"Walking passed this evening, there where 9 of us walking passed to get out Taxi . There was a homeless person sitting trying to keep warm in this dreadful weather. The door opened from this pub, and a man threw water all over the homeless man, he was soaking. How mean and dreadful, terrible. We shall be reporting this to the police in the morning. Hope CCTV caught this It has sickened me to the stomach. Dreadful act from a member of staff how cruel and sad . Hope you fall on hard times Karma. Why not help the poor man have a heart."

"at the time in the pub sitting after the most delicious meal (lasagne followed by chocolate fudge cake compliments at the chef! also very cheap prices and generous portions. I have severe mental health and physical diseases and the personal was very nice and very accommodating. even me on the table near the disabled toilet. can't blame them, they should be proud of their excellent service and care. also the love that it is dog friendly, as I love dogs, to see all the different come, has made my day. will definitely be visited again and also bring my friends! next to the pub here. Thanks again."

"Me and my group of bingo gals were here for Boxing Day and Hogmanay. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and even though it was busy they helped us as much as they could to give us a memorable experience. For food we all had items from the Christmas menu. The crispy prawns were definitely a hit. Great atmosphere and the gals were very pleased with everything. Definitely will be back. Thanks guys!"

"Great place to pop into and get a great atmosphere. I went in around 5pm today, Sat 5th Aug. I was greeted by what i perceived to be the manager, a woman who's name i can't remember. I was then served by a tall, stout man, he was young. Dark hair and facial hair. His manner seemed a bit brusque and bordering on rude. He gave me my drink and i paid. 10 mins later i went back to the bar and asked to order food, i was served by the woman i mentioned earlier. I had some very specific requests with regard to my food order, so i discussed them and was helped very well. My food came out quickly and was very tasty. Overall a very positive experience, i will be back"

"Nice and cozy place to take a sip and get some side dishes, watching football match with friends. Large parking area behind the shop for customers. The outdoor beer garden is lovely for the sunshine day if you can find. My favourite menu are the 30 pcs BBQ chicken wings, narchos and tower of onion rings. They also have a nice live music after dinner. Get the student card for the selected discounted drinks."

"I was in the foundry for the Scotland game yesterday and the pub was brilliant that they have tvs everywhere. during the game I had a swell plate of the fish was beautiful and the part was huge my wife had the gammon and eggs and again it was really nice. after the game they had a disco and we stayed until my wife was closed over a light together with the other customers from the pub staff and we had a great time."

"We went in last saturday for a meal and a couple of pints, it 's quite a regular thing. It was quite busy and we were lucky to get a table after waiting about 5 minutes. My partner went to order and was gone some time , 20 minutes or thereabouts. I figured she must be chatting to one of the staff as we always have a good laugh with them. Then my partner came to me slightly distressed , she was having trouble getting served even after 20 minutes stood at the bar. She was stood at the corner and the bar staff were seemingly only serving those at the front of the bar, even though my partner had been stood waiting to be served some 15 minutes before a lot of them. She shouted out to the barstaff ' are you serving '? The responded with 'you don 't get served any quicker by shouting ' and repeated this mantra style , trying to wind my partner up, which they did and regretably my partner told one of them to where to go. She realised this was wrong but she is registered disabled and in constant pain and can 't stand for long periods. She didnt want any favours for being disabled, she is too proud to ask for them. All she wanted was to be served when it came to her turn, which was clearly not happening. When I confronted the barman he said 'we don 't really serve here ' I said 'I know, I can see ' He then produced a ' Glass collection only ' placard, 20+ minutes too late. he said it was a non serving area even though there was a visa card machine there on the bar and we 've always been served there before without any problem . On our way out I just happened to look behind me to see 'Sydney ' a female member of the barstaff give the finger and saw her mouth ' off ' Now does anybody think a person like that should be working in the leisure industry ? All 3 of the barstaff were incompetent in my eyes and need a talking to or re-training. We went for a pleasurable night out, not aggro, we 're in our 60 's not yobs. We spent about £20, not a lot I know, we would have stayed longer and spent double that, still not a lot but every little counts. And as for bringing my grandkids here for a treat total spend £40+ I don 't think that 'll happen again. I see the pub wants to increase it 's taking by £2000 every week . . It ain 't gunna happen with abusive barstaff that you had on that night. Thank you. Brian. Ps I emailed and texted the manager to see if we could solve this issue amicably. NO REPLY which says a lot. Pps I hear Darleys do good meals."

"first. ice cold with other customers was also complaining about eating with their moms how we visited for our Christmas party! our ancestors came and were average, had to develop our own garnel and send out what is not really acceptable for a £6.50 starter to find that they were actually quite tasteless. after a very long waiting period came the main course. what a catastrophe! a steak demanded rare, came on the outside burned and raw on the inside so that it hard and indefinable, two more steaks asked medium, came chew and done well. accompanied by limp lettuce from a description. the accompanying sauces were also disappointing. chips were ok. No one came during our meal to ask if it was okay. so that a member of our party must go and find someone who tells them how disappointing our food was. at this point everyone else was cold and hungry and had made a decision we wanted to go. we got 50% discounted from our food bill, but since this was our Christmas meal, it put a damper on our evening. we will not recommend oaks or return!"

"As always, the meal I ordered from Ramsgate Tandoori this evening was absolutely excellent. It was hot, of good quality, delicious, and there was plenty of it. Unfortunately, my josh spilled in my purse, causing quite a mess when the lid came off. A large portion of my meal was lost in the chaos. Despite that, I'm still happy. Excellent food from wonderful people."

"Visited today with family for a Father’s Day meal. The food was delicious not to mention the 241 cocktails. The venue was decorated for Father’s Day with balloons, candles and flowers on the tables and each dad received a box of chocolates and a dad badge which made it extra special. "Very disappointing all round. I’ve been so impressed by the Chef before lockdown. Delicious appealing dishes full of flavour. We chose not to have alcohol so we could fully taste the food. His vegan menu selection I thought unappealing and far too light for grown up diners who need proper protein balanced vegan food. To enjoy food I need enticing aromas rising from each dish. There were none. I’m not a vegan as I’m 75 and observe that nutritionists advise me to include some animal protein including red meat to provide me with essential nutrients. But I enjoy vegan food… when it’s flavoursome and has gorgeous aromas.. think hot freshly roasted crispy skin of chicken/duck/potatoes/roast onion. I cannot recommend the current menu. Leaving this aside, why is it some French waiters put down their diners? They’ve a reputation for arrogance they deserve on the evidence of my experience here. Most uncomfortable. So all together for the reasons I’ve explained I cannot recommend this restaurant. CH"

"I stopped by this pub for a quick bite. Sadly, they didn’t have any cakes, which I had hoped to try. However, they offered a Tuesday burger lunch deal that the woman behind the bar recommended. The portion of chips was somewhat small, but everything else was fresh and really good. You can't beat the value at just £6.99 for a burger, chips, and a soft drink!"

"I had a fabulous lunch at Murdos with the girls! The food was amazing—delicious mac and cheese, tasty waffle fries, and the Katsu chicken was fantastic. The fish and chips were good too. We ended up chatting for over four hours! When we arrived, the place was bustling with groups enjoying lunch, and it was filling up again for dinner by the time we left. "We have not eaten at the Old Post Office.....and will not be doing so in the future. From the management down this establishment is so poorly operated. "this was our second visit and the standard of the food has decreased considerably. we had the same as before, the smokeys platter. the ribs were hard and overlooked. the brisket dry and chicken leg bland. the black rate was the best on the plate. the plate was also smaller than before. the service was not present, we had to ask for cutlery for our eating. we were not asked how our food was or we wanted more drinks etc....the atmosphere was very quiet. we could hardly hear behindground music. Unfortunately we won't come back, we were a group of six couples."

"The atmosphere was far too loud, with speakers blaring everywhere. The football was on, and once it finished, they could have turned the TV down. While we could have requested this, we were hesitant to do so since we weren't locals. The food portions were quite small, and the fries were very pale and unappetizing. It might be okay for a quick stop, but unfortunately, I can't recommend it. Sorry!"

"Celebrated multiple birthdays on a Saturday night, we were a party of 8. The table layout was perfect not closed in plenty of space around as the pub wasn't crowded. Very impressed with the menus that were available covering vegan and gluten free options. The choice of food and drinks were fabulous and the dishes we had were cooked and presented very well. The staff were helpful, friendly with nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed."
