"I dined in for dinner, and it was a delightful experience! The price per person is quite reasonable, falling between £10–20. I highly recommend trying the Gong Bao Chicken and Braised Beef, both of which were flavorful and expertly prepared. The Poutine was a comforting treat, and the Dry Fried Green Beans added a nice crunch to the meal. The Salted Egg Tofu was a standout, with its unique taste, while the Mongolian Beef was tender and juicy. If you're a fan of noodles, the Mixed Vegetables Chow Mein is a must-try. Additionally, the Aromatic Crispy Duck was crispy and incredibly satisfying. Don't miss the Char Siu Bun, which was perfectly steamed, and the Salt and Pepper Chips, which were a delicious side. For those who enjoy dumplings, the Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings (煎饺) are a tasty option. I also sampled the Sweet and Sour Chicken, which was just the right balance of flavors. The Pad Thai was another highlight, and the Peking Duck Bento was beautifully presented. For a less traditional option, the Chips were a nice addition to any meal. Overall, this restaurant offers a fantastic variety of dishes that cater to all tastes. I can't wait to return for another meal!"

I couldn't believe my eyes—a man dressed as a duck was urinating on people while wearing a hat!

Our last takeaway order was disappointing. Instead of roast pork or char siu, the pork was some sort of Spam product. Not great. Service: Take out Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

The Peking duck here is truly authentic, served with duck pancakes and soup. The sauce is delicious, and the staff are extremely friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant! I will definitely return!

I had a great experience at this restaurant and would definitely return in person. The prices are quite affordable compared to other similar Chinese restaurants in the area. If you enjoy Peking cuisine, this is the perfect spot for you. However, be sure to call ahead to check for availability, as it can get busy. Lastly, I really appreciated how clean the restrooms were, which is a nice bonus for me.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
