"After having been a couple times in their durham restaurant, I had no doubt that their newcastle operation in the mosley street would also deliver. or should that actually be deliveroo. everything was as good as expected; sweetcorn cake, veg tempura, green curry, red curry, jasmin rice and sticky rice. a veritables fixed with many rests to breakfast"

"My wife and I had a wonderfully relaxing evening at The Crispy Duck, a high-quality Pan Asian restaurant located just outside the city center. I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service and atmosphere. The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience."

"Not too bad, but not so good.... Menu: good variety. Food quality: specially what they called as beef. The rest was OK. Food preparation: lack of flavor and besides the noodles there wasn't much of the other ingredients in my bowl. Price: for what was mentioned before it could be cheaper, but the restaurants on that area of the city normally charge a bit more anyway and the people who live there think it's cheap. Service: don't need to be smiley all the time, but being a bit more friendly would be nice. Cleanliness: not really much to say, in general seemed alright. Oh, and they don't accept cards, only cash!"

"I like good food, but I'm not particularly demanding either. This food is by far the worst I've ever tasted in Birmingham since the last 10 years or so. I ordered 2 kebabs (pita chicken) and a cheese burger. I was hungry yet I couldn't eat any of them. The burger meated tastes like polystyrene or something. Kebab meat was greasy beyond imagination. There are many kinds of quality in kebab meat, this one is clearly the bottom one. It was also full of these cheap chili and mayo sauce. The overall impression is that every single ingredient of this food is the cheapest existing on the market. Don't expect to enjoy this food, except if you are accustomed to extremely low standards."

"Visited the Ebrington Arms many years ago and was impressed. I'm please to report nothing has changed. It's a charming pub in the Cotswolds that serves great food but it still a pub, with a welcoming pub atmosphere and good beer. They also accommodated my son's food allergies with no fuss something that often makes eating out as a family problematic. Highly recommended."

"I highly recommend this Indian a real hidden gem which serves authentic dishes made with care from the finest ingredients. This restaurant might cost a few pounds more than the bang average Indian but it is absolutely worth every penny. Portion sizes are generous too. If you look at the pilau rice alone, you will see how much passion the chef has to produce something well executed and a far cry better than the usual yellow rice served by others. I ate in and felt safe because this venue takes utmost care for social distancing and the beautiful interior is spotless. Please do visit or order in for an absolute treat."

"great place, was here for a surprise birthday dinner for one of my friends and the personal was really understanding about our order and the delay and something. Eating was good and the pizzas were particularly amazing. the Ragu pizza should die. they even let us cut our own cake at the end. I must admit, but we had a 50% discount on all food because of our booking through a particular website. I'm not sure if I had eaten it would be worth it if it had been full. at 50% it was a bargain!"

"Upon arrival at the restaurant, my reservation was not honored even though I had the confirmation. I was seated at a table for two, but it was not comfortable as we had to sit on the side of the chairs, not facing each other. I chose this restaurant because my guest is vegetarian and the menu supposedly had good salad options for them. However, these salads were not available on the menu. When I inquired, I was told that there was only one menu option available, leaving my guest with limited choices. The restroom was also inconveniently located far away from the restaurant, causing a line of people queuing into the dining area. Overall, I felt disappointed with the experience and did not enjoy it as advertised."

"Waited a few weeks before trying, to allow the place to settle. Wasnt sure what to try so played safe with pakora. Thinkng was that if a place can't get pakora right then that sends a clear message for more complex meals I'm afraid it was a brutal experience and in all honesty the worst pakora I have ever tried and trust me, like a few, I have probably eaten my weight in pakora over the years Other places cook and reheat too, I get it, but this was dry chicken pakora closer to rubber than chicken. And even if not made well at least other places give you chicken breast. A few bits were something else, gristle? Chucked those bits away, then quickly threw the rest in the bin Sorry if you cant make the simplist of food, then no chance of trying anything else. Shame"

"This restaurant lacks cooking skills and serves tasteless and poorly presented food. It was a waste of time and money to travel 25 miles from Slough for their supposedly authentic Indian cuisine on Eid dinner. The few dishes offered were bland and served in a congested and dirty environment. The untrained team members lacked manners when dealing with customers. The high prices charged for subpar food make it not worth visiting, as it's a waste of time, money, and energy."

"In Preston Street, there is a Thai restaurant called Kanok Thai . Once we entered, we noticed a nauseating smell. A mix of foot stinks and humidity...but that wasn 't a problem. We asked the waitress for advice on some clarifications on the menu. She was flawless on the information given. Some were followed, others totally ignored. We ordered: 'Crispy noodle ' and 'Mushroom Sateh ' as starters, 'grill chicken ' and 'grill prawn ' as main course. The starters were good, but the main dish was so-so. A special mention for Anna who was very kind. Average food...unfortunately you can 't have everything in life Eh eh eh."

"the pictures on google maps led me here and we were not disappointed. we started with the veg spring rolls and maize cake. the early rolls were good, but the maiscakes were the real star. I could eat them all day! we then had the vegan panang curry, lamb curry and bark. everyone was very happy with his meal. I am told that lamb and bark were tender, and my vegan curry was on point. I especially liked the red curry sauce and the choice of the waiter was also very sweet and attentive, so I will definitely be back!"

"REVIEWED AS PART OF THE WORLD CUP OF BREAKFASTS:El Vergel describes itself as a Latin American and Mediterranean caterers. I’m reliably informed that the menu is mainly Chilean inspired, which isn’t top of most peoples lists when it comes to breakfast. However, the weekend brunch menu here is extensive and is served from 10-4 on Saturdays and Sundays. It is a little bit ‘out of the way’ and probably felt more so on a Sunday morning than it would do during the week. It is a 10 minute walk south of the foodie mecca of Borough Market and 5 minutes from arty Union Street The atmosphere is relaxed, concrete and wooden benches are offset by colourful artwork, graffiti on the walls...read more"

"Oh dear, this didn 't go well at all. I had high expectations given the previous reviews. I used to eat here but hadn 't been for years due to changes in ownership. Our starters were pleasant (I had cheese chunks and only had 2, which was a little disappointing, whilst my friend had fried shrimp and had about 6). Her main was the duck breast, and I had steak. This was when it started to go wrong! The food was lukewarm (tepid, even). I didn 't feel inclined to complain as it just lovely to be out with my friend. When I enquired about her duck, she said it was a very strange texture, so I tried it ... it was like eating mushy pate. It had no substance or solidity at all. At this point I had been eating around the outside of my steak, saving the middle bit as this is my favourite. Unfortunately, when I got to it, I found that it, too, was mushy. The waitress had told us when I ordered medium rare that it was not available as the steak was put in a water bath beforehand to make it tender and so medium was the only option. I believe that she was referring to sous vide , and when meat is overcooked by this method, it does become mushy. The waiter did relay our comments to the chef, and we did find that the charges for the meat had been removed from the bill. We still paid for our two potato side dishes which we hadn 't eaten because there hadn 't been anything to accompany them, but never mind. We tried to order coffee the waiter didn 't know if they served decaf (turns out they do). I asked for a floater coffee but he didn 't know what that was so I said that if they didn 't do floater coffee, I would just have a coffee with cream. He came back to say that they don 't have cream. I asked for Earl Grey tea, which they do have. I was then served Breakfast tea. They did then change it for Earl Grey. In the end, my friend and I had an enjoyable evening out, and laughed at the events of the evening. But, to be honest, I think it is highly unlikely we will go back because part of the pleasure of a meal out is to actually eat and enjoy the food, which didn 't happen on this occasion."
