"We got free Spring Rolls and Prawn Crackers! First time ordering from here and must say the food was pretty good. The collection was on time, no delays or issues. We ordered Sweet and Sour Pork and Chicken, I must say that the pork was crunchy, crispy and tasted really nice it to mentioned the sauce was just the right amount of sweet and sour. The chicken was cooked lovely too with the same crunch as the pork. Wished they had more sauce but the amount was good enough. The portion sizes are good for the price. You get a lot of meat out of it as well. Also ordered crab claws, squid and prawn toast which is as expected"

"The Sanbao Chinese Kitchen is quick, flavoursome and cheap – especially at lunchtime. The lunch special is a bargain £6.50, which includes drink (choices include fruit juices and Chinese tea), starter and main course with rice. You pay £7.50 for some of the premium choices. The only problem is, everything pitches up together. While I was delighted to receive my mushroom consommé – good flavour, slightly gloopy – almost immediately after ordering, I was dismayed to be brought my main course barely 20 seconds later. The sweet and sour chicken dish with pineapple was good, with a rich red citrusy sauce and mound of rice, but it was so hard on the heels of the starter that it was difficult to juggle everything. It’s less of problem if you order, say, a spring roll starter, which can be incorporated into the meal. Usually, the mushroom soup is £3.80, the sweet and sour chicken £7.50, the rice £1.50, the tea £1.50… so you get £14.30 worth of food and drink for your £6.50. And it has to be £6.50 as the restaurant is one in a line of eateries fiercely competing for Hammersmith’s lunchtime trade. The lunch choice is excellent, from sea spicy aubergine and pork with rice to mixed seafood with rice. The dishes are all wok-cooked, and you can hear the cooking and kitchen babble. Service is slick and swift – too swift in some cases! But this is superb value, tasty fresh-cooked food and an ideal hot lunch."

"The restaurant looks beautiful from the outside and has an inviting interior. Initial impressions were good as it was busy (and had lots of Chinese guests which I took as a sign the food would be good) which was very encouraging on a Tuesday night. The initial drinks service was incredibly slow. I had to request drinks three times as we were well into our starters before they arrived. The servers ranged from unfriendly, to rude and seemed to give certain tables preferential treatment. The weak customer service made it a slightly uncomfortable experience and it was hard work getting more drinks, sauces, the table cleared etc. The food itself (and I eat in a lot of Chinese restaurants) ranged from below average or very poor. The barbecue ribs were fatty and disgusting in a horrible sauce and the crab and sweetcorn soup was scalding hot, bland and contained very little crab or sweetcorn. The rice was clumpy and overcooked and the sweet and sour pork really poor… huge clumps of fatty pork… I actually had to spit some of it out and left most of it. Very disappointing as had high hopes. We will not be returning and will be recommending that friends and family give it a miss."

"I recently enjoyed a delightful breakfast at this restaurant. The omelette was perfect and the bacon was delicious. The staff were very friendly and I appreciated the beautiful surroundings of trees, giving it a charming Center Parcs-like vibe. Overall, I give this restaurant a 5 out of 5 for food, service, and atmosphere. The price per person was £30-40 for breakfast."

"We met friends here for a couple of nights as it was central and also ideally located for walking into the city and site-seeing. We did the 2 night deal with money off dinner and a bottle of prosecco. The room was ok, clean and a comfy bed but very tired. The shaver point in the bathroom didn't work and we had to go into another room to shower as our shower was stuck on red hot! The disappointing part of the whole weekend was the evening meal. Over priced and just not of good quality. Mussels the size of peas and the belly of pork soggy with no crispy crackling and no apple sauce in the whole place! Overall a dreadful meal. The breakfasts were ok with a nice selection for the cooked breakfast. However it too was let down by not being topped up BEFORE it had run out so firstly I waited for the coffee machine as it had run out of beans, then there was no orange juice and then to top it all no bacon, hash browns or sausages. By the time they had been topped up the scrambled egg was stone cold on our plates. On the plus side the staff were smiley, friendly and helpful although there didn't appear to be any actual management on site. Definitely needs a total overhaul."

"This is 100% the very best chinese food i have ever had. I shared prawn sesame toast and salted chilli mini ribs as starters with my wife. The toast was fabulous but the ribs... wow! They were to die for! Amazing! For my main i had chicken schezuan and crispy shredded chilli beef and egg fried rice. The chicken schezuan was fantastic, the rice was wonderful but the shredded beef... i have never tasted this done so well. Any other chinese i have tried just pales compared to Choi's. The service was prompt, polite but in no way pushy. The bill was £44 for two of us which would be good anyway but for the quality of food we recieved was more than a bargain. I was so impressed i asked to meet the chef. I was taken thru to the kitchen and i thanked him and bowed with respect. Stunning! Go there... you won't regret it!"

"The Wok Inn was not the best experience for our celebration with friends. The manager was abrasive and rude from the moment we arrived, limiting our menu options and dictating our choices. The starters were overly salted and portion sizes were smaller than expected. The main courses were average at best, with some dishes lacking flavor. The staff, however, were friendly and accommodating, especially the female wait staff. Overall, the ambience was okay, but we do not plan on returning any time soon, especially for a special occasion. The lack of customer service was disappointing, and we hope the management takes note that customers should come first."

"I dined in for dinner, and it was a delightful experience! The price per person is quite reasonable, falling between £10–20. I highly recommend trying the Gong Bao Chicken and Braised Beef, both of which were flavorful and expertly prepared. The Poutine was a comforting treat, and the Dry Fried Green Beans added a nice crunch to the meal. The Salted Egg Tofu was a standout, with its unique taste, while the Mongolian Beef was tender and juicy. If you're a fan of noodles, the Mixed Vegetables Chow Mein is a must-try. Additionally, the Aromatic Crispy Duck was crispy and incredibly satisfying. Don't miss the Char Siu Bun, which was perfectly steamed, and the Salt and Pepper Chips, which were a delicious side. For those who enjoy dumplings, the Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings (煎饺) are a tasty option. I also sampled the Sweet and Sour Chicken, which was just the right balance of flavors. The Pad Thai was another highlight, and the Peking Duck Bento was beautifully presented. For a less traditional option, the Chips were a nice addition to any meal. Overall, this restaurant offers a fantastic variety of dishes that cater to all tastes. I can't wait to return for another meal!"

"We have been loyal customers of this restaurant for many years, but sadly our last visit was disappointing due to the new management. The spare ribs had meat on only half of the bone, the seaweed was overly salted, the smoked chicken tasted like fudge due to being covered in sugar, and the wontons were smaller than before. The chow mein and noodles were extremely dry as well. When ordering delivery, they give a vague time frame of 'half an hour before or half an hour later' than the requested time, which is frustrating. The restaurant no longer offers a 20% NHS discount and feedback on their Facebook page yielded no response. One positive note is that the delivery drivers are always polite, especially a young lad who helped his dad deliver our order and wished us to enjoy our food."

"Again we ordered our meal from the new joy in Loanhead as we decided to give them another chance as our last meal was terrible the curry sauce was tasteless and was like water spare ribs burnt phoned and complained with very little response from them. Anyway we ordered another meal and the curry was better but the chips were like they had been in a puddle the spring rolls were cold and tough the blackbean pork was tough as old boots and just warm .so that it from us told them we will never order from them again and will go elsewhere from now on."

"This is the best Chinese restaurant around. I couldn't fault anything in my order and will definitely be coming back here from now on. I ordered the beef curry fried rice and salt and chilli chips, both of which were delicious. The beef was tender and not at all soggy like other Chinese restaurants in the area. The chips were also great. I give this place a 5-star rating in every category - food, service, and atmosphere. The price per person is between £10-20."

"I've been a regular here for years now, I order at least once a week by pre-ordering or failing that I order a collection and pick it up on my way home from work, I know they are a popular takeaway so I usually order my food early during the day to avoid having to wait to long. I have watched them all in action and they seem like a super tight-knit team, drivers always rushing in and then out, the guys behind the counter are very pro-active when it comes to organising everything, everyone seems to know exactly what they are doing and me being nosey I found out they monitor and adjust delivery times throughout the night. Having ADHD I don't miss much in the way of details."

"Ordering over the phone was very efficient and easy to understand. Food is normally good, however last order was more ‘tub with meat, lots of onions and non-descript sauce’ territory. Chilli and Garlic beef should have actual chilli and garlic in it. Please be careful not to cut back on quality to save money. Also, please start taking card and contactless payments. We’d use you more but we rarely have cash. Service: Take out"
