this was cooked ok and edible, although I asked for the beef to be medium, but it was more well done. The waiter came over to ask if the meal was ok, I highlighted how the lamb was... the manager then came over and offered my Mum a slice of beef to compensate, bearing in mind she ordered lamb. Mum subsequently found that some of her roast potatoes were hard inside! I finished my meal, but could see Mum really didn't enjoy hers leaving a substantial amount on her plate, and having tried her lamb it really was inedible! We were then offered a full list of desserts rather than the set menu, having chocolate brownie and creme brûlée (both were gorgeous) When the bill arrived, I was hoping they would have somehow made amends, but alas no ... as Mum doesn't like to cause a fuss and it was her treat, I decided not to say anything, although the staff manager could tell we weren't happy. Having come from East Sussex for the day and regularly have great Sunday roasts in local pubs, I was hoping for something special in this restaurant, but sadly that wasn't the case. In fact it's probably one of the worst roast dinners I've had in a long time. I very much doubt we'll return ..."

"We like going to the Grange . It has a very pleasant feel and setting with nice grounds and it’s always nice to arrive there. The service is always excellent. The manageress lady with dark hair) is always very friendly as are all the staff. The manageress is exceptionally good and professional and would not be out of place running front of house in a Michelin starred place. The food is much better than when it opened and pretty good. Please bring back the chicken kimchi sandwich. That was brilliant. In terms of improvement , I feel the menu could be slightly more carnivorous . After all hearing dogs are carnivores? The menu to my taste has quite a lot of vegan options and not enough meat ones. Bring back the chicken kimchi sandwich and I’ll give you a very good. But I’m quibbling."

"Although booked 2 weeks in advance and arrived 15 minutes early my table request was ignored. There were tables free but reserved for other customers,! We were given an inappropriate table especially as one of our guests was disabled with a walker. There were other tables reserved waiting for other patrons! I protested and eventually were seated at a more appropriate table. As expected, it was very busy. I’m not sure how your system works to my advantage and would such advice."

"Positives We went for my son birthday , food was very good and service was outstanding however restaurant was quieter as we went on Monday for lunch. Atmosphere was beautiful. Complimentary dessert for my son was nice gesture. Negatives Agree with others comment re very overpriced for the drinks. A non alcoholic mock tail was 8.5£, another mock tail costed 7£ and the quantity served in a wine glass was very small. Also 12.5% service charge added to the bill which is very hard to refused. Therefore i did not pay any tip. Overall good experience but would only recommend for celebrating special occasion. For every day dining it’s very expensive."

"I really like this bar. They do a good breakfast, the bacon is delicious, but the sausage is standard, but well worth a visit. "4 of us this time, food was incredible!! We got a pepperoni pizza, cauliflower wings, Xmas wings, hallumi, calamari, festive mac n cheese, the cheeky chicken trio thing and the nachos. The wings were absolutely amazing and there was so much food for the price we paid! £75 for all of that and app 4 of us were stuff, probably could have left the pizza, nachos and mac n cheese, couldn't recommend the chicken trio more if you like wings. Only down side were somehow the nachos came out 20 mins after the rest and literally plain as anything, pretty sure I've got all the ingredients in the back of my cupboard.. not worth it, but the wings made it all up! definitely will go back"

"Our server wasnt exactly welcoming my friend asked her what the draught beers where for her to rudely flip the menu infront of him and say draught is here and stand in awkward silence until one was chosen. The food was great however I think the waitress needs more training in costomer service as it felt like we were interfering with her day. Also no Mocktails seemed to be available and when asked the reply was I'll see if the bar man has time the Mocktail that arrives was nothing more than cranberry juice with some lime in it to make it pink. Would not return."

"Won’t be back. As regulars of the Catch it is with real disappointment that I am writing this review. We regularly go with both friends and family but Sunday the 9th April was our last visit. We had purchased vouchers via Itison, a great deal but unfortunately in error had redeemed 2 £60 vouchers instead of a £60 and a £30. We asked for one voucher to be cancelled as we knew that we wouldn’t spend that much. The manager said she would try her best to get it sorted for us, the waiter then told us not to worry, even if it couldn’t be cancelled something would be sorted out for us. We therefore continued to order our usual haddock and chips. The manager came up as we were eating, apologised and said she had been unable to cancel the voucher so we would just need to order other things from the menu. I asked if it was possible for an IOU to be provided and we would return and spend the rest( and more) she told us this was not possible and we would just need to order from the menu. After telling the waiter to tell us not to worry something would be sorted, actually no it wasn’t. We were left to purchase from the dessert menu which was not great considering we were all full from our main meal and our previous experiences with this at the Catch had been extremely poor so we said we would never get a dessert from here again. We ordered 4 sticky toffee puddings and a sorbet. The sorbet was 10 scraped bits of ice cream that had freezer burn, priced at £5.50. The sticky toffee pudding was awful, it was a cold block of pudding with a thin drizzle of sauce and the smallest blob of ice cream. This was priced at £6.95. At these prices you would expect so much more and at least for it to taste good. No one came to ask how dessert was or to check in on us and we left deflated and annoyed.We will not be back!"

"Having been satisfied with Oblix West many times, we wanted to spend my partner 's birthday indulging the Afternoon Tea at Oblix East. Unfortunately, the food quality is underwhelming the desserts are too sweet most importantly despite our booking being for 2h, we were asked to leave after 1.5h, due to change in their booking system for all new bookings from 2h to 1.5h this does not seem to be true as the website still shows all new future bookings being for 2h. 1.5h felt very rushed given the level of swetness of food. Quite a shame this side of Oblix could not maintain its standard."
