"After booking through OpenTable, I received a call to confirm my reservation. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was greeted by delightful smells and a great atmosphere. We were led to our table where we were informed about the specials and had our choice of wine and water brought to us. The staff, who were happy and friendly, went out of their way to accommodate a family group next to us who were ordering various dishes from the menu. We opted for the steak meal for two, which was cooked perfectly, and enjoyed a bottle of Rose. I highly recommend trying the Dianne Sauce with your steak. The dessert was also delicious and the attentive and cheerful staff were more than willing to cater to our every need. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant and will return next time I am in the area. Thank you for a wonderful evening."

Excellent service by friendly staff. Eating was good, but portions were too big and in the future I would share a main course. I hate seeing food waste. I have a good appetite, but could only pat half the liver and manage about half the lemon sole. Otherwise great atmosphere and would return here if in Richmond.

The friendly staff provided excellent service at this restaurant. While the food was good, the portions were too large for one person to finish. In the future, I would consider sharing a main course to avoid waste. Despite this, the atmosphere was great and I would definitely come back if I am in Richmond again.

The food was fantastic and the staff was very friendly. The only problem was that we went on a warm evening, so that the restaurant was small, it made the atmosphere very hot and full. The air cone made little difference to the temperature within so found It is very unpleasant and could not wait to come out what was a shame when everything else gets top brands. This is said I would go again, only not on a warm day / evening. View menu

I had an excellent experience with the friendly staff, who provided outstanding service. The food was enjoyable, but the portion sizes were quite large; in the future, I would opt to share a main course. I dislike food waste, and while I have a good appetite, I could only manage half of the liver and half of the lemon sole. Aside from that, the atmosphere was fantastic, and I would definitely return if I'm in Richmond again.

The dining experience was fantastic, and the staff was very friendly. The only issue we encountered was that we visited on a warm evening, and the restaurant felt quite small, which made the atmosphere hot and stuffy. The air conditioning didn't seem to help much with the temperature, making it quite uncomfortable. It was disappointing, especially considering that many other top restaurants manage this better. That said, I would definitely return — just not on a warm day or night.

The food was wonderful and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The only downside was that we visited on a warm evening and the small size of the restaurant made the atmosphere very hot and stuffy. Despite the air conditioning being on, it didn't help much in cooling down the temperature inside, making it quite uncomfortable. We couldn't wait to leave and get some fresh air, which was disappointing considering everything else was excellent. However, I would still go back, just not on a warm day or evening. View menu

Next to us, a family group was enjoying their meals, ordering various dishes from the menu, and it was clear that nothing was too much trouble for the cheerful and accommodating staff. We decided to share the steak for two, which was cooked to perfection, and the bottle of rosé we ordered was exquisite. I highly recommend trying the Diane sauce with the steak; it was a perfect complement. For dessert, we were treated to another delicious creation, and once again, the friendly staff made sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely recommend this place, and we look forward to dining here again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

After booking through the open table I received a call from a man to confirm. Upon arrival in the restaurant the smell and atmosphere was divine. We were shown to our table and informed about the specialties and then our wine was brought to us with water for the table. There was a family group next to us and they seemed to order different meals from the menu, but nothing was too much trouble for the happy, friendly staff. We ate the steak food for two, this was cooked for perfection and the bottle of rose was also beautiful. I would also recommend that you try the Dianne Sauce if Steak. The dessert was also beautiful and nothing was too much for the friendly, happy staff. Will definitely rec...

"It’s sort of become tradition for my wife I to treat ourselves to a breakfast out on our last day on holiday after leaving our cottage accommodation. We spent a week in Richmond; have never been to the area before and were pleased, after internet searching, to have found this lovely place. We had to leave our cottage by 10:00am and drove the short distance straight to Middlemoor Farm and, so, arrived quite early on a Saturday morning – we were the first to arrive. It was a lovely sunny day, which just emphasised the lovely surroundings. We were greeted by a lovely lady who asked us if we’d been before, to which we said no, and she explained that it was her first ever morning on breakfasts. She was most friendly and made us feel so-very welcome. There are plenty of tables inside and we chose to sit near a window overlooking a field with sheep grazing – I mean…what an idyllic place to have your breakfast. She and the Cook were so accommodating when we asked if we could both have a ‘full English’ but with veggie sausages instead of meat sausages bacon. I say accommodating because a veggie version was not on their menu and they had to look to see if they had any, which they did. That’s worth noting for those wishing not to eat meat – just ask ‘em and see. The breakfast, side plate of toast butter and pot of tea was just perfect – really tasty and we didn’t leave a thing. There’s a lovely shop attached with many gift items, very clean toilet facilities and in addition to the indoor seating, there’s plenty of outdoor seating too; some of which were covered with a gazebo during our visit. They have card payment facilities. Thank you to the staff of Middlemoor Farm Café for making our traditional last day breakfast out one to remember – we will be back if-staying in the area again."

"We had booked with booking.com . On arrival we were told that we didn't get breakfast included and that it would be £15 a head. We accepted this although thought was pretty steep for breakfast in a pub.The first morning we were given a menu clearly stating that breakfasts were included with all accommodation. I ordered poached eggs with smoked salmon and the other two ordered a full English breakfast which included homemade black pudding. The breakfasts arrived ,one of my poached eggs was runny, the other hard. The English breakfasts had no black pudding on the plates and when queried we were told that the deliveries hadn't arrived. Doesn't homemade imply made on or near the premises and as the owner states he is a butcher by trade I would expect he had made the black pudding. No alternatives were offered and presentation was distinctly lacking , with the baked beans poured over the other items. The next day I risked the full breakfast with black pudding which was lovely. But again the others had badly cooked poached eggs. We were offered no fruit juice, cereal or even toast and marmalade. On leaving we discovered the pub was unmanned , despite poor mobile signal. The owner turned up after 15 minutes. The bill was handed over, charging us for seven breakfasts when we had six, it was adjusted after he asked if one of us had had two breakfast one day? He served and cooked them so should know the answer to that. We were also then overcharged for nine coffee when three coffees and two teas had been ordered. Having had a family B and small hotel in York I advised him that standards were not what I was used to. I spoke to someone who had also visited recently and she stated a member of staff had charged them £15 per head for their similar breakfast where we were charged the menu price. Exceptionally poor menu, inaccurate advise saying breakfast included then charging us and probably the worst breakfast I have eaten in similar accommodation."
