"Modern Indian restaurant with swift service and great food - very flavoursome but light, not oily or heavy at all."

"My wife and I had a wonderfully relaxing evening at The Crispy Duck, a high-quality Pan Asian restaurant located just outside the city center. I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service and atmosphere. The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience."

"I like good food, but I'm not particularly demanding either. This food is by far the worst I've ever tasted in Birmingham since the last 10 years or so. I ordered 2 kebabs (pita chicken) and a cheese burger. I was hungry yet I couldn't eat any of them. The burger meated tastes like polystyrene or something. Kebab meat was greasy beyond imagination. There are many kinds of quality in kebab meat, this one is clearly the bottom one. It was also full of these cheap chili and mayo sauce. The overall impression is that every single ingredient of this food is the cheapest existing on the market. Don't expect to enjoy this food, except if you are accustomed to extremely low standards."

"Visited for lunch last week, and was again really impressed by the choice, food quality, and friendly welcome. Ordered pumpkin korokke and takoyaki to start, both very tasty and a good size portion. then sushi for me spicy salmon inside out rolls with wasabi tobiko on the outside, and some avocado maki. My companion had chicken yakisoba and a glass of wine. The menu is really extensive and everything is freshly made by the chefs behind the counter. Really impressed by the quality generously filled sushi that was nicely presented and the manager and team were friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!"

"Confusing experience that I unfortunately regret how I handled it. Me and my friend went for dinner. As we were looking over what to eat we heard a couple who were a few tables down ask the waiter if the food was two for one on starters and mains. He responded yes. When the waiter came to our table I asked him the same question and he said yes. Me and my friend proceeded to order two starters and two mains between us(before I ordered I also asked him a further question if we could mix and match the orders. He also said yes) When the time came to pay only one starter and main was on the bill including our drinks. We paid the bill. Only then after the waiter asked if we had a card to show we get two for one on food. We were so confused at this point because not once from the start I enquired about the deal until we paid did he mentioned we needed a card to be eligible for this deal. In fact why even take payment before confirming. He spoke with his manager and they said we’d need to pay full price. I wish I hadn’t but I didn’t want to make a big fuss. It seems like a big oversight on the restaurants part not to check these things. In terms of food. My calamari included deep fried courgettes and bell peppers which I found baffling. I ordered calamari not calamari and vegetables. My friends pizza was underwhelming and the lemon spritz was not nice. Avoid if you can."

"Visited the Ebrington Arms many years ago and was impressed. I'm please to report nothing has changed. It's a charming pub in the Cotswolds that serves great food but it still a pub, with a welcoming pub atmosphere and good beer. They also accommodated my son's food allergies with no fuss something that often makes eating out as a family problematic. Highly recommended."

"The environment is friendly and welcoming, however the phone does go off which is a minor inconvenience at best. The decor makes you feel as if you are in a gastronomic trendy restaurant, as per the exposed brick, dark furniture and bright yellow bulbs. Additionally The real selling point is the sushi wheel inside. The menu is limited although this is more to the restaurant size however the refined menu does make way for excellent quality. Just be ready to pay sushi prices is all I'm going to say on that point I've had both sit down and dining and can recommend both. Although this is if you can get the staff's attention as when it is quite they huddle in the area by the coffee machine and talk to each other. Overall I would defiantly come again as it is a gem for the area, although is let down by staff who can be seen in the corner and the phone going off."

"I made a reservation online but was able to increase the number of people at the table by calling, which was very convenient. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The atmosphere was pleasant, with relaxing background music playing softly. All the food was served hot and freshly cooked; the bread and rice were nice. Although I would have preferred the meat dishes to be a bit spicier, everything was flavorful and appetizing. We all found the prices to be reasonable, and the overall experience was quite humble."

"I visited this restaurant with friends and ordered 2 pizzas. Unfortunately, the pizzas were too crispy and hard to cut. The taste was okay, but it was a struggle to eat, with one of my friends giving up after only 2 slices. The mixed grill we ordered consisted of cheap sausages, a frozen hamburger, average steak, and haggis that looked unappetizing. The tortellini pasta was decent, but the garlic bread was made with cheap white bread, butter, and garlic salt. The service was slow, even though we were the only customers in the restaurant for 30 minutes. The calamari was served in small slivers. Overall, my friends and I were very disappointed with our dining experience. We ended up spending £100 here and left feeling unsatisfied, ultimately deciding to go elsewhere for food. My friends’ visit to Edinburgh was also negatively impacted by this experience."

"Upon arrival at the restaurant, my reservation was not honored even though I had the confirmation. I was seated at a table for two, but it was not comfortable as we had to sit on the side of the chairs, not facing each other. I chose this restaurant because my guest is vegetarian and the menu supposedly had good salad options for them. However, these salads were not available on the menu. When I inquired, I was told that there was only one menu option available, leaving my guest with limited choices. The restroom was also inconveniently located far away from the restaurant, causing a line of people queuing into the dining area. Overall, I felt disappointed with the experience and did not enjoy it as advertised."

"A relatively new venture on Kilmarnock Road. Bab e Khyber is a monument guarding the entrance to the Khyber Pass. You can, therefore, expect Peshawari Pakistani and Afghani food of a high standard. And this place delivers.Nice clean informal airy space to sit in with wooden tables and chairs. It's not high end but it's not meant to be.The menu is not extensive but it doesn't need to be.We opted for a takeaway. It was ready in sooner than the promised twenty minutes. Service was friendly.Cash only at the moment.Lamb kobideh kabab: two substantial minced lamb kebabs spiced with cumin and coriander, grilled to perfection, and served in a freshly baked naan with onions, cucumber, tomatoes and a yoghurt sauce. Excellent.Biryani chicken: a reasonable portion for the price. A superior takeaway biryani the grains of long grain rice were firm and separate rather than the soggy mush it sometimes turns into when overcooked. Not a lot of actual chicken but flavourful.Lots of other interesting things to try on another date including karahi, haleem and Lahori channa (chickpeas).Deserves five stars for quality and value."

"The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere and serves delicious food. The platter for four was quite generous and could easily feed six people. Manisha provided excellent service. I highly recommend this place. It is perfect for dinner, with prices ranging from £10-£20 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive top marks of 5. Vegetarians will also be pleased with the options available. Highly recommended."
