"Steaks were delicious, service was good only not friendly. When the waitress explained the various steaks, she spoke quickly and with her accent made it difficult to understand. Had a voucher for a free cocktail for all four of us and was told that I could only have one. The waitress brought the manager who said the same thing until I showed her the little print of the voucher and then she gave us two. But unlike that enjoyed the meal."

"Disappointed. Arrived and host was on the phone for at least 15 mins. Didnât even acknowledge us , security door man was embarrassed by it so decided to take our coats. Once host eventually acknowledge us it was another wait to for some one to come and collect us and show us our table. Once seated it was slow to be served . Food came out in drips and drabs . Why send the rice out 10mins before the main ! As some were getting their mains , the two who ordered the wagyu beef were told it had run out so we were offered ribeye steak instead. Not a good choice . So fatty . I did enjoy the sushi I had so wasnât a complete flop . We were really looking forward to this after we had a great dinner earlier in the year at a different Ivy Asia . This St Paulâs branch was an absolute let down. Wonât be booking here again any time soon."

"Food was amazing and worth every penny! service was great until they had a shift change and we were left unattended as we had eaten by then, we had to chase for the bill and when asked it wasn't met with any words just a grunt. the original lady serving was great, she was lovely and chatty and was super. they had a good selection of drinks however this was a Saturday evening and they has run out of all sparkling wine that was served by the glass. One change i would make is to have more wine options by the glass rather than having to purchase a whole bottle. i was the only one of my party which was drinking wine and wouldn't have wanted a whole bottle to myself. overall great experience and food was amazing just a shame about the last part of our service and the lack of drink available considering it was a Saturday evening"

"I just want to pay my tributes to Maze Grill and the staff for the excellent experience we had when we visited you for dinner on New Years Eve! Me and my family felt ourself very special already from the entrance, the bar and throughout the whole dinner. Especially our headwaiter (think his name was Karnal? but also his colleagues had much to do but never failed in attention, on the contrary there where not a single second we had to wait or ask for anything. Nice details as when someone constantly have an eye if our glasses needed to be filled up or when our son dropped the fork he had a new one even faster than he could of picked it up himself from the floor. And we noticed that the staff picked up the napkins and folded it and put it back whenever someone went to toilet or so. And it never felt pushy or so, just nice and friendly discreet attention. And what about the food? The garlic shrimps for starter was great as a appetizer and the steak for main course was perfectly executed, as well as the chips and the cole slaw was to die for. Again the attention for detail was great since we had different choices all four of us. The sommelier presented the wines on an Ipad to choose from and we struck gold for choosing a red stellenbosch one. If we have anything to complain about the wine could of been a couple of degrees colder, it was room temperatur I believe. We could of said something but we didn´t since we already got our main courses. When we left Maze Grill for heading out for the fireworks the doorman helped us with a cabâŚall nice details that makes you feel happy to pay the bill even if its much more than you usually spend on a dinner as an âaverage familyâ. We will certainly visit you again and we will look for other Ramsay restaurants whenever we travel abroad again. Hope you will find a place in Stockholm to start up a new restaurant someday! "First time trying a Gordon Ramsay restaurant and definitely wouldnât go to one again! We ordered the beef wellington for two it was tough and chewy, no taste whatsoever. Mushrooms tasted burnt inside. When we told the staff we werenât happy the chef told us that fillet isnât supposed to have a taste! And it was seasoned perfectly! Very shocked as we enjoy beef wellington and fillet whenever we eat out (which is often! and we have never found it tough or tasteless anywhere else! Very disappointed as we donât live in London and travelled up just for this meal. I would recommend to anyone to avoid this restaurant! Clearly the chef doesnât know how to cook and has too big an ego to admit it!"

"I often come to gaucho and to say I was disappointed last night would be an understatement. My fiancĂŠ and I both ordered fillet steak, well I have never seen a cut of fillet steak as flat as the ones we had and the taste wasnât great either. The chips were over cooked and we couldnât eat them, the peppercorn sauce was so watery and didnât taste anything like peppercorn, I couldnât finish my meal. I wanted to make a complaint on the night as I wasnât prepared to pay for my main meal but my fiancĂŠ told me to rather write a review afterwards as he finds things like that a little embarrassing. The starter was lovely but you canât really go wrong with bread butter and the dessert was also ok. Very disappointing as we love gaucho but we wonât be going back there in a hurry. Iâm not sure if you have changed management, but a friend of mine said they went to to the one in Tower Hill not long ago and they were also very disappointed. Seems like a lot has changed which is a real shame."

"Being immediately after New Year and early in the week, the restaurant was only moderately busy and comfortably accommodated our party of 8. The service was attentive and the food was good, albeit expensive especially when one adds in side dishes [chips, vegetables etc] each circa ÂŁ4 to accompany the main courses. My main gripe is that the wine list is expensive, with the cheapest wines at ÂŁ35 and rapidly rising thereafter for wines that aren't particularly special, which in turn bumps up the service charge."

"New Years Day the restaurant was busy but didn't feel crowded, Groucho position the tables with respectful space. Our waiter was outstanding, he gave us so much attention from helping us with off menu cocktails and wine selection, to patiently talking us through the meat cuts. We opted for steaks, which came cooked to perfection (not easy to get medium rare perfect but the chef nailed it) with all the sauces which where equally incredible. Advice leave some room for dessert, Sticky toffee, cheesecake and cookie dough are all highly recommended."

"My review is solely based on the most recent visit. I have been gaucho various times and it has always been on point. Never a request turnt down, always respectfully attentive whilst not invasive which is perfect for a dinner with a loved one. My only fault was the steak on this occasion was not enjoyable and quite bland and dry. The fries were cold and the max cheese was a tad burnt, dry and crispy. Apart from that, everything else was perfect. Staff were brilliant and catered to our requests."

"We went as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children. I must admit the experience was pretty disappointing. The steak was a little over cooked, the chips were soggy (they must have been sitting under the heater for a long time) and the ribeye could have been a lot more tender. Burger was good value, chicken Milanese was over cooked. Service was great and ambience enjoyable. Itâs a nice looking restaurant and a seat near the window is recommended, there is always something to look at. Probably wonât rush back."

"We had the Kitchen Table at Maze and it was truly one of the most memorable dining experiences ever and we have been to many top-end restaurants in the major cities all over the world. The service was extremely attentive and impeccable. The food was creative and so delicious and the courses kept coming and coming. We even got to prepare our own second dessert with the pastry chef. All of the chefs came to the table and introduced their dishes. Being in the kitchen gave us the unique vantage point as how efficient and hard a successful kitchen works. I did learn that the UK Service Charge applied did not go to the staff so be prepared to provide cash gratuities to the waiter and wine steward. This dining experience is a must for foodies!!!"

"I am going to post my âÂÂtrip advisor review â because honestly I have given this too much time already. No word from my personal email to the restaurant. Vacillating between Terrible and Poor This is probably my meal at Tom's Kitchen since it opened. I am a huge long time fan of Tom Aitkens, his innovative delivery and passion about both fine food and food for the people. Some years ago he had a Fish Market/ Fish and Chippery a bit down the road on Cale Street. I have a huge amount of respect for his dedication towards sustainable food sources and sustainable fishing.. BUT if this was my meal at Tom's Kitchen this meal and the meal about months ago fall into the basket of the worst dining experiences of the Century. I only rebooked because I received an email in October that their difficulties had been sorted out. Apparently not as the meal was not only deja vu but worse. We were seated at an awful table away from the main part of the dining area despite having booked about weeks earlier. No one was seated near us for the duration of our meal. We were served the wrong bottle of champagne and when we pointed this out there was a bit of a scene. The service was very slow, and the food (well it was a Monday but the fish and chips had a fishy suspect flavour). We were actually about to pay and leave before our food arrived hoping to walk into. nearby Thai restaurant but the food arrived before we could ask for the bill. I don't know what to say. I can neither recommend the restaurant or ever even consider returning Date of visit: December"

"I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Chequers. It is unfortunate because the restaurant itself is nicely decorated and the service from the staff is professional and attentive. However, the food was a letdown. During lunch with my friends, we found that the starters were not freshly made. The main dishes with red meat were undercooked and tough, the lobster tail seemed to be frozen and had a rubbery texture with a chlorine-like taste (I took one bite and decided not to eat it due to the off taste). The chicken Milanese was burnt and very dry. I suffered from food poisoning that night as a result of my meal. Upon speaking with local friends, I discovered that none of them dine at Chequers due to the poor food quality and high prices. It was a disappointing experience as I had high hopes for this restaurant."

"At our table, we noticed that the adjacent table received STK's signature bread right away, while we hadnât even been offered any. After ordering drinks, we waited about 10 minutes before our waiter came over to ask how everything was. My husband mentioned that we were still waiting for our drinks, which arrived shortly after he asked. We ordered our meals, and my husband chose the calamari starter, which was impressively large. We both opted for steaks. As we were enjoying our conversation, another couple seated nearby received their bread and dip almost immediately. This made me wonder if we had been forgotten, so I asked a staff member if we had missed out on something.... we were indeed overlooked, but thankfully the bread came shortly after. Once our food was finally ready, it was delivered by a different waiter (a runner) to a table next to us and just left there instead of being brought to us. After a while, we managed to get another waiterâs attention to bring our food over. When our meals did arrive, they were quite nice. The asparagus was good, and the truffle fries were delightfulâhard to go wrong with deep-fried fries, really. After finishing our meals, we had empty plates in front of us for about 20 minutes. I wanted to order a warm cookie, but at that point, I had lost interest in what was meant to be a special meal, and we just wanted to return to our suite. When we finally asked for the bill, it seemed they were aware we weren't completely satisfied. The bill was ÂŁ140 after a discount (I had opted out of the optional service fee of ÂŁ17.50), but we were actually charged ÂŁ152. I didn't bother to argue about it. For a restaurant that prides itself on its service, we expected much better."

"Marion I had a wonderful valentineâs meal on our first visit to The Yellow Broom at Twemlow Green. Just loved the continental decor team who were friendly professional. The menu was tasteful inviting. We felt the restaurant had been lovingly created in a way felt like someoneâs proudly presented home, albeit on a large scale. We felt comfortable that was a big plus for anyone thinking the Yellow Broom is a bit âhigh browâ. The food was really great lovingly presented. I started with haggis Bon Bons Marion the pate with sourdough. We both had ribeye peppercorn sauce as a main the sauce was to die for. All of it was wonderful so tasty. The wine we chose was a King Rabbit Chardonnay that too was excellent. A 5 star almost but my ribeye was just a little too poor a cut for the price, whereas Marionâs was super duper, just the luck of the draw I suppose. We shall definitely be back for more spoiling."

"Visited Friday afternoon, restaurant was very quiet only a few people dining. We chose this restaurant due to a Voucher we had been given as a present. I am a vegetarian and found the set menu very limited. Starter was awful, had the beetroot one, not sure what the white food in the middle was but when you cut it just leaked white milky sauce over the plate! Partner had chicken wings, sauce was tasty but too messy and tricky to eat in a restaurant. The mains ordered, a veggie burger which was disgusting, looked liked a meat burger and was very over cooked and chewy. My partner tasted it, I took it out of the bun and just ate that and the chips which were hot and tasty. My partner had the meat burger and said it was delicious. The only saving dishes to this meal were the desserts, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie. I would rather have eaten that 3x over than what I had been dished up prior. Drinks over priced, 1 small coke in a bottle and 1 small Moretti bottle ÂŁ11 and then we had to pay service charge on top. Wouldnât return, weâve got another voucher to use but will be giving this away. Left hungry and disappointed."
