"I think what shows is this is a restaurant with strong ambitions. I 'm told the menu has been recently revised, and its a fine menu with an inventive flare. The visiting menu is a very nice concept, that I hope they will continue with. Portion sizes are a little on the smaller side, you will want the starter, but I think this is partly reflected in the pricing which are on the low of average for Kensington. The food is well executed, and flavourful, presentation is good. Service was slightly green, did absolutely everything right (a rare thing), but maybe just not perfectly cohesively. Atmosphere is very pleasant. In summary, its actually a very nice restaurant. PS. The toilets are outstanding!"

"I reserved a table using your website, when we arrived there was no sign of any booking. The waiter was very slow at taking orders and we kept getting wrong food orders being sent to our table I ordered a Mokito which I asked for without ginger beeer, anyway the waiter turns up with a cocktail which contains alcohol and as a Muslim alcohol is forbidden in my religion and on top of that I’m pregnant. I had one sip and the waiter realised it was the wrong drink and quickly took it back and changed it. There was a some sort of party going on and they put us two tables away and It was just to loud. Ordered starters which tasted like microwave food, and then the mains took over an hour to come. Very poor service!"

"Our multi generational family group really enjoyed our meal here recently. They are a family run restaurant specialising in traditional Lebanese and Syrian food. The menu is quite comprehensive to say the least, and not being *that* familiar with the cuisine of this region we opted for a few starter dishes we'd heard of (such as Babaghanouj) together with some others we hadn't. Sharing everything was a great way to try multiple things and I'd recommend it here as there were some really tasty discoveries. For mains, most of us chose a kebab in one form or another, with separate servings of salad and rice (the Mujadara rice whole lentils rice cooked in vegetable oil spices, topped with fried onions was really good). As an added bonus, you can bring your own alcohol with you the corkage is only £1 a bottle. They also stock a range of Lebanese wines and beers as well as some mainstream beers. Given how popular the restaurant was on a Sunday evening goes to show they cook and serve great food. We'll definitely be returning here."

"Had an early dinner at Zorba last Friday, this was my second visit and we were extremely happy with our experience. We were feeling hungry, opted for the chicken platter and mixed meze, the food was excellent and the portions were such that we still had a good doggybag to take away. "After booking through OpenTable, I received a call to confirm my reservation. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was greeted by delightful smells and a great atmosphere. We were led to our table where we were informed about the specials and had our choice of wine and water brought to us. The staff, who were happy and friendly, went out of their way to accommodate a family group next to us who were ordering various dishes from the menu. We opted for the steak meal for two, which was cooked perfectly, and enjoyed a bottle of Rose. I highly recommend trying the Dianne Sauce with your steak. The dessert was also delicious and the attentive and cheerful staff were more than willing to cater to our every need. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant and will return next time I am in the area. Thank you for a wonderful evening."

"Best pizza in Southeast London! This review is long overdue for our family's favorite spot, which we've been visiting for about three years. The pizzas are incredibly authentic, absolutely delicious, and offer fantastic value. What truly sets this place apart from the competition, aside from the amazing food, are the wonderful employees. Klaudia is exceptionally friendly and always greets us with a warm smile. She has a special connection with our 10-year-old daughter, making her feel extra special. They even create beautiful treats like heart-shaped pizzas for birthdays and serve refreshing limoncello. Alban, when he’s not busy cooking those amazing pizzas, is also very welcoming and always makes us feel appreciated. We can't recommend this place enough; it's perfect for regular family visits. "I have been coming to this restaurant on and off for a few years, and every time I have encountered issues. Despite this, I kept coming back because the food is actually quite good. However, my most recent visit yesterday was the final straw. It seems like this establishment does not learn from its mistakes. I was told that I could no longer request a cocktail that was not on the menu (which had never been an issue before) because the waitress was unfamiliar with it. The food for my family of four arrived quickly, so quick that our drinks (1 lemonade, 2 mocktails, and 1 cocktail) had not yet been served. After inquiring about them, we were told that the barman was new. Despite this, we had to ask twice for a jug of water in the meantime, as we had no beverages. Strangely, the barman had no trouble making drinks for a couple who arrived after us. Our drinks still had not arrived after 45 minutes, and when they did, they came after we had already finished our meal. We sent them back. After speaking with one of the managers, who acknowledged our frustrations and attributed the issues to staff shortages due to illness (not new staff), we paid and left. To the owners of Blue Zenzer, you run a subpar business and should consider closing. It is clear that the customer is not a priority for you, and it feels like you take us for granted. Harrow would not miss your presence."

"Worst restaurant ever, never recommend it even if they offer free meals. First of all, we came to Glasgow with my family for the weekend, we were a group of 12 people and 2 children. We called the restaurant to make a reservation because of the large number of people but they told us reservation cannot be made over the phone and it’s first comes first served. We walked in to the restaurant with no welcoming at all! No one welcomed us and when we said we want a big table, they asked us to wait and they will see if they can accommodate it. The restaurant was not very busy so they could’ve organised the tables for all of us. When one of us asked if we can have one more table, the staff member was very rude and said you have to sit in a separate table and if we are not happy, we can leave! We ended up sitting in two different tables, but we were very disappointed with the way we were treated. I walked to one of the staff asking to speak to the supervisor or the manager. The supervisor was the rude staff that handled us at the beginning. I walked up to him very calmly and said we don’t appreciate the way you treated us, we didn’t feel welcomed and we do not believe we were treated fairly. He said you disturbed our customers! I said but we are customers and we are not here to beg, we are going to pay. He said this is business and you can’t expect us to accommodate your request on the weekend. I explained that we understand but he could have been more polite when he told us that he can’t offer us a table for all of us. He was extremely rude and racist and we are considering taking a legal action because we felt very offended. Then someone from the kitchen came and said we have customers and we either sit down or leave. We said we will leave because of the terrible cucumber service and he said you can leave and call the police if you want to!!! We felt so disappointed especially this place was recommended by one of our friends. We took pictures of the rude staff and the place and we are reporting it to management because after a long day all we wanted is a quiet family dinner but all we got is asked to leave the restaurant because we asked for a better customer service. We are 12 people and all of us took videos and pictures and we are going to post them all around the social media platforms. We can’t express how terribly we feel after this incident, our night is ruined and three hours later, we are still looking for another restaurant to go to. Never go there, they will treat you as trash! Even one star is too much for them"

"I have eaten at Chanak quite a few times and am amazed how everytime it is better than the last. The food here is exquisite. It's so fresh and beautifully prepared and presented. It can be absolutely full to the max with tables and the food still comes out on time, fresh and not at all like it's been sitting under a hot lamp. The service is great. Attentive, helpful, and quick. Lovely staff. The restaurant is nice and the ambience pleasant. I've never been there without it being a full/almost full restaurant, even midweek. I will continue to eat here and highly recommend others to do so."

"I made a reservation as recommended during the current situation. When I arrived, I was seated at my table, but a group of six foreign men were put at a table without a reservation and had their orders taken before us. We waited 25 minutes before anyone paid us any attention. At that point, I was close to leaving... When our food finally arrived, the Bruschetta was underwhelming - the bread was not even toasted and the toppings were lackluster. Then, our main course arrived as a pizza instead of the Risotto we had ordered. It was a disappointing experience overall. The loud behavior of the foreign men made us feel uncomfortable, and when we paid our bill, we were informed that we were the only ones who had made a reservation and were treated poorly. It is important to improve your service during these difficult times, as establishments like yours contribute to the challenges facing the UK."

"This is an exciting new establishment in a location that has seen many different businesses over the years. The pizzas are generously sized, and the dough is particularly impressive. "I haven't been able to visit lower Charminster for a couple of years or so. I was very hungry early evening on Tuesday 17th August 2021 and I went that way to order a favourite of mine, which is a chicken korma curry at the...Curry Master. I was disappointed to find it closed. This turned into a lucky day! Roxy's Bistro Bar was open. I went in and I was overjoyed to see Roxy herself on duty. Years ago I was a regular at Roxy's and virtually every time I went in Roxy was often working alone. I always enjoyed the food and a few pints of Becks. I mentioned to Roxy that my favourite pint is a Guinness. Much to my delight Roxy took note and announced on my next visit that canned Guinness with a widget inside was now on the drinks menu. It was delicious surprise from a can. Roxy has upstaged this can since then. Now another type of can is available. The Guinness is first poured into a glass and then placed on what appears to be an ultrasonic plate for a period of time. The result is as if it was poured from the traditional nitrogen gas hand pump. It's so close, it's not worth mentioning the subtle difference. I mentioned to Roxy I was starving and I would like to see the menu. Bless Roxy for remembering my preference for meat and fries. I went for Roxy's suggestion of a Today's Special of BBQ ribs with fries. The fries were unlike any I have had before, they were not out of fat frier for sure. They were delicious! The meat on the ribs was succulent and melted in my mouth with a wonderful tasting glazed sauce as a compliment. I enjoyed the fries even more when I dipped them in a pot of sauce which accompanied the me. No surprises for getting a great drink and a meal. What was really great is to find Roxy is back in her Bistro after taking a break from the restaurant to bring two lovely girls into the world. I recommended the Bistro years ago and I endorse the Bistro today. Do pop in and see for yourself. If you have a favourite and it's not on the menu mention it to Roxy and perhaps you'll find it available next time you visit? WELCOME BACK ROXY!"

"New Management. I discovered this cafe 3 years ago when a lovely brunette girl by the name Jerry and her mother Sonya had taken over management. For 3 years the cafe has worked like clockwork with amazingly cheap comfort food. The family have run this cafe with love tha reflected on the way they treated their customers. I have witnessed members of staff hugging other customers and I myself have neen given several freebies. The chef (mother) even baked her own spinach cake and allowed me to try it for free. "I was really looking forward to visiting La Fibule with friends after reading the good reviews it had on Trip Advisor, but our experience was not what I’d hoped for. We had an early reservation, so the restaurant was empty and we were told to just sit where we wanted which was fine. When we sat down, no menus were offered. When I asked for menus, our waiter was rude. The food we ordered came fairly promptly, but the hummus I’d ordered was not seasoned and bland. In fact the Tagine I ordered for my main dish was equally bland. My friends were happier with their selections, so it might have just been bad luck on my part. After we were served our mains, our waiter seemed to disappear. We would have liked to have ordered a coffee after, but just chose to get the bill after waiting so long for our waiter to return. So, bland food and poor service mean I won’t be visiting La Fibule again."
